I have something called a Multicooker. It sears, pressure cooks, steams, crockpots to 8 hours, and keeps warm. It is used almost daily, and I always cook in bulk. Brilliant.
I have a ninja foodi (the original version 6.5 quart lol) I absolutely love mine I use it multiple times a day 💖 ... thx Becky for all the great recipes
@@breestep9591we have multi cookers here in Australia, and they’re basically trying to replicate the Instant Pot, since that is not sold here. I decided after some research that I preferred to get an original. So I got an Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus. The insert doesn’t spin around and has handles, which is a massive improvement to the original design, but it’s not the fancier current version. It’s fantastic! Just like other multi cookers, it has a slow cooker mode but I stick to my slow cooker for that. The sear function is decent on my model. My friends who have other brands, even the cheap ones, say theirs are just as good and I agree because it’s the combo that’s great!
So glad you posted today. It's one of those days where I stay busy so I don't have to think about what day it is. Now that I have completely exhausted myself I can sit and enjoy this video 💚💚💚
I’m team little fork and little spoon, oh and I eat most things with chopsticks even Mac’n’cheese lol, oh and I got gochugaru powder from a beautiful store in a city close to me (I live in a small town in New Zealand 🇳🇿) and I love it, thank you for recommending it. Much aroha (love) to you and your family ❤
Hi Becky and everyone here. I read a lot of old cookbooks and have made a lot of recipes from them. This looks to me more like a fruit dumpling recipe than a cobbler. with cobbler I Think of Pie Crust or biscuits on top (as you mentioned, also called Pan Dowdy) Dumplings are this soft pancakey, Clafouti (the French version, also VERY easy and delicious). The latter tends to have ground nuts or nut pieces in it. Lots of fun. my mom had a crock pot but I've never used one. I like to minimize the number of 'machines' that I have and I can put a pot with a lid in a slow oven and do most of these things. Salutations to everyone here on the Homestead and in the worldwide community, Jim Mexico
Im dying to know how baby A is loving your cooking! I was watching every day when i was pregnant. My girl is now 7 months so i think about your little one when you're cooking and baking!
I use a crockpot that has a browning/meat searing function, then change over to crockpot simmering mode, so you can do all steps in same pot! A game changer for these kind of meals! ☺️
@@AcreHomestead mine insta pot does sear, however it took my 4 1/5lb roast cooking 6 hrs one day, then I refrigerated overnight and finished cooking another 4-5 hrs before it was fall apart tender for drip beef sandwiches. I wanted to do it day before to have the grease be easily removed the next day and just heat it up. Then I read that you have to cook on the highest temp for low/medium. So I switched it. I don't trust it to get it done for me. Please share if you try it and how it turned out.
Hello. 3weeks ago you made crockpot soup. You trimmed the leaves off your celery and put them to the side and only used the stalks. I prefer to use my leaves as well as they are packed with amazing flavor. I chop them and add to my dish. If you have not tried that, you may consider trying it.
Beck! Gurrl STAWP ET! I no lie gained 9 pounds since I began watching your vids and making 85% of your recipes! While faithfully working out 3-4x a week as I have for over 20 yrs. Everything is SO GOOD! The breads and Sweet and Sour Chicken are my all time favs. Hubz and I are gonna have to cut back on the cheeses, butter and breads since his cholesterol is through the roof already😩😩😩. I Will continue making your recipes tho, they are GOLD in my house.
That looks so yummy!! I’m team little for it. I have a little hands so but my husband has actually come around to my side and also eats with a little fork.
I love combining meal prep with crockpot meals. I prep everything, freeze it, then defrost it the night before and pop it in the crockpot. Saved me with 3 kids all doing after school activities. Loved having home cooked meals even though I was insanely busy!
southern version of peach cobbler - 9x13 - melt butter in the pyrex while over is pre-heating. Then 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar are stirred together and poured into the pyrex - Then a large can of sliced peaches - poured across the top of the batter - baked until golden brown. Def not a low-calorie dish but ranks high for tasty comfort food :D
Pot roast crock pot recipe-so good 3-4 lb chuck roast 2 med onions, quartered 2-3 stalks celery, chopped 4-5 sliced carrots Can of cream of mushroom soup PKG of onion soup mix Pkg of brown gravy mix 1 cup beef broth However many potatoes you want (3-4) chopped or diced Couple of tsp of worstershire, if you remember🙄 Screaming hot iron skillet with olive oil- Sear the onions and place in crock pot, add the carrots, potatoes and celery( my husband doesn't like celery so I leave it out- no worries-you do you) Mix the gravy and onion soup mix together and coat the roast I cut my roast up into thirds bc I have a round crockpot and the whole roast doesn't fit Then sear the roast on all sides Place in crockpot, add the cream of mushroom and cup of beef broth plus whats-her-face sauce Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8. When the meat is falling apart you'll know it's done. Great for leftovers, but it doesn't freeze well.
