  • 15 minute easy to follow and effective workout. No excuses! No equipment needed! All you need is a sturdy chair for these toning exercises.
    This is a full body workout that can be done anytime and anywhere. We work our shoulders, chest, core, triceps, quadriceps and glutes!
    If you are not comfortable kneeling on the chair for push-ups, please stay in a seated position in the chair and lean forward bringing your chest towards your thighs.

    Love these seated workouts. I have finally learned how to do “moderate” workouts and stopped pushing myself so hard. My 84-year young body says thank you so much. It has taken me quite sometime to realize that my body still wants to push but it’s not what it truly needs. Thank you for being here and making these workouts available to all of us!

    For Mom and me, this is our go-to workshop. Then, next, we do your Chair Pilates. We always have a good time, huffing and puffing a bit, and anticipating when you will reward us all by saying”…..feeling the beautiful stretch” which we always do feel. Thanks so much.

    I appreciate your positive voice and encouragements! This didn't feel as "beginner" as I was hoping for; I cannot stress my lower back this much by raising leg(s) but I adapted some things to be in line with physical therapy exercises and feel that I had a real chair workout all the same. Thank you.

    I live where it's very hot and there's no air conditioning, so these short to-the-point workouts are a terrific way for me to get my movement in each morning but not overheat. I like the chair yoga workouts for the same reason. Thank you Lauren!

    SUPER fun workout! Am having strong valgus knee concerns but this made me MORE aware then ever of internal pelvic muscles and core muscle work needed more frequents strengthening to help. Thanks!! Come 'visit' again tomorrow 🙂

      sometimes I reduce the video speed to .75 if I feel the pace is too fast for me. hope this helps!

I have been working out with you six times a week and I am noticing so many benefits! Lauren, my body is changing for the better! I'm more flexible, I'm toning up, I feel better than I have in a long time, and my self confidence is growing.       Hi Lauren! I have found the perfect combination! I do this work out and then your Yoga Stretch and Strength work out! Man, that is perfect! Oh my gosh. Why did I not find this page before? I go for my first official weigh in on the 10th. I am excited! My cardiologist and PCP are going to be so happy. I know I am! I will let you know what they say! I am sure my A1C is going to be great!     My mother and I do 15-30 minutes late of your chair exercises every day. The first 2 minutes of this workout really used to challenge us. But now it’s really enjoyable. Thanks so much for being one the best parts of our day.

    I'm recovering from an injury (calf). I was searching for something which could help me to reduce a bit my stiffness as I'm not training as usual during these weeks.     Good workout, Lauren. Nice to occasionally have a short session seated but I will do a longer one tomorrow. I have a hamstring pain in right leg so am going gently with that.

    That was brilliant, and fun, and effective. I had been reading for a while and felt the need for some movement (but not to change clothes or get sweaty.) This was absolutely perfect.     This was just enough to challenge me, but without thinking," I won't do this one again"! I am so out of shape, I want to start slowly so I don't get discouraged. I have realized I can't do the workouts I could do when I was younger, so glad to have found these! Thanks!

    Hi, I was wondering if it was easy enough for you to tell me which videos do/do not contain bouncing or jumping as I have a calf strain so can't bounce or jump at the moment, but would be interested to try some non-chair exercises without the jumping/bouncing.
    Also, just a thank you for offering such a wide selection of exercises. You're very well spoken, give off friendly vibes and give clear instructions. Thank you!

      Thanks Bethanie! Actually none of my videos have any jumping. In the walking, dance and kickboxing videos there may be some bouncing, but it is always low impact and optional. I think maybe a good place to start would be the standing pilates videos. Let me know if you need help finding them.

    Good overall workout in a short amount of time. I would like more gentle chair yoga. I like 30 minutes or less.

    Thank you! Absolute beginner here. Never had to exercise to keep my figure, so neglected strength. In 50s, I now realize I need to change that!
    How do I both hold tummy in and breathe properly (diaphragm not chest) at the same time? Thanks again 🌷

      Lot's of practice ;)
      To start (it will eventually become natural) just focus on holding your tummy in as you exhale. Once you "find" your core muscles you can hold them as you breathe. It just takes practice and being aware and making the mind-muscle connection.

    If I could make a suggestion: please start with the modification, then move to the standard movement. I'm looking for seated workouts for my 88 year old mom, and there are a couple of moves (like the glutes move) that would be hard. But if you were to start with the modification, she wouldn't feel compelled to barge ahead with the standard move before getting comfortable with the modification! Thanks, overall this is a great workout!

    Beginning was a little too fast for this 60 yr old that’s had pretty much 0 exercise since the start of Covid; also leaning back and lifting both feet off the ground is a DEFINITE no for me❣️
