Thank you! 🥰
But what are the slats made of?
For those who use furniture paint, you need a little extra room for the thickness of the paint on the slats, so include that when you measure for the spaces for individual mirrors.
Thank you for this tip in the comments! Love it! The slats themselves are linked in the description along with the rest of the materials I used, the Home Depot description describes is as “Woodgrain Millwork 1/4 in. x 1-1/2 in. WM 2661 Primed Finger-Jointed Lattice Moulding is one of the most common and versatile moulding patterns. Primed Finger-Jointed WM 2661 Lattice moulding can be used to cover seams in wall paneling. Lattice can be also be used in many craft projects”
❤️ I wana do this diy!!
You should try it!
Nice
Thank you!!
For the outer frame you have attached the trims on top of the plywood to create frame, did you cover the sides of the plywood with anything or did you just save and paint it, if so then doesn’t the plywood sheets show up from the sides
Oh this is such a good question! I did not end up covering the plywood on the sides and ultimately just spray painted it, to me it’s really not that noticeable but if you’re wanting a more finished look you can look into adding some Wood veneer strips!
How thick was your plywood? I know this was a while ago.
How did you cut the little wood pieces to go in between the mirrors?
I used a miter saw.
Do you just lean it against the wall or do you mount it?
We just leaned it against the wall!
Where did you buy the long slats? I need 96"
I got them at homedepot, but im sure lowes might have some as well
How tall does this mirror stand?
It’s about 7ft!
What kind of wood did you use for the slats?
We found them at Home Depot! They are the primed (white) slats, 7 ft long, 3/8 inch x 1 1/4 inch
@@DesignedbySmashley awesome! Thank you!
You are so welcome! Thanks for the support 🥰 good luck!!
how is it fastened to the wall?
We didn’t mount it to our wall, we have it leaning against it
Thank you for your reply and you did a great job on this mirror... it's beautiful.