The peach cobbler recipe is nearly identical to the one I use for the oven. The difference is you pour sliced peaches and the juice over the batter and bake for 1 hour. We love it, so I'd be willing to try this in the Crock-Pot on the patio when it's too hot to be cooking in the house.
My crock pot is actually a deep fryer with a ceramic liner - had it for more than 40 years. I can set an actual temperature, not just High and Low options. I could set a temperature that could cook for about 10 hours. When I was a single parent I would put the meal in the pot in the porning before work and would have a meal ready when I got home. Homemade spaghettie sauce, chicken cacciatore, chilil, sauerbraten, por roast, Irish stew. It was all good.
I made a peach cobbler today using homegrown peaches and I guess I don't like peach cobbler, your cobbler looked delicious. I must agree with your Mom, fruit crisps are the best!
I love using a crockpot because I don't have to do anything with it. When I worked, supper was made and the house smelled great when I walked in the door.
I love my crock pot I use it at least once a week .. beef and broccoli, Korean short ribs, goulash, cream of mushroom chicken breast, chicken or carnitas tacos and my favourite corned beef. Most things do taste better when you brown them first but cooking things low and slow 10/10 every time.
Have you tried ravioli 'lasagna?' Brown hamburger and mix it into spaghetti sauce. Layer frozen ravioli (we like 4 cheese spinach ravioli), meat and sauce, and shredded mozzarella twice (two layers of each.) Cook on low in crockpot for 6 hours.
You are so adorable! I am team big fork and big spoon! 😂😂😂 My favorite part of these videos is after you taste something really yummy, your eyes open super wide. So cute! Thank you so much for these inspiring videos! ❤️
I just made your Salsa Verde recipe. I thought I ruined it with too much lemon juice but then I realized I forgot the cumin. Once I added that it was delish. Can't wait to use it this winter over some enchiladas or what not.
Crock pots are great at for when I’m processing the garden harvest all day long and I just do not have either the physical or mental strength left to cook dinner. Last night was a pork loin recipe with apples & caramelized onions but time was tight and my fresh onion supply low so it got a half pint of apple jelly and dehydrated onions from my pantry and a beef roast. So very tender and appreciated by my husband and his 84 y/o mom who lives with us. I did bake potatoes and fry okra to go with it. Thanks for these ideas! ❤
Becky.. i'm a diabetic. I could sit down and eat that whole pot of peach cobbler. You made me hungry as always. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas. Lots of love ❤❤❤❤❤
This woman is incredible. I didn’t think there was that many hours in the day what she accomplish is is just absolutely phenomenal. I’m definitely gonna learn from her. Wow it’s really something and it’s still delightful because the information so well researched and and try it out. just everything has done for you, so if you don’t want to find an excuse to not do something here you are and the dishes are incredibly delicious. She shows you everything she does and tells you everything that she doesn’t and shows out to you also I can’t think of one thing that she’s missed and I’ve only watched, one of these videos and I’m just I’m astonished I’m stunned. I’m amazed in the most great way the only thing I haven’t seen and who knows I don’t know she just does everything in every video, but the only thing I noticed was that she didn’t sometimes double or triple up the recipe and at the same time do you know if she’s doing the one then she’s just got more casserole dishes out there in and she just keeps duplicating it for that amount And pours everything. It’s totally like fridge recipe individual recipe she just pours it out into a 9 x 13‘s or whatever you know size bacon dishes she wants to use. Anna cover some up and how she does with the foil and put some in the oven to bake cook whatever it is And when she takes them out I’m just surprised that she doesn’t have you know the three identical ones one for dinner that night one for you no dinner another night and one to give us a gift or somebody said a new baby and they need a respite. It’s just this is amazing. She is amazing astonishing I Telya I’m gonna start cooking this way because it just seems like more fun and a girl always want to have fun.‼️
Becky, these were really good recipes. I need these so much. I’m not able to be in the kitchen near as much as I’d like to be and I love these ideas. I’m going to make them all. Thank you so much 😊
Cobblers are great. Peach or blueberry or apple...use reg box of yellow cake mix put on bottom of pan then fruit topping then cake mix stirred in fruit then on top...bake like cake in oven..yummy.
