Aaron I know you say your a shorter dude like myself, and I see that the sleeves on these jackets fit you almost to perfection. In my experience most outerwear have sleeves that are way to long and I’ve only been able to get perfect fitting sleeves when I get it custom made. What is your weight and or shoulder /chest / waist / hip , And arm length. I would definitely blind buy Thursday leather jackets if I knew that the sleeves fit right and the length of the jacket was around 26-26 1/2 inch. Those are numbers that fit most men under 5’ 10”. My measurements are as follows Neck 16 1/2” Shoulders 20” Chest 46” Waist 34” Hip 40” Length in back 26 - 26 1/2” Sleeve length around a 33 -34”max. Cuff diameter 9” My tailor says “math doesn’t lie give me numbers and I can make it fit to perfection every time” Now you having this platform, owning and reviewing this particular brand. Could you answer or do a more specific sizing of your measurements and jackets so that we could have more information when we purchase them. I believe that would be an invaluable help to all of us and something no other reviewer does for their viewers and subscribers. lol I used to wear a German leather trench coat , I got it from an auction , I sold it but it was nice , I got to be honest it was out of style , it was too long , almost touched the ground , people probably taught I'm goth or something , I try not to wear leather coats since I'm trying to be vegetarians now so I stay away from leather coats but I wear one every now and than , I owned 3 long leather trench coats that I sold , I felt like it was out of style , I don't know it looked good I guess but anything longer than your angles is probably too long , you should probably not wear it , guess it depends as a style tip I would say wear a leather coat with a dress shirt rather than a t-shirt unless its one of those motorcycle coats , generally speaking leather coats are worn with dress shirts and jeans and casual boots or maybe even cowboy boots , I wouldn't wear a tie with it , ties are too formal
The has got to be one of his best videos ever. I have bought over 20 jackets in the last year and spent countless hours shopping for all of them. These videos as well as those by Courtney Ryan and many others have helped tremendously!! Great public service being done by a great content creator. Every minute spent on Aaron's content is a hundred times better spent than on stupid streaming TV shows that do nothing but put propaganda in our heads with nothing to show for it afterwards.

I bought the Roadster jacket from Thursday; I am really surprised you did not throw that in their as an alternative to the Racer design. They are similar but the Roadster has a little extra detail which makes it more badass in matte black and slightly thicker leather which most folks will appreciate.
Tbh I only started wearing leather jackets when I started to ride motorcycles. Now I have a closet dedicated just to my leather lol. If you ride and want a stylish street jacket. Merlin, Roland Sands, and Helston make some of the best out there.

How do u find the size for these jackets? None of these guys offer returns on international purchase! Like how do I know if I need a medium or a large and should it be tight or should it be loose
If you want quality leather jacket go with Belstaff. I own 5 of em. 3/5 i purchased 10y ago and they still look as new. Ofc, with professional leather care every 2 years. To add, they costed me over 800$ each, some even double than that, but its worth if you love leather.
Leather jackets are THE most badass style option a man can rock. Just make sure you grab one that fits. Even if the jacket feels a bit tight, you'll break it in, and it'll feel and look way better on you instead of sizing up. One thing I want to mention is the price of these things. $500 is quite a bit of money for a lot of people to spend on one clothing item. But the difference in quality once you get to about that $500 threshold is night and day. It's VERY well worth it to save your money a bit longer to get a higher end jacket. Learning to work the systems will help too. Wait till Spring or Summer if you are thinking about upgrading your jacket game. Almost all companies will be looking to get rid of the previous years fall and winter collections so they'll offer huge discounts. I waited till Summer this year, and grabbed a brand new All Saints jacket for $160 as opposed to its usual $570 price tag. Not saying they'll all go down that cheap, but you'll definitely be able to find some killer deals if you have a little patience and snoop around a bit.
True that price will almost definitely dictate quality of craftsmanship and material but that's not a guarantee that it will dictate if the material is real or not. And it won't dictate whether the style is good for you. If the material is real and the fit is good then the only people who will be able to tell the difference in craftsmanship will be people who buy $500 jackets regularly. And im not about to let myself be judged by somone who shops like that. I agree that we should aim for the best quality we can find on our budget and if we are smart about it then we can find something of amazing quality at an amazing price. Especially if we are willing to shop used

With the moto jackets I noticed people usually wear them a little looser than instead of gray he typical fitting look… thoughts? I am thinking more getting the MILO jacket from all saints and not sure if it should be a little looser than ‘racer’ jacket or still form fitting
I've currently got two, both bomber style. One is a black leather racer jacket (lamb leather), which I just got recently, and the other is a chocolate brown suede jacket (goat leather). I managed to get both for 270 and 200 NZD, but they were also both end of season and had been moved to the shop brand's outlet store, so down from 500-600 NZD. The next one I'm gonna look out for is a Shearling jacket, preferably in dark brown leather.
Nice video, I'm 23 and I just bough a collared front zip jacket and now I have to know how to wear it. I'm really excited because I bought it for only 30€ because it's arround 20 years old but this jacket cost 300€ but looks brand new, the previous owner told me he never really wear it because he bought it like a whim in a trip to Germany and it wasn't really his style and seeing it in real life I totally belive him it doesn't even have a scratch. I'm actually surprised how heavy it is and about it's smell even after almost 20 years

Thursday Boots have excellent boots, sneakers, jackets, belts and they have a store in Manhattan… I been there & have a few pairs of boots ! Best bang for the buck on real leather jackets & boots that smell like leather !!!
For $70, it has to faux leather. I honestly think $500 is a bit cheap for a quality leather jacket. I'd say $700-$800 is the minimum price for quality.

