For reference, out of all internet personalities who have partaken in Pokémon Smash of Pass, Arin has by far one of, if not the highest Smash counts at 213 (23.72%, taking into account Gen IX hadn't come out yet.) while Dan had a notably low score, at 83. (9.24%) So the dynamic between Arin and Dan in this song is informed by their actual views on smashing Pokémon. Hence why they made a Pokémon Smash or Pass song 2 and a half years after the trend died. Since they had a unique angle to bring to the concept that no one else did, because everyone else did it solo, they thought it would make for a good spot on the album. (that and the fact that they weren't planning on making a 4th Starbomb album until well after it's prime.)
@@Insaneian it released about a month after Markiplier's video (the video that started the trend.) so they weren't really quick on the band wagon, but they weren't that late either. Unless you were talking about the follow-up they did specifically on Miltank Pokémon fusions about three months back. (You can just look up "Pokémon Infinite Fusion Calculator" to see what that's all about.) looking back, that was probably a promotional video, and this song was likely in production at the time of filming. (Or at least it was fresh in their minds.)
@@Insaneian If you're talking about the Miltank Pokémon Fusions video from three months back, then yes. Now that I think about it, that was likely a promotional video for this song. It was probably in production during filming, or at least fresh in their minds.
Adding to someone elses comment on how Arin has one of the highest smash counts of most content creators Every Pokemon in this song is one that he did in fact say smash to in the video, so they're not just randomly picked.

Thank you. I thought it was true, but I was too lazy to go back and figure it out.

@kingpenguin5825 Actually, I rewashed. Arin didn't, but Dan absolutely did.

This is false. I don't remember everything about that episode, but I know for a fact they both passed on Charizard.

Wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t catch it but they did say on Twitter they were coming back a while ago

i was going to say the man follows the rule of "where there is a hole there is a goal". But some of the smashes at the end had no holes.
Nah, man. Some chess sets have hollow pieces.
You gotta think harder, not smarter.