have only ever cooked with a 1.5 Qt slow cooker (thank you Sears Kenmore - 25 yrs on and it’s still going strong) incredible for just me - should it ever give up the ghost - will definitely look into an instant pot - for the time being I modify recipes and deal with folks in meat dept not believing how small my slow cooker is 🤣😂 thnx for more incredible meal ideas 🇨🇦🙏
I made a peach blackberry cobbler last week. It was phenomenal! I had local blackberries so it really took it up a notch. I didn't use cinnamon though because I didn't want to detract from the fruit flavor.
Becky, thank you so much for your Real Life Cooking Show! My 7 kiddos and I food prep every week for our family of 10 (my mom also lives with us). Your freezer meal videos are so inspirational, as are these new instant pot and crock pot meals. We unfortunately are in the middle of hurricane season down here in New Orleans and so we don’t stock the freezer with meals anymore (I lost 2 refrigerators and an upright freezer in 2021’s Ida 😩) Watching you go through that process yourself brought back all the same feelings. I was praying for you because I get it! Again, thank you. You’re inspiring me and also a whole new generation to think differently about food from garden to table. Blessings!
It is true: viewing Becky inspired me to do oatmeal in my baby Crock Pot after work yesterday! I just need to add walnuts or almonds to it now! Maybe granila for crunch when I serve it. Brava!
I appreciate your crock pot series. I've used my crock pot a lot over the years so many ways. I use to use to make apple sauce to can. Then I learned how slick the microwave does it. Not everyone has instapots air fryers etc and they haven't stood the test of time yet. Sometimes the pot can be set up the day before to pop it in the next morning when you're on the go! Thank you for the crockpot series. 💚😎
Really like watching and reading crockpot recipes. So many sound so good. One thing bothers me though. So many shred the protein and mix everything so it doesn’t look as appetizing. I think the chicken and rice dish might look good served with rice on the bottom, then yummy sauce (lots), cheese and chicken on top. With sliced green onions too! Or something. All your recipes looked terrific. Even the crispy bits of cobbler made me envious! Take care.
Hi Becky....my daughter and i live in different states in Australia.....you are our joint passion! Love all you do! Our inspiration! 😎👋 from down under
16:26 Lol. I actually keep a jar full of cocktail size silverware, so I guess I’m team really little knife, fork AND spoon. 😉 I am loving that big wooden ladle! It looks like it should be dishing up some peanut soup or other African soup over an outdoor cooking fire. 39:33 When I was a kid, “cobbler” was frozen, canned, or fresh fruit on the bottom of a Dutch oven topped with a prepared boxed white or yellow cake mix, then baked in the oven. It was easy, and everybody loved it. Lol Couple of random things: Rare Seeds just posted a pumpkin leaf recipe. (I had no idea they were considered a food source.) Didn’t you can some baked beans a while ago? How did you like them? I saw a video today where someone used their overgrown summer squash to make mock pineapple rings and then grilled them. 😯
I like to use the slow cooker liners work wonders for easy clean up. I use my slow cooker on sunday, put it together and come home from church and dinner is ready and toss the liner makes for a easy day - also if you do potlucks and you have those liners all you have to do is toss the liner and go home with a clean pot. When my kids were little the slow cooker was great for when we had extra activies - nice to come home and dinner is already ready. A few of those recipes I have already tried and are saved in my cookbook. You rock young lady.
I love watching your videos but they are so quiet. Does anyone else notice that? I always have to turn your videos up and then when the adds pop up it's almost deafening. Your voice overs are usually a good level though.
I got a new camera and mic and I think that might be the issue.... I have been working on that with josh. I just changed the mic cover two days ago so hopefully that helps with upcoming videos. Thanks for the feedback - becky
@@geraldineconway1865 sadly not every knows that. A lot of younger generations weren’t taught table setting edict just like there aren’t taught to write in cursive.
I constantly use my crockpot. Just toss in whatever meat and flavors you like and BAM you have dinner when you get home from work. However I have never tried doing the pasta in the crockpot. I’ve always made the pasta on the side. You convinced me to try something new. My husband doesn’t like soup, so I always use minimal liquid and then serve whatever I make over pasta or rice. Love my crockpot!
