I don't know why I come back to these discussions again and again. Love it, it act as a motivation for me to play my part in reforming the conventional education system.
I've seen many videos about J.Krishnamurti talking and discussing but in this one to see him laughing and enjoying talking with those kids is marvelous. He was pure love indeed.
I feel every child and citizen of the world should experience the teaching to know what is correct living; thank goodness, we have someone who has been crystal clear in the subject...!
This all makes sense: Krishnamurti had never felt a single iota of peer pressure. Ever! He was a single-minded maverick, but in all the best ways. Fearlessly independent always. Great post, thanks!
How lucky are the kids to be talking to J and discussing with him at such young age. It is the advantage of studying in such esteemed schools. That boy must be in a good position now. Great video
@@linguafranca1790 doesnt mean u cant still try to get a comfertabel living situation with a good amount of money in tha bank. But u cant depend on that ofcourse
Look...how patiently he is listening to these kids. I think, the key message he is trying to drive to teachers is that that teachers must lend their ears to the students.
Indeed, many of us who were children at that age have now grown up to be fragmented, neurotic human beings as we did not have the right Education (The school might have been so called 'good'), but dropping thought, time and desire; there may still be hope for us in this cruel and insane world !!!
The boy tried to make a very good point at 50:56. That since he is a well known person his talks are being recorded and respected but talks of a peasant are not respected. So that has been the way of society to respect someone who is famous.
Indeed. And it was stroke of luck (or fate if you prefer) that Krishnamurti was selected by Leadbeater to be the World Teacher. To his credit, he renounced all of it but still it gave him a platform which brought us to the point of us listening to his teachings.
I doubt the world would listen to what he had to say if what he was saying wasn’t so deeply inquiring into the human mind platform or not. I know I wouldn’t.
India is proud to have such teacher in true, genuine sense. How briliantly he explains among the children. It is still relevant.....Wish we and our countryman could have benefited from his teachings......
Fascinating to see this socialised exchange. I see it all over the world, even in the US, even among my own mentees and children. The girl is quieter and asks questions more deliberately and you can see her think. The boys are quick to shout out what comes to their minds. JK is interacting more with the boy than with the girl. The messages we send children are very subtle.
Very talented, genuinely interested and intelligent kids. At that age, they surely grasp such a sauce less subject. At their age, my talent was in watching Tom and Jerry, I was genuinely interested in Tom's stupidity and my intelligence was limited to black and white tv box. I wonder who are them and where are them now?
I think you meant to say "peer pressure" was not well understood or identified during his time. Maybe that is right. But peer pressure existed for as long as any of the animal kinds existed.
This video just got cuter, by that bubblegum question 💞 When JK said which is wrong, the buy corrected JK by saying which may be wrong... That was cute.
Anyone, in which of his talks with children, does he talk about meditation? For example, in following blog, the author refers Krishnamurti's book 'On Education' page 58, wherein Krishnamurti explains meditation to Children. I am interested in listening to that talk. Please help me with the exact talk (audio or video).
There is no try , only do -Yoda in Star Wars; this is actually relevant for any middle aged office worker as well; since we have not grown out of our adolescent fears......
That is we need to re-learn in adulthood what we accepted in our childhood, to 'set the house in order' as Krishnaji used to say - before setting spiritual ambitions ! Yes what lucky students. They would be 52 yrs now, the same age as I - who have learn't NOTHING ! There needs to be a re-haul of Education, how it is delivered.....
@42:19 I find it fascinating the kids are unable to say they will treat all humans equally. I too grew up with servants and each time I go back to India, I see the same things JK talks about. Heck, they came up with the whole caste system to make it hereditary. I think the kids are grappling with that.
Whether it is right or wrong, childrens are allowed to express their views. Allowed to Interrupt the great j.k. point to be taken from in this conversation.
It is a technique that will teach them to express themselves more clearly. They were doing it, everytime he pretended not to understand someone expressed it more clearly.
Initially i thought the same, but later when he drove into it, it made sense. He clarified that saying peer pressure and making a special deal about it is not necessary. He helped them understand pressure, its various forms and its relation to fear. Pressure from peer, parents, teachers, boss what is the difference and similarity? Its all about them wanting to live up to someone else's expectations of them. As typical, he asks why and explores together with the kids.
I don't know why I come back to these discussions again and again. Love it, it act as a motivation for me to play my part in reforming the conventional education system.

These children r so intelligent, quite ahead of their age.

If left free, and there reason allowed to function, it comes naturally
Question is where are they now?

He didn't have peers: he was raised virtually alone by the theosophical society and was homeschooled by them
He was lucky that he had no peer. But, what can we do because we have peer pressure ?
