"I recently realised how old I am! ... so I had a colonoscopy." This just fucking sent me, I did not expect it at all and I burst into laughter, which I don't do very often. I totally understand the logic behind the follow-up line, but I still didn't expect it, hahaha.
As I recall the delay was introduced in TV news broadcasts in Los Angeles after they aired someones death live(following a highway car chase)…that was on every local channel except the one i was watching(the camera operator had turned to show the impact on normal traffic at the gruesome moment)
The “no don’t change the bass” and the late bleep got me so bad 🤣 also Havve is just one syllable “Hahv” if I remember correctly (I could be wrong lmao I just haven’t heard it as Ha-vee). I believe “electric boy plugged into my motherboard” is just a straight up innuendo lol. “So much Phobos” ah, just the way I like it 😏 I really like how they use more “retro” online jargon, considering TWRP tends to lean towards those kinds of references rather than the “current” stuff. It just feels aesthetically pleasing.
The full sentence is "Did not know I could afford a love electric as that boy plugged into my motherboard", Tom's character is "that boy" and he is plugged into the motherboard of her computer through the online connection, but Montaigne also points to their crotch to hammer in the double meaning of being "plugged into her motherboard" 😉
There is only one I can think where he wore a wig and that's Big Night, which follows the adventures of a drunk white girl on acid. It might be one of my favourites though, highly recommend laughing at that fever dream!
i don’t see it said often but i keep coming back to your videos bc i like how much you pause and talk about the music :] the only time i skip over your commentary ever is if it’s like 3 in the morning and i’m really tired & want to go to sleep, but feel like i have to finish the video first
Heee! Okay, so Digital Nightmare is a concept album about the internet. My read is that it starts out fun, everyone's having a blast with the new technology, then it moves forward in time and thing starts to unravel, ultimately culminating in the last three songs. Ladybug - wherein something good turns out to be something bad (Again and Again), then finally obsolescence with A Humans Touch. Online is firmly in the Fun Part. It's late 90's early 2000's internet. And it SLAPS.
Love these reactions Ian! Also if you want an interesting reaction, maybe try Deanomania by Sans Beanstalk. The humour is a bit British themed, but I think quite a few jokes in Deanomania will still land with a non-British audience.
26:27 I can't believe you didn't get that Boy plugged into MY MOTHERboard joke To be fair it took me a few seconds to get it the first time i heard it so i don't blame you too much
Setup: Bill: I'm single. My guess: The contrast is that Ben is part of a harem/polycule/*something* weird. What actually happens: Ok, leaning more into the "Ben is more successful than Bill" bit rather than subverting it to something else. Tupper? Oh my. They give me cult vibes with some of what they do. I mean, yes it's an MLM sort of thing (distribution channels, parties, etc.). But also watching distributors (including my uncle's late mother) sing "I've got that Tupper feeling up in my head" (to the tune of "I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart" if you recall Sunday School songs) in a Tupper documentary was creeeeepy. And yes, you can find that song on TH-cam. Motherboard: the main circuit board that the CPU is plugged into, as well as things like your GPU if it's a separate card. But the imagery of an electric penis committing digital coitus once slotted into the motherboard...well, the motherboard does have the female slots for the male bits of other peripherals to slot in to. Doesn't Phobos mean fear or terror, no matter how many times you say it?
You should react to Danny Gonzalez's Song "Nepo Baby" It's under the name Fox SZN, which is a similar artist persona to bdg's Twinz^2. The song does not require any context from his videos so I think you'll have a great time analyzing it :D
Daniel Thrasher just dropped a video called “When you hold a mirror up to a mirror which is like, 50% music video 50% skit, wondering if you’ll consider taking a look at it?
Sir, you should definitely react/listen to some of the LongestSoloEver songs! My personal favourites are Overthrown (Mandela Catalogue song), open the door (that's not my neighbour song), and going in lethal (lethal company song). The everlasting fun (kinitopet song) is good too.
@@Insaneian they got a great sound, good visuals that fit the games and have background jokes (like dancing monsters in Going in Lethal). Going in Lethal and Open the door i think will fit your channel, but not sure about other two tbh.
I already did! But since it's not a comedy song, the reaction is exclusively on my Patreon instead! (Also, just FYI, Stupes uses they/them pronouns, not he/him)
@Insaneian Well, as you may know, the common one for people to react to of "Tim Minchin" is "Prejudice". The one that will come to my mind when thinking of "Tripod" is called "Ghost ship". And for "Sammy J" by himself, I would recommend a song called "Pink clouds", however, for "Sammy J and Randy", one of their more popular songs is called "secrets".
Hey Ian, I don’t think you mentioned it before in any of the tens of dozens of reaction videos you’ve done before, but…are you perhaps a……..comedy musician? 😐
I love when "Bill" first says "i am currently single", and the bass player silently mouths "Fuck", because he clearly knows what's coming 🤣
Ha, I missed that!
"I'm living with Bill's ex-wife and kids-" Call me a billionaire, because my jaw is dropping down to the titanic.
These two songs were both so good, with Online being just an honest Bop, and Let the Children watch being typical Cardy brand of Comedy.

In case you're curious. The motherboard is the part of the computer that connects all the other parts of the computer together.

We've missed you Insane Ian. Hope you took your time with your burnout situation
Ooooh! I'm so happy to see a new reaction from Ian. I hope he got some rest and had some fun during the break but I glad to see new reactions,
I am now introducing Sane Ian

This comment is uncannily formal
@@vintage-radio You say that like it's a bad thing.
@@DJSchreffler it's not, I'm just kind of used to comments being all informal on TH-cam
@vintage-radio Ian does a wonderful job reacting to the videos, and I should provide the same care in my comments reacting to /his/ videos.
@@DJSchrefflerFair point. Have a good day (or night)
You speak so gooody that one can say you speak very well.

i have never once heard someone say havve's name like that lol
@@deamonsead how would you say it?
Have you cheched out "Tim Minchin", "Tripod", or "Sammy J (And Randy)". All 3 are Australian musical comedians.
I'm familiar with the first two but I don't know them super well.

@@MrVashthestamped for Sammy J and Randy, I'd say "A Ballad" or "Soon You'll Be Dead" as well

Please react to your favorite Martian
Does he have any new songs? If so, I'll see if I can add them to my list, thanks!
Why does the sound always crackle? You need better software.
Yeah, sadly it's starting to get worse. Sorry about that.
And we're sure that Doctor Sung isn't BDG? I mean he can't be, right?
That’s why I hate the FCC.
Are you sane?
no, he's inside the country on sane... some might say he is in Sane
