Something to note, Chilli and Bandit are much older than what parents typically are when they have kids. Bandit is in his early 40’s, and I feel like Chilli is probably at least in her mid-30’s. They could’ve just accumulated a lot of wealth, downsized for a while, and saved up enough to buy their dream family home to raise a couple of kids.

In Australia thats actually pretty normal ages to have kids that are bluey and bingo’s ages🤷‍♀️ like if you have a kid at 25 that’s relatively early for someone here. Like my parents had me in their twenties but most of my friends parents their parents were in their like 40’s when I was ten while my parents were in their 30’s so they were relatively young when they had my sister and I.

I actually find the last theory compelling. Not necessarily under the thing that Bandit and Chili would've separated, but that Bandit could've been away for 1.5-2 years before Chili got pregnant with Bingo. It could easily explain the Heeler's wealth if Bandit was working for that long on a distant job AND could tie in the Archaeology short as well. He goes home, Chili gets pregnant, Bluey's a toddler so Bandit needs to help out at home a lot more, so on and so forth.
then it just slips his mind often that he needs to fix the address on his license until that episode.

Bandit is a Universerty Professor (of Archaeology) and is quite senior in his department, Chilli is a Supervisor at the airport.
the Healer Home has bean in Bandits family for generations.
I'm from Brisbane and I know the RW neighborhood they live in, throw the 70's and most of the 80's it was quite affordable, housing prices dropped off in the area in the very tail end of the 80's and most of the 90's, prices started to rise again in the late 90's and first half of the '00's when prices went through the roof.
Bandit could have brought out his parents when they retired just before the price rise, if Bandit & Chilli do sell up they they will make a packet.

On the license thing hear in Queensland if you have to change your residential address for a length of time, like you are working away (they change it a bit but its normally 12 months or longer) you have to amend your license, that is get a new physical one ($75) or an official amendment sticker for $30-$40. so If Bandit had to go away for about a year for an important dig?

    • @glenmcinnes4824
      @glenmcinnes4824 ปีที่แล้ว +6

An other thing on the Healer family finances, with two good incomes the family is comfortable, firmly in the Middle Class. but given the valuation on the House and Land the Rates (local Property Tax) and (State) land Tax will be a bit high, nothing they can't afford, but every now and then the Parents may have to skip "Date Night" or the kids may miss out for the flavor of the month big ticket Toy
So when they do the "You can't have every bit if Stuff you want" episode it's not because the family is living beyond their means, it's just because they had a big Bill due that month.

iirc I think it was confirmed by the creators that both Chili and her sister had troubles conceiving and that she did in fact have a miscarriage before bluey. its why Chili's sister has an attachment to Bluey as she was the "hope" that she could have a child one day as well. But that hope turned into despair after Bingo was born as she hadn't had a child yet at all.

I just think it'd be a good episode concept with the two trying to avoid the subject in front of the kids with maybe Rad wanting to talk about it, and him later confronting his little brothers if it's really the kids who they don't want to see Grandpa Bob, or them.

Stripe and Trix have a BIG house with their own in-ground pool. Bandits parents have a pretty good apartment with good views as well. I think its pretty clear the family has a good amount of money on their own, without any crime needing to be involved.
and FINALLY someone who has the same thoughts about the Bandit meeting Brandy theory. Its SO obvious that this interaction ment NOTHING to Chilli, she has no reason to remember it at ALL. Bandit and Rad both have pretty labor heavy jobs, an archeologist who goes on digs and a worker on an oil rig, but Stripe strikes me as the sibling who went for the sort of different career path. His house, both the outside appearance and the inside paintings, just reminds me of modern paintings and sculptures as well. Stripe is mentioned to be in Barley in the Pool episode, maybe he was on vacation with his family and their plentiful wealth, or maybe he was a some sort of tour for his work. I think this theory explains a lot.

I'm pretty sure the gluten theory has been disproven. in the episode "grandad" bluey is seen eating out of the lunchbox that Bandit says is gluten free. instead there's another theory that the reason bluey has the gluten free lunch box is because Indy has some sort of gluten intolerance due to the fact that in the episode "markets" Indy can't eat gluten. however I also doubt this theory because Indy also can't eat sugar and dairy so I'm guessing her mom only allows her to eat more natural stuff as Indy's mom is very clearly a hippie or something.

