I am so grateful to be back with ANOTHER IKEA furniture hack as our Part II Dining Room Makeover! If you've been here for a minute, you know we have been working on improving our main level which has brought about a series of DIY projects and my fave... DIY IKEA hacks. This IKEA hack was inspired by TikTok's famous industrial + grid mirror and was perfect for opening up our dining room and giving the illusion of depth.
Dining room wall decor can be tricky. Luckily, we have a bold kitchen and tons of natural lighting so instead of art wall decor, we decided to set our hearts on this DIY industrial mirror.
Did we make the right decision???
Do you have an empty wall or a closed off corner that could use the illusion of an industrial grid mirror to give it some depth? I LOVE this hack because it is so customizable.. you can build an industrial grid mirror as BIG or as petite as you'd like!

Hi i understand you took the width and length dimensions into account but what was the depth of the battens and the plywood sheet or does that not matter?
How do you trim the mirror tile if it doesn’t fit? I under measured. And every time I try to trim it the mirror breaks.
