Hi! No glue, just the strips that followed in the packade. The moldings locks the mirrors to the wall. If you still feel that you need glue I would use the same as you use for the moldings. Good luck!
This came out extremely beautiful ❤️. To anyone who’s going to recreate, it’ll be a little less expensive to purchase the 6 pack mirrors from Lowe’s or Home Depot for 10.98 😊
@@xarianeee www.lowes.com/pd/Style-Selections-12-in-L-x-12-in-W-Square-Polished-Wall-Mirror/3730183 I did one with these and then another larger one out of dollar tree mirrors.
Great idea!!! I like this a lot. I’d like to recreate this but glue the mirror to cardboard or plywood. This way the wall doesn’t get messed up and to move it around the room when I get the urge to redecorate
Looks amazing, great idea :] on note: I think you didn’t show the end result long enough, you put so much work into it and the final result is only visible for a few seconds and we as viewers love that feeling of satisfaction of the final product. Good luck for the future :]
Great advise! When we edited we watched the clip like a hundred times and got afraid it would be to long. Now when we read all the comments we get the feeling of the opposite and wish we showed more details. Thank you for your kind words!
This is beautiful! You can also do this with mirrors that you give an antique look, by removing the grey back of the mirror with paint remover, praying acid on the back so there are see through splatters, and then painting the back black or maybe even gold! Have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands
For those on a tighter budget, the Dollar Tree carries black plastic framed mirrors that will give a very similar effect without the need for tools and all of this assembly. They could be held with Command Strips, which would save the wall from damage for those who rent or like to change up decor.
Looks so cozy especially with the view of the sunset. The mirror definitely opened up the space. The whole design of the room is gorgeous, the mirror is just the icing on the cake. Love it.
I think the best alternative is mdf and screw it to the wall, The mdf is very straight and stable. A thick piece of plywood may work aswell. You also need to ad some extra glue to the mirrors with the same glue as we used for the moldings. (otherwise there is a possibility that the mirrors may fall off after som time) Keep in mind if you go with this idea that this mirror is so big and you really need to support the weight. Setting it on the floor and then leaning against the wall is an option but may look a bit to homemade for some. Using a thin plywood may cause the result to maybe be a bit curved Good Luck!
I just subscribed!!! That is absolutely beautiful 😍😍! I do want 2 of these on my huge hallway wall! Thank u so much for sharing this genius idea and work!! I'm so in love with that mirror I can't even tell u how much lol! Great teamwork guys! Absolutely breath takingly beautiful 😍😍
I love this DIY! I have been after a mirror like this for ages, but for the size I need not only would it be really expensive but the mirror would be ridiculously heavy. I definitely think this will be something I'll be recreating! ❤
I like the concept. The only thing that I would have done differently would be to attach the mirrors and moulding to a sheet of plywood. Then attach that to the wall instead. It seems like it would be difficult to remove from drywall installed like this if you wanted to change the look.
For the molding did you use quarter round? (1 curved side with 2 equal flat sides). It looks like it. Can you confirm. Also did you glue one of the flat sides to the wall, so the curved side is facing down for the horizontal moldings? And vertical did you make the curve side facing the outward edge of the mirror? Would appreciate any details you can provide. Thank you.
Nice. And nice view from the mirror to a sunset! I would have loved to hear how long this took you to do and it appears you didn't add extra glue to the mirror pieces???
Thank you for saying that! About three days. We put up the mirrors the first day. The next day we did the the spraying, measured the pieces and finally cutting them. The day after we glued the horizonal moldings to the wall, measured the vertical and finally glued the rest up in the evening. It can be done in many 36-48 hours or so i guess. No we did not ad any extra glue on the back of the mirrors. Some people have been writing the the fall off the wall but we have no experience from that. I guess the walls plays a part here. And how good your surface is. I would say sheetrock with wallpaper is not as optimal as concrete with wall paint. Good luck!
I’m thinking I’m going to try this on some sort of backer board, that way if I change my mind or if I want to move the installation I can. Really cool!💙
PL200, a universal construction glue from Casco that works on all materials. The brand of the glue is less importent. Just make sure the glue is of construction grade and works for glass and you should be fine! Good luck! ☺️
Most strong adhesive is corrosive to mirror's back coating. The result of corrosion may appear after couple of years. PL200 or other common glues may not be a good choice. Usually will recommend using RTV silicone and mirro-mastic for mirror installation but may not be suitable for such supportless installation.
Youre a bit wrong there. Ive been using different PL glues for like 10 years both in work and private. PL200 is used at work by carpenters here in Sweden. About 5 years back i made a mirror with palletwood, a mirror and PL200. Still looks great and no sign of corrosion.
Planning on doing this project! But would use plywood as the base instead of directly to the wall. Wish me luck! Cleaning it must be a bit annoying though lol

Lovely results! Might want to consider putting something under the trim when spray painting so you don't ruin the athletics of the driveway.
also I recommend spray painting on your grass because the grass will grow out and no paint left on your concrete area