    • @unknown_limes
      @unknown_limes ปีที่แล้ว +18

I like this better than Bingo having a gluten allergy, except I think Indy's deal is a mix of an intolerance and her mom wanting a natural diet. It doesn't make sense for Bluey to need a non-gluten lunchbox if she's not bringing it into a classroom with an intolerance, like most schools are accommodating for certain diets, but not usually to the point of restricting other children's food choices if there isn't a health reason for doing so.

  • @Jundigon1992
    @Jundigon1992 ปีที่แล้ว +74

I'm pretty in agreement with your positions on these theories. To the one about Grandpa Bob, while I haven't been able to find some easy evidence to prove this, I've seen people who are from Australia make the claim that the reason for Bob not being included in more episodes after "Grannies" was due to the health of his voice actor, writer Ian McFadyen. Again, there isn't any globally-available sources that state this, but maybe more local sources did. In any case, I could personally see it as making sense, because of COVID concerns, and the man's getting on in years. Regardless if that's the reason or not, you're correct that Joe Brumm did confirm that Bob isn't dead, and he had offered the out-of-character reason for Chilli's dad Mort being in all of the grandad-centric episodes so far was because he wanted to show Chilli's side of the family more since we hadn't seen any of her relatives up to that point. And Joe has also stated that Bob is supposed to be in Season 3 as "proof of life." If that's the case, then that has to mean that Bob is going to be in one of the last episodes of Season 3 since "Fairytale" wouldn't count as it was a flashback episode.
I'm also all-in on the Wendy is divorced theory. I'm pretty convinced it is the case, because we've just never seen Judo's dad in a single shot of the show, or even heard him mentioned, unless you take Judo mentioning a "Casper" in the episode "Butterflies" as her parroting someone and Casper is the name of her dad. This might be a little wild, but personally, I actually really like the idea that Casper isn't the name of the dad, it's the name of a younger brother--a child from the dad, and a new wife. And my reasoning for this is that if we take Judo's conversation while playing Phones as her trying to mimic someone (and little kids do indeed very often mimic adults they know in real life when they're trying to do something adults do), then I feel like with what we've seen from Wendy thoughout the current run of the show, I don't really believe that Judo was mimicking her. If Wendy was still married and had a good relationship with her husband, then we should have seen or heard of the husband more. But if the dad had remarried, then Judo could be mimicking the new wife, whom she'd know whenever she went to stay at her dad's, and Judo acting rather cheerful when she's saying that she was getting cream buns for Casper would make more sense.
Now, given this, this could still very well mean that the new wife was just doting on Judo's dad, and so Casper is indeed his name. But I'd like to posit that it's the name of a kid that they've had together, because it would help further explain why Judo was so impatient and hostile with Bingo in "Butterflies." Like, even without this theory, Judo should still be given the understanding that she's likely an only child, and Bluey herself is empathetic towards her when she says that Judo has no one to play with. She needed to learn how to develop her empathy skills better like literally any other kid, and she didn't have a lot of friends or a sibling to help her develop that skill faster like Bluey did because she has Bingo. But, if Judo only recently got a younger sibling, then not only would she only now be getting exposed to the concept of having a sibling, but then the younger sibling would possibly be driving all of the parents' attention to them. So Judo would feel ignored and even more lonely than she usually does because she doesn't have any friends except Bluey, and that would give additional context to her lines in Butterflies of "Little kids take so long to do everything!" or her telling Bingo that she's too small. She needed to also develop her patience, and having a younger sibling that needs to be looked after a lot more closely would be something new to her and she doesn't understand.

