  • Hey guys! Slightly different style of video for me, but I've been wanting to make this for a while and had a lot of fun with it. Bluey is one of my favorite shows to watch with my daughter, and I wanted to explain why it's so much better than you might expect.. starting with my personal favorite episode.
Let me know what you think of it in the comments down below, I put around 24 hours into the entirety of this video so any compliments/suggestions/etc down below are much appreciated!
It took me 5 different times to upload this since TH-cam wanted to copyright literally everything, but I'm still content with the final result! Sorry I couldn't show it all.
    Thanks for checking it out!
Also, credits to user MicJaiy for the Bluey Lofi Beat at the end. • Bluey Theme Tune (Lo-f...

Bluey has become a major comfort show despite me being 19. I lost my mom in June of 2022, only 2 weeks after my high school graduation. I’ve been having a hard time with accepting that she isn’t here anymore. My grieving process has been a little weird. So watching bluey and seeing chili being a cool mom brought me a lot of comfort. I was very similar to Bingo as a child but with a little more separation anxiety. I always wanted my parents to be around me but eventually grew out of it. But anyways, i saw Sleepytime a few weeks ago. I was going through some stuff so i of course watched Bluey to comfort myself. And i remember hearing Chili tell Bingo “remember i’m always here for you, even if you can’t see me” and immediately started crying. It was something i seriously needed to hear, i know my moms always gonna be here for me. Even when shes not here. I love this episode so much and i very much agree that it’s the best episode from Bluey💕

I was raped by 100 gang members. When I Junko Furuta turned down a boy who liked me I doomed myself to a life of pain and abuse. One day I was walking home from school, 4 men kidnapped me. They quickly took me to their personal torture chamber and subjected me to repeated rapes and torture. Even more disturbingly, they made my family aware of my situation leaving them terrified that they would be killed if I tried to escape. As the days stretched on, the men forced me to eat maggots and drink my own urine. Sometimes they would set live firecrackers inside of me. However, despite the things that were happening to me I never gave up hope. One day as they were torturing me for the umpteenth time, I manage to slip away and make my way to the police station. But sadly as soon they discovered me, they took me back and inflicted even more damage upon me. In the end, my injuries cost me my life. My body was discovered in a concrete drum years later.

I also think Floppy and Bingo are symbolic of parent and child.
    - Floppy "hatches from the egg" and the first thing she sees is Bingo, just like the chick and mother chicken.
    - Floppy wants to leave Bingo's side and join the other rabbits, mirroring when your child grows up and leaves the nest. Bingo lets her go but is upset to see her go.
    - Floppy still comes back to help Bingo when she needs it while getting back into the shell because (in healthy circumstances) you never really age out of family. After you "let your kids go" they've not truly left you.
It's a funky parrallel while Bingo herself is obviously the baby growing up, but it might just go to show that you never really stop growing up, and even when you reach adulthood and have kids of your own, there are still times where you have to be "a big girl". 💜

Honestly I feel another episode that often gets overlooked is Rain, the lack of dialogue doesn’t hamper the storytelling, and the ambiance…. It just throws me to my late spring/ early summers as a kid when it used to downpour… Sleepytime is def my #1 but honestly the brilliance of rain is understated… I hope that you can cover more Bluey episodes in this style, and your interpretation as both a father and someone who understands storytelling. I would love to see it

Some of my brain nuggets. It's not only the family, looks like every parent around them are completely okay with the way bluey's parents raise their children and their antics. Many episodes in which the neighbor's absolutely give their 200% whenever they are involved. Lucky's dad birthing bingo in Dad Baby, Judo's mum helping the kids in Ragdoll, Stripe marrying his brother in that one episode and so on! I love love the whole world of Bluey!

My favorite episode is rain! I wonder why no one talks about it, but it spoke to me. All the visual elements, the music, the way bluey doesn't give up on what seems like a stupid pastime, and chilli supporting bluey after seeing her work so hard. It's got so many more elements to it that makes it my favorite, but this will do enough for now. My second favorite is sleepytime, and then space.

I was babysitting at the time and when I heard Holst’s Jupiter I was totally caught off guard, since I had just played that piece in my high school band. Sleepy time is one of my favorite episodes I adore. The music pulls every subject together and threads it. The background music comes from a orchestral suite which I have played in my high school band. The movement of "Jupiter" is so magical and powerful sounds blends this episode with the suite. The powerful character theme with Chile is greatly powerful. These types of videos make me understand and comprehend the meaning behind these episodes.

Bingo is my favorite character because I feel so seen by her. She's sensitive, always willing to compromise, and struggles with setting boundaries and saying no.
Dance mode is basically an episode about consent as bingo's is being disrespected through the entire episode with chili saying bandit can have her fries, chili begging for one of her dance modes, bandit paying her off for her last dance mode, and bluey just deciding to buy the yes no button with bingo's money.
Yoga ball and nits also highlight how she has trouble saying no and how bluey often talks over her or for her. Also in butterflies when judo convinces bluey to just abandon her and the game, that's happened to me. So called friends suddenly deciding that it would be really funny to just stop talking to me during a field trip with literally no explanation or reason for why

This became one of my favorite Bluey episodes on 1st experience simply for including Holst.
I was getting ready to go into town & as I went to say bye to my brothers I caught the closing moments where it shows each setting in the house. I remember pausing to point out to their mum that Jupiter was playing, then giving a brief explanation on what I was on about. I was a couple minutes late for what I was going to, which usually I'd hate, but because I had this stress reliever playing in my head I didn't mind for once.
Watched it all the way through almost as soon as I got home & was in tears from how beautifully the episode is by several aspects.
Now I'll always have both a comfort show & comfort song in one place if I ever feel overwhelmed.

There are a lot of shows that make me (a 19 year old guy about to be 20) never want to be a parent or fear for the time that it comes. This show does the exact opposite. I want to raise a kid of my own and love them with open arms (not yet lol I want to be financially secure and such first). I haven't watched the whole series yet, but my favorite episode so far is The Weekend (which is a lot like Sleepytime.) The way it captures the innocent, wholesome, almost kind of magical vibe that a weekend would have for a child is just amazing to me.
I never personally experienced that, sadly. My weekends were always stressful and the exact opposite of how it was portrayed in the show because my parents would always be fighting and yelling (I'll spare the details.) So, seeing Bluey portray the way a weekend is supposed to be spent with a loving family ~not a *perfect* family, though. Just a realistically loving one, since Bandit doesn't hear Bingo and misses the leaf~ was such an eye opener. As much as it made me cry over the fact that I never had that, I'm glad I saw that episode.
Thanks to Bluey, I finally know what a healthy, loving family looks like. This show is godsent. Not only does it teach kids lessons, it teaches everyone good life lessons we all need. (Parents should be taking notes while watching Bluey!)

The only episode above Sleepytime is the best episode of Breaking Bad which has a perfect 10/10 rating on IMDB. Sleepytime truly is a pure form of art and one of my main reasons of aspiring to work at Ludo and not Disney. As an animator I don't want to work for money, I want to feel like my work and effort has an impact on the world otherwise why bother? If I wanted to simply work for money or do something mundane I would have become any other non art proffession.
