Hi Everyone! Despite my struggles taking down the tent, I still highly recommend it. I was flustered from the impending storm. Since then, I've found a great and easy way to take it down, which I'll share the next time I use it in a video!
I love pop up tents for the ease of setup. I wish they could make them that isn't a big circle when cased because I have to bury it under everything to store it in my vehicle.
Congrats on testing yourself, you were successful! Once you get the hang of starting a fire, you'll be a pro in no time. Newspaper is a great fire starter. Crumple up 2-3 pages into lose balls and teepee your kindling on top.
You are doing great Claire. Nobody starts out knowing everything. But you are improving and learning new skills. That meal looked delicious. Thank you for another great video.
👍😊Just came across your channel 👍 it's great to want to learn lots. And master several ways of cooking, as often places might have a fire ban. But there are so many options, and you don't have to buy all of the fancy stuff some channels tell you. At over 70 years of age, I can say sometimes, old ways just might be best. Even if alot of younger people are, anti old ways. 😂 And feel that elders, know nothing, but if, hard times happen, some will know how to survive. So not knowing you, I must say, "you go girl!" 👍 Don't be afraid to change things up, until, they are a fit, for you! And your dinner looked fabulous and tasty. I look forward to more videos.
Hi Claire and Parker, you did awesome on the campfire 🔥 and that dinner looked amazing, I'm gonna have to try it sometime. Parker was so excited to be out there, he is definitely a wolf at heart 😂 It is good to learn these skills ya never know they may come in handy one day. Another awesome video Claire I am super excited for your big trip, take care my friends ❤ y'all
Thank you Claire and Parker! I thoroughly enjoyed this video and appreciate your content. The meal looked delicious. I feel lucky to have found this channel! We love the mini-rants 😊.
Wow Claire great video! I have been sooo proud of you with everything you do! 👏 And you just keep learning more things! Your food looked awesome and over the campfire 👏 Parker sure does love your adventures ❤ That popup screen tent is cool too. Love the video ❤
Always great to have plan B , and sometimes C , it's good planning. I'm actually sleeping in the woods in my truck cap with my dog as I watch your video. Glad your meal came out so good, you did an excellent job. You work with what you have for time and work and you do what you can with the time you have. I do a lot of outdoors cooking and fire starting tips that might help. Hope you have an awesome weekend my friend
Nice video Claire. I keep meaning to cook a meal like that in aluminum foil over the coals, but the stars never line up. Speaking of stars I like your pillow case. If you don't have a Benz-O-Matic torch and a green coleman propane bottle I highly recommend them for lighting a fire. It works great when wood is a little wet and needs lots of help. The torch cost about $15 and you can get them in the camping section at Walmart.
Hi my friend Claire 👋 your videos are so relaxing.. you are such a calming person. Sometimes when I need to relax because when I'm stressed out how about stuff I go back and I watch some of your videos again because the nature just kind of calms me down and you walking around with your dog 🐕 is just wholesome good entertainment thank you for making such good videos you always do a great job my friend😊😊😊
Hi, dead twigs, shredded up Birch bark..dead little branches still on tree can be used for fire in the rain..not that you would..you got gumption..big trip sounds exciting ..Thank you very much
I'm at Walmart in Oregon just now...I've traveled from NH to here,, ninth month, finding dispersed camping off of major interstates is really a pain..I often have a place I want to exp, and with heat domes, and BLM bring always away I usually hit truck stops, Walmarts..like now in a week- ish I'm headed to Yellowstone..I'm not driving 39-60 miles out of my way to sleep .no way....is that parchment paper inside the foil ? I never thought of that..one howl is just an owl , coyotes hunt at night in packs when the hunt at night several howl a lot..they are harmless..the can smell you before you see them..food looks great .
@@ClairenParkerontheRoad porcupines make shrieking noise at night also. I know strange,..they are not across entries USA. My opinion is. Most dangerous wild thing out there is " brown recluse " spider. They emit flesh eating bacteria ...hard to find and not real common..sleeping in a vehicle you'll prolly never encounter one. .thank you for replying .I'm in" social deprivation" last few weeks..well,,,, maybe years 🙂