The archaeology short supports the idea that we've got a Planet of the Dogs situation where human selected four legged breeds evolved into dogs that walk upright and speak and have replaced humans and created their own version of human society. I do think it's possible that bandit spent some time not living at the Heeler family home, but I think it's very possible that he may have moved for work.
I'll preface by saying my theory is relying on Archeology being canon; In Archeology, Bandit is referred to as "Dr. Heeler", meaning that he's gotten a doctorate degree. I think that he had to spend time away from his family and house in Brisbane because he was doing a longer-term research programme as part of his degree, and was living full-time at a different address.

my personal bluey theory is that something more severe happened in mackenzie’s life than “space” lets on. the symbolism of the black hole specifically makes me think someone died or is dying, being a point where nobody knows what’s beyond it, yknow, like death. my first thought was that his mother died, but then the finale refuted that. it has to be more than just a memory of being turned around and confused one time, there’s gotta be more there, everything in the episode is yelling at me to find a deeper meaning there.

Additional point of evidence people use for the miscarriage theory: early promotional images of Bluey showed the whole family, but Chilli with a very noticeable pregnant belly. People interpret this to mean that she was meant to be pregnant and have a third baby in the early drafts of the show before it changed and some point, and others use the idea to suggest that Chilli miscarried at some point either before Bluey or after Bingo.

Might be that he’s a better grandfather than father and so is closer with the girls but maybe family get-togethers at Bandit’s house isn’t something both of these men want to deal with? Just an idea pulled from my own life I can relate to.

I like that they keep it vague because then kids can decide for themselves if they want to believe for some reason that bluey or bingo can't have gluten. I think for the first theory, they might've also had inheritance money as well? Correct me if I'm wrong but afaik Chili's mom is implied to have passed, so that might've helped them afford the house. Also, Bandit's side of the family seems pretty wealthy, Stripe and Trixie have a *massive* house, complete with in-ground pool, and their parents have a very nice apartment. I'm not sure about Rad but he was able to afford a nice holiday with Frisky so I'd assume he's fairly rich too. And Bandit might've been working away for longer stretches of time but had to come home to help raise Bluey and Bingo, like another commenter said, which also ties in to the last theory too.

OK, the theory that Bandit isn't paid very much because he does *less* fieldwork is hilarious. In archaeology (as least in the UK) the fieldworkers are generally paid the least, and more likely to have to move around for work. Bandit always seemed to me more of an academic archaeologist attached to a university (we mostly see him working from home). Makes sense about the rare field trip he was probably able to secure funding for.

Whit him decreaseing the amount he worked around when bingo was born as he wanted to commit more time too them. This would explain why it took a while as he probably kept setting it back as he made the decision around dingos birth.

I'm in paleontology and most of the top paleontologists I know don't do a lot of field work, they write papers and often teach. So if Bandit is the head researcher he's probably .making some decent bucks. The executive director of the museum I volunteer at is pretty well of for the area and he runs a non profit but a large museum or university head properly would ever do a lot of field work and get paid quite a bit.
At !east that's my experience with paleontology, I don't do a lot of archeology so I can't say if it's the same.

As someone who can't eat gluten, whenever I adopt a child, *no* gluten is coming into the house. Both for my own safety the child's possible safety, since I won't be able to tell if they'd have celiac like me or not until I can get them tested or something.
But if one of the kids really weren't able to safely eat gluten, I'd be surprised that the parents keep gluten in the house. It's really easy to cross contaminate things and they seem like cautious parents, so I'd expect them to just be like "only **gluten free** bread/cakes/pastries/ect are allowed in here from now on."
I mean the idea of my disease being represented and possibly informing others about it is nice, but I don't think either of the kids have celiac disease or anything like that.
Maybe they were just playing around with gluten free stuff as some kind of food experiment?
...Why am I putting so much thought into a theory of a cartoon character's possible eating restrictions?

