    Long story short:
She is a slow but skilled worker and her jackets have a slight downward curve when viewed from the side. Longer in the front and shorter in the back. Also you get a custom embroidered patch on inside. Everything else is standard jacket work.

People who complain about how much it is are missing the point. The old saying is so true: cynics know the price of everything and the value of nothing. She’s a craftsman. Pure and simple. Probably not the friendliest - who cares. Her intensity and the work it produces speak for itself. Could I afford one of her jackets? Not easily. But I don’t have to be able to own a piece of art to appreciate it - not only the piece itself but the skill and passion that authored it. I love that she cares deeply about her vocation.

An appreciation for hand crafted leather goods is hard to come by, most people would pass this off as crazy because they can get one cheaper. But you will never be able to make your own leather jacket of this quality on your own. No matter the price, if you can find people who appreciate your work and support it, that's a beautiful thing for everyone involved.

@Uni Spectra You don't multiply the retail cost of the product being made to come up with the profit she's making. Factor in rent on her studio, the cost of all those highly specialised machines, insurance, 30% to the tax man, the high cost of premium leathers, silks and high quality notions within the jacket etc etc etc. Not to mention the cost of any mistakes, a bookkeeper, the ten years it probably took her to learn how to actually craft & design like that, etc etc. I think you'd find she makes a reasonable income and works hard for it.

I got a news flash for you. ALL leather jackets are hand made. The off the shelf jackets in standard sizes are hand made but on a larger scale production basis. They are all made by skilled cutters and craftsmen/women who are specialists who make all the parts of the finished jacket. Take a look at the websites and You Tube videos for Aero Leather Clothing in Scotland and Schott in New York to see how their handmade production produces fantastic leather jackets in the $500 to $800 for most of their styles.
