    🚄 INFORMATION KEY
    Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS#TO...
    Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
    Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

    Not sure why but the class 745's at speed sounds like old style Formula One car, it sounds truly epic. Terrific video of lots of variety in such short space of time :-)

      I like the way they look but they don’t have much character in comparison to a 321. They’re very very similar to the 345s though and that gives a reduction in variety on this route. Thanks Tiger Trainz.

    A few key thoughts:
    1. We’re back on the GEML again with weekday service and the Class 720s
    2. Good sight of Ex-Northern 321s and 322s.
    3. Good to see the Class 720s on all routes now. WOW they have good acceleration
    4. WOW that is a big, enormous freight train catch at 4:25
    9:13 train sneaks onto the GEML thinking “they won’t see me”

      Well the 720s are now most rarest on the West Anglia route with no units on Hertford East runs as of yet.

    Quite like the 720s - they do seem differentiated enough from 345s and other TfL aventra stock. Did brief train spotting at Stratford and they do give a feeling of very weighty speed when they take off. The 321s that everyone seems to love aren't too bad either, to be fair: they do quite fly along.

    • @StarlifeStudios
      @StarlifeStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I’m not exactly sure what’s going on. Even before any GA stock replacements, 8-car 321s were present on almost all services. I filmed some yesterday (video coming up) and most were 5-car 720s. The new stock is definitely the majority now 😞 Thanks Rosh_Buses 😃

    This station in Essex is on the Great Eastern main line, east of Shenfield, nowadays the terminus of Transport for London services (TFL). Class 321s operating in this video. I think they were the original rolling stock of the Stanstead Express. I used to stay in a residental home called Cardfields as a school holiday every summer between 1991-95 in Hatfield Peverel, down the road from Witham.

    • @StarlifeStudios

      I really like Witham. Its on a bend which provides some good angles from London and on a good day you will see lots of freight. Grays is a bit far for me and C2C are very aggressive for filming but I will see what I can do for you 👍🏻

    Nice Video! I have gone out of Witham before over to London Liverpool Street via Chelmsford I think was on a 720 do the 745’s stop at Witham anymore? Or is it just 321’s and 720’s

  • @AndrewG1989
    @AndrewG1989 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The Class 321 set to be replaced by the Class 720s as some of the Class 720s have already entered service. But I think that Greater Anglia should keep some of the Class 321 Renatus as back up units despite more Class 720s are on order with a total of 133 Class 720s. Also why is Greater Anglia using Stansted Express Class 745/1 on the London Liverpool Street-Norwich service.

    • @AndrewG1989
      @AndrewG1989 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also nice to see the former GA Class 90s in Freightliner livery.

    • @StarlifeStudios
      @StarlifeStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In this video, 321s were certainly still the majority. However, the balance has now shifted to the 720s and they are now the majority (albeit by a small amount!) GA seem to struggle to keep the 745/0s on Norwich services but I’m not sure why. Thank you Andrew 😃

    • @AndrewG1989
      @AndrewG1989 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True. Greater Anglia could operate a 10-Car stopping service from London Liverpool Street to Norwich. And could introduce a new Liverpool St-Lowestoft service using 2x Class 755 4-Car.