I love your recipes. Wholesome unprocessed ingredients, uncomplicated instructions, easy enough for beginner cooks. Plus your presentation is straightforward and matter-of-fact, without any hyperactive chatter-but you’re very engaging. Fun to watch. Subscribing.

Hello Becky from our farm in Central ⛵ Lakes Region New Hampshire. So glad to see some crock pot recipes. My Instant Pot is still waiting for me to make some recipes. We take advantage of appliances like crock pots and a bread machine, but in the winter we also have a vintage kitchen wood stove. She is always "on", to put a pot of soup to simmer on the back, especially if we lose power in a storm. That hamburger soup looks amazing! I look forward to following your channel ~ Diane
Becky you are amazing, I plan on trying these crock pot recipes for my family especially with the warm weather, I don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen , I want to play outside and these one pot meals are perfect , please make more recipes in the crock pot, thanks for inspiring me .❤️
My oven broke recently and it took a bit to get it all sorted out. I had my crockpot and instant pot so we were pretty well fed. It's nice to have options to accommodate life.
Glad you try crockpot. Some of us don't have ovens, so we are always trying to find recipes which can be made using the pot. Also, people who are working all day come home and just want to have a family meal ready to eat.
I giggle at how surprised you look when something tastes great. I would think that was a daily occurrence in your house. love your channel.

Mine is Ninja also the original, love it
So glad you posted today.
One of the joys of the crock pot is that you can turn it on and leave the house. Can't do that with the oven. Convenience is all.
That would be really nice!
I use a Ninja and love it.@@AcreHomestead
I was just getting ready to add that comment. We know how much Becky loves one pot cooking. Instant pot actually has a crockpot as does Ninja
Crockpot chicken with salsa Verde & a cube of cream cheese all cooked together served over Spanish rice. So yummy!
Slow cooker recipes are the best!
Cheese biscuits with cheesy soup sounds like exactly the thing to hit the spot.
Ohhh just in time for my drive home. Love listening to Becky!!!! ❤
Aw you are so nice! I hope you have a safe drive home :)
Everything look delicious. Really love the wooden ladle.
I'm hungry now but it's 1.36 am in Ireland! I've managed to grow some lettuce, spring onions, radishes, lavender and tomatoes Becky, thanks to you ❤
I have the same problem I live in Scotland.
Pot roast crock pot recipe-so good
3-4 lb chuck roast
2 med onions, quartered
2-3 stalks celery, chopped
4-5 sliced carrots
Can of cream of mushroom soup
PKG of onion soup mix
Pkg of brown gravy mix
1 cup beef broth
However many potatoes you want (3-4) chopped or diced
Couple of tsp of worstershire, if you remember🙄
Screaming hot iron skillet with olive oil-
Sear the onions and place in crock pot, add the carrots, potatoes and celery( my husband doesn't like celery so I leave it out- no worries-you do you)
Mix the gravy and onion soup mix together and coat the roast
I cut my roast up into thirds bc I have a round crockpot and the whole roast doesn't fit
Then sear the roast on all sides
Place in crockpot, add the cream of mushroom and cup of beef broth plus whats-her-face sauce
Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8.
Hi Becky. I just had a chance to look at the Scratch Pantry. Josh did a great job on the website!
Team little spoon, Little fork. These recipes all look good. I will have to put a few on my menu!
Peach cobbler in a cast iron skillet! Absolute perfection!!
I love crockpot meals!! They're so easy to put together ❤ Thank you for all these new ideas for dinners!! 😊
You are so welcome!
Becky.. i'm a diabetic. I could sit down and eat that whole pot of peach cobbler. You made me hungry as always. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas. Lots of love ❤❤❤❤❤
My mom made peach cobbler with a similar recipe but she baked it in the oven. The caramelized edges are the best!
Thank you so much 😊
Glad you like them!
Cobblers are great. Peach or blueberry or apple...use reg box of yellow cake mix put on bottom of pan then fruit topping then cake mix stirred in fruit then on top...bake like cake in oven..yummy.
I’m a big fork teaspoon person and those first 2 CP meals look insanely delicious I will be making and saving those. Yum
Little fork. The southwest chicken looks amazing. Gonna try.