  • @andocoolxd5158

    Ooo
    Genious idea! And amazing video!
    I personally fully believe
    A) Chilli had a miscarriage and Bluey is a rainbow baby.
    And
    B) Chilli and Bandit did met at the caravan park; yet Chilli forgot about the incident as it was irrelevant to her.
On the other hand, Bandit took the event as personally crucial (since she broke his spell), making it important to him only... And they'd end up meeting again on the notorious London party [as a plus, I personally believe at a point of the conversation he brought up the question "Say, haven't we met before"
Another point to debunk the theory is the age gap, as seen in Chilli's family portrait (shown in Promises and Obstacle Course), Brandy has a 2 or 3 year gap with her sister... Meaning in Fairytale, if Chilli was 9-10, she'd be around 12-13... Doubtful
As for the Bingo having a gluten allergy... I believe on it, partially
By some evidence, the Daddy Dropoff's lunchbox that contained the gluten-free bar actually belongs to Bluey (as she is seen eating from it in the episode Grandad).
That would bring up an alternative thought, Bluey isn't allergic at all as we've seen her consume stuff that notably contain gluten... So why, would they incorporate the measure? Well, I believe this is a protocol act Calypso uses for the sake of a friend of hers who suffers the allergy: INDY
As for Bingo, I believe she still has possibilities for having this condition; but considering her quick recovery and respiratory symptoms... She'd be diagnosed not celiac, but with a gluten intolerance (wheat allergy); which would make her be allowed to eat gluten but only on minuscule doses.
As an ending thought, my personal rankings for how likely they are:
Bandit and Chilli are international smugglers: 1/5 (Interesting but HUGELY unlikely)
Chilli had a miscarriage: 5/5 (I FULLY BELIEVE ON THIS THEORY)
Bingo has a gluten intolerance: 4/5 (Likely, but on a different scale)
Grandpa Bob is dead: 0/5 (Officially debunked)
Bandit met Brandy instead of Chilli on the caravan park: 1.5/5 (VERY UNLIKELY)
Judo's parents are divorced: 4.5/10 (Hugely likely)
Bandit and Chilli were separated at a very early stage of the series: 1/5 (Exceedingly unlikely)
    Bonus:
The show takes place at a post-apocalyptic future: -1/10 (IMPOSSIBLE)
    Amazing video, mate!

That being said, I do know two people with Celiac who were hospitalized for other things and happened to discover they had silent Celiac during all the hospital testing. With one meal being gluten free, I am sure one of them does have Celiac, an allergy, or an intolerance, but the hospitalization isn't great evidence

Here’s a theory: bluey is a secret spin off of Rick and morty. The theory would be after the events of the Rick and morty episode lawnmower dog, when snuffles and many dogs went to live on they different planet, they slowly evolved to adopt human like traits that don’t require the machines snuffles used. Yes i know in a short video it shows bandit in a meeting with several archeologists where he shows a bone from the first cave dog to walk upright but remember snuffles and the others used the robot suits and speakers to communicate so I like to theorize that the intelligence helmets evolved their minds so much they reached a point where they didn’t need the mech suits and began evolving from cave dogs to the dog people we see in bluey. And oddly rick and morty predicted this would happen with morty wondering what the dog world will be like and rick claims he thinks it will be great and be developed into a very satisfying project for people of all ages. And with the impact bluey has had, Ricks predictions seem to have come true. All we would really need to confirm it is a reference from the other show where maybe in bluey, the heeler family are walking along and they pass a poster that looks like snuffles, or in Rick and morty when the duo are hoping through dimensions the pass by the bluey universe. Similar to how the objects from gravity falls ended up in a dimension Rick and morty were passing through.

One time at 3 am, I randomly came up with the theory that Bluey was an actual pet dog and she was imagining her owners (parents) as dogs. Also because we don't really see any adult characters that aren't parents. And the oldest kid we see is 12, so what if all the kids are supposed to represent dogs, and we only see dogs under 12 because dogs don't live much longer than 12.
So basically Bluey is an actual dog and is imagining all the humans as just grown up dogs.

Bluey being a rainbow baby is more of a reality than it is a theory and it's all contained in "The Show" episode. 1) Bandit immediately holding Chili's hand for comfort when the balloon pops, 2) Bingo ("Chili") getting depressed and somehow feels at fault/responsible for the miscarriage, 3) Bluey observing "aww there are no blue balloons left" meaning, the miscarried child was a boy (referencing the traditional representation of blue balloons for a boy and pink balloons for a girl) and the fact that Chili then had two girls (Bluey and Bingo) and finally 4) Bingo yadda yadda-ing while Bingo/"Chili" and Bandit are offscreen trying to have a baby again, which fast forwards to having a baby at the hospital.