Got my first real leather jacket this week. Its a clean brown sheep nappa jacket with two zippered chest pockets and zippered hand warmer pockets. What i like about it is the strap at the collar and the sleeves with a zippers to close it up in strong wind.

I have the Keanu jacket and chelsea boots in black matte finish and the fit is amazing. The price is a bit high but worth it because the jacket and boots are universal and have the ability to dress it up or down.

Alpha, I've been on a weight loss journey over the last two years and I've lost close to 200 pounds with another 30-50 more to go. I really want to start building my new wardrobe but I'm not quite there yet. Also, while Thursday does have amazing products they are outside my price range and budget. What are some other options under $100?
Wow, amazing effort. Congratulations, that sounds like quite a journey. I agree that it wouldn't be wise to invest in more expensive items, while you're in the middle of a transformation, but you still want to dress well to celebrate your achievement. I'd say while your size is still changing, thrift/pre-owned is a great way to get nice quality at crazy low prices. Armpit to armpit measurements are a must if buying online, so you can compare with existing items that fit well. End of season sales in mid-range stores can get you some great deals too, but don't go overboard on items that won't fit you in a few months time. Fit is king. I love my cafe racer style jacket in black, but it's kinda invisible. I get lots of compliments wearing brown leather or suede in the same style. They're more versatile than you'd think. I'm nearly 50, and I think they'd look good at any age.
been considering the thursday boot roadster jacket in a M athletic. I’m 5’11 165. I’ve heard the liners they use are very thin though so i’m on the fence.

So do you have any advice on how to wear leather jackets in hot weather? (If that is possible at all without dying from a heatstroke.) The biggest rule is not be overweight with a gut. You can get a great lambskin leather from angel jackets for 180 dollars. Bought a great retro car coat. Gained 10 lbs and now its to tight. Still looks good. You cant tell it fits tight. But its uncomfortable zipped and sitting. That one black jacket you wore looked to tight around your gut. And your thin.

Ok, I bought the black racer jacket, I am 5'10", 180 lbs, 43" chest, 32 waist and 33 sleeves. I bought the large and it fits better on me than on the guy in this video.

If you want quality leather jacket go with Belstaff. I own 5 of em. 3/5 i purchased 10y ago and they still look as new. Ofc, with professional leather care every 2 years. To add, they costed me over 800$ each, some even double than that, but its worth if you love leather.
Leather jackets are THE most badass style option a man can rock. Just make sure you grab one that fits. Even if the jacket feels a bit tight, you'll break it in, and it'll feel and look way better on you instead of sizing up.
One thing I want to mention is the price of these things. $500 is quite a bit of money for a lot of people to spend on one clothing item. But the difference in quality once you get to about that $500 threshold is night and day. It's VERY well worth it to save your money a bit longer to get a higher end jacket.
Learning to work the systems will help too. Wait till Spring or Summer if you are thinking about upgrading your jacket game. Almost all companies will be looking to get rid of the previous years fall and winter collections so they'll offer huge discounts. I waited till Summer this year, and grabbed a brand new All Saints jacket for $160 as opposed to its usual $570 price tag. Not saying they'll all go down that cheap, but you'll definitely be able to find some killer deals if you have a little patience and snoop around a bit.
True that price will almost definitely dictate quality of craftsmanship and material but that's not a guarantee that it will dictate if the material is real or not. And it won't dictate whether the style is good for you. If the material is real and the fit is good then the only people who will be able to tell the difference in craftsmanship will be people who buy $500 jackets regularly. And im not about to let myself be judged by somone who shops like that. I agree that we should aim for the best quality we can find on our budget and if we are smart about it then we can find something of amazing quality at an amazing price. Especially if we are willing to shop used

I've currently got two, both bomber style. One is a black leather racer jacket (lamb leather), which I just got recently, and the other is a chocolate brown suede jacket (goat leather).
I managed to get both for 270 and 200 NZD, but they were also both end of season and had been moved to the shop brand's outlet store, so down from 500-600 NZD.
The next one I'm gonna look out for is a Shearling jacket, preferably in dark brown leather.

Nice video, I'm 23 and I just bough a collared front zip jacket and now I have to know how to wear it. I'm really excited because I bought it for only 30€ because it's arround 20 years old but this jacket cost 300€ but looks brand new, the previous owner told me he never really wear it because he bought it like a whim in a trip to Germany and it wasn't really his style and seeing it in real life I totally belive him it doesn't even have a scratch. Got my first real leather jacket this week. Its a clean brown sheep nappa jacket with two zippered chest pockets and zippered hand warmer pockets. What i like about it is the strap at the collar and the sleeves with a zippers to close it up in strong wind.

I have the Keanu jacket and chelsea boots in black matte finish and the fit is amazing. The price is a bit high but worth it because the jacket and boots are universal and have the ability to dress it up or down.

I agree that it wouldn't be wise to invest in more expensive items, while you're in the middle of a transformation, but you still want to dress well to celebrate your achievement.
I'd say while your size is still changing, thrift/pre-owned is a great way to get nice quality at crazy low prices. Armpit to armpit measurements are a must if buying online, so you can compare with existing items that fit well.
End of season sales in mid-range stores can get you some great deals too, but don't go overboard on items that won't fit you in a few months time. Fit is king.
I love my cafe racer style jacket in black, but it's kinda invisible. I get lots of compliments wearing brown leather or suede in the same style. They're more versatile than you'd think.
I'm nearly 50, and I think they'd look good at any age.

The biggest rule is not be overweight with a gut. You can get a great lambskin leather from angel jackets for 180 dollars. Bought a great retro car coat. Gained 10 lbs and now its to tight. Still looks good. You cant tell it fits tight. But its uncomfortable zipped and sitting. That one black jacket you wore looked to tight around your gut. And your thin.