Thanks Becky I really enjoy watching make such delicious comfort recipes I can't wait to try them .❤
have only ever cooked with a 1.5 Qt slow cooker (thank you Sears Kenmore - 25 yrs on and it’s still going strong) incredible for just me - should it ever give up the ghost - will definitely look into an instant pot - for the time being I modify recipes and deal with folks in meat dept not believing how small my slow cooker is 🤣😂 thnx for more incredible meal ideas 🇨🇦🙏
I made a peach blackberry cobbler last week. It was phenomenal! I had local blackberries so it really took it up a notch. I didn't use cinnamon though because I didn't want to detract from the fruit flavor.
I made a peach mulberry pie (no cinnamon) and it was amazing!
Blessings!
Oh my goodness!!! This recipe sounds SO good!!!!
It's so good!
It is true: viewing Becky inspired me to do oatmeal in my baby Crock Pot after work yesterday! I just need to add walnuts or almonds to it now! Maybe granila for crunch when I serve it. Brava!
Crockpot dinners are my go-to for summertime! Using my stove or oven just makes my AC work way too hard!!
Souther Living has a peach cobbler cooked in a cast iron skillet on the grill. Yummy yum yum, try it!
I made a large batch of green beans in my crockpot for a church potluck. Cooked them all night & they were delicious 😋
Take care.
i loathe the shredded chicken strings on so many cooking videos!
Little fork....I can't remember last time I used a crock pot. Peach cobbler is my favorite. Thanks for sharing.
Yes I love when Becky cooks her facial expressions are the best 😊
Hi Becky....my daughter and i live in different states in Australia.....you are our joint passion! Love all you do! Our inspiration! 😎👋 from down under
That is awesome!
Chives would be yummy on top.😋
I think so too!
Just a little thing but I love when you greet us as friends. 😊
As a Mom of two toddlers and a crawling baby, the crockpot life is where it’s at. I never have to worry about kids touching a hot oven.
17:40 we loved the Cajun Alfredo thank you for the inspiration
16:26 Lol. I actually keep a jar full of cocktail size silverware, so I guess I’m team really little knife, fork AND spoon. 😉
I am loving that big wooden ladle!
Lol
Couple of random things:
Rare Seeds just posted a pumpkin leaf recipe. (I had no idea they were considered a food source.)
Didn’t you can some baked beans a while ago? How did you like them?
I saw a video today where someone used their overgrown summer squash to make mock pineapple rings and then grilled them. 😯
That looks so good!!!
Becky, can you try 5 dairy free crock pot recipes next time?
Same here
My family called this 111 (one eleven ) cobbler. We always cooked it in the oven rather than the crock pot. My favorite is made with canned pears.
Call me old fashioned but…big is dinner fork, small is dessert fork. Recipes look delicious!
Becky, I'm enjoying your experimentation with the different kitchen appliances. I need to follow your lead!
Little fork is your SALAD fork Big fork is your DINNER fork. Little spoon is for stirring your coffee and dessert. Big spoon is for soups.
I think everyone knows that. It’s just what’s your preference.
Gurl wash rice😮
I love your recipes. Wholesome unprocessed ingredients, uncomplicated instructions, easy enough for beginner cooks. Plus your presentation is straightforward and matter-of-fact, without any hyperactive chatter-but you’re very engaging. Fun to watch. Subscribing.
Heart disease is real and these recipes promote obesity, high cholesterol and hypertension.
I wouldn’t, but it is kind to educate people that might not know that. I am a Nutritionist. @@cajbaf
@@AussieTracyoh, have you not been watching her videos? (Your usual response to someone). If you had, you would know that becky makes dishes to have for leftovers the rest of the week, for lunch or dinner. 😉
Yes! Finally sitting down for a break.
Hello Becky from our farm in Central ⛵ Lakes Region New Hampshire. So glad to see some crock pot recipes. My Instant Pot is still waiting for me to make some recipes. We take advantage of appliances like crock pots and
a bread machine, but in the winter we also have a vintage kitchen wood stove.
I absolutely agree with you about browning the meat and even sautéing the vegetables before adding to the crockpot.
Oh Becky!!!! I am on my way to Make the Hamburger Soup! Hugs to all! You are the Best dear Friend!
Quite inspired by your Southwest Chicken and Rice. My garden has been generous despite the record drought. My husband loved it!
Glad you try crockpot. Some of us don't have ovens, so we are always trying to find recipes which can be made using the pot. Also, people who are working all day come home and just want to have a family meal ready to eat.
little fork, little spoon; love the recipes, thanks!
