I'm doing these to maximize my chances of getting into my school's varsity choir! I've been in choir for 4 years now as a soprano, and I'm finally at the grade that allows me to try out for varsity. I just want to be as good as the sopranos in the varsity choir, and auditions are in a month. Wish me luck! Currently my vocal range is D#6 - F3. I also really need to work on my lower range.

Oh my god this exercise is so difficult but so worh it. I just released my first song and I couldn't have done it without this one. if I can give a piece of advice, try not to go in falsetto for as much as you can! but keep going! you can do it!
you might’ve become a mezzo or your voice is maturing. Like Beyoncé used to be a mezzo with a bright voice and great support but not she is a mezzo with a darker voice but still has great support
Masha Kalinina I’m no expert on singing but don’t strain your voice to hit these high notes. Try to use falsetto/head voice to hit them if you can. Only sing what you are comfortable to and push yourself a note or two higher and you’re range will increase overtime. You could hurt you’re vocal chords if you force it.
Day 1 : Done [ terrible on high] Day 2 : Completed Day 3 : cheated Day 4 : Completed [cant reach the highest] Day 5 : Completed Day 6 : Cheated Day 7 : Completed Day 8 : Completed Day 9 : Completed Day 10 : COMPLETED I am skipping a lot these days(multiple exercises of 2 hours. hard to do all in a single day [breathing,head,fry,range,32total,warmup,cooldown] ). so im gonna just count my completed days.
Try putting the leg of the side you write with infront and when is time to hit a note, put your weight in it when hitting the note, know when to use head, mixed and chest voice. Don't tense your throat cuz you are putting the strength in the wrong place, the veins we see in singers are bad, relax the neck and instead, put it in you abdomen, chest, and back muscles of your arms, aka tense it up when hitting the note, for learning amd feeling how it should feel, use a weight, not that heavy not that light, and grab it with both hands, lift it in front of your chest (shoulder height), what that is doing is tensing the area you need to use, slowly but surely your body will automatically do it itself. I learnt this one from the concervatory, smile, like legit smile wide open, what you are doing is "putting" the voice in the molars and it helps you. And don't forget, extending your range isn't a one week thing, it takes time, don't go over your limit cuz you can cause long term damage. No cold things, don't scream, use your chest voice while speaking and good luck 💜

I'm gonna update my improvements: Day 1: my voice keeps cracking and I'm having a hard time hitting the high and low notes (also my dog keeps judging me) 🥴
i was the highest tenor in my choir. i could belt a B4 with little strain. and now that my voice dropped i can’t full voice anything above an Eb4 without feeling uncomfortable. i’m going to do these everyday and i’ll update you on my improvement ✨
@@randompersonb5320 if you don’t practice for a while you lose your voice. it happened to me, i practiced consistently for years in choir and took lessons and i got pretty good! but then i got too insecure and didn’t sing for a few years and lost all my progress.
Question. Some of these exercises tend to be a little high. Is it safe to attempt to do a whole exercise even though it ends up very high? Or should one do these and stop before they know they will struggle?
@@jammin0591 strain your voice only a note or two higher than you can do comfortably, then overtime once you get the hang of the previous strained notes and can do them properly without strain, strain your voice to 2 more higher notes and continue doing this and overtime your range will get really good. But, we all have a limit to notes, no matter how many range extensions exercises you do, it's not possible for everyone to hit every single note. So, by straining your voice I don't mean for you to hit those high notes in chest voice all the time, everyone can't do that, so hit them in falsetto, what I meant was just go a note or two higher than your comfortable note and then overtime your range and voice will get better. And to maintain a good voice, do 5 minute vocal excercise everyday and drink hot water with salt. (wow this was long)
Need some vocal practice for the spring musical, so I’ll update this daily with my progress. Day 1- my voice broke on some of the higher notes so I had to stop, but I fared well update: I forgot this existed but the musical went well at least

I am trying so hard to sing with high pitched voice -I have a damn low voice- and now it sounds like you know it is in a whispering tone but it is a scream
10:32 WTF?????? How the hell did my voice go there? I started practicing 2 weeks ago and I was a D# / Eb3. No previous training and I have NEVER been told I could sing or carry a note. I do 10 minute warms up a few times a week. I actually did a good practice session this morning but didn't notice any major changes. I practiced for 10 minutes and took the range test again. It came back with D3 to D# / E6. When I sang earlier today, the highest note I saw (I use a tuner visualizer see where my voice is) G5. These exercises are awesome!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to see what a week looks like!
I nearly passed out and had to stop after 5 minutes and my face was getting pins & needles to the point where i couldn’t lip roll and my lips were uncomfortably pouting slightly. Had to lie down. Any advice?
well, I sang good during my childhood, like every sorts of high and low ranges. But when my voice became hoarse , i got a feeling like something was stuck in my throat and i developed a habit of clearingy my throat by any rough means possible, which was the ultimate mistake i made. I couldnt even speak properly after that. In 5 years of time, I 've improved quite a bit but i still cant speak up to my full extent. I need to exert more pressure to my neck to speak up the words. Can anybody help me with the exercise guide, like which exercise to choose(I have problem with E scale and falsetto

Sure.
HOPE YOU GET IN BRO

As the notes get higher should I sing in head and falsetto?
Yes falsetto is generally most appropriate to use in higher range@@paul7m12d
Oh my god this exercise is so difficult but so worh it. I just released my first song and I couldn't have done it without this one. if I can give a piece of advice, try not to go in falsetto for as much as you can! but keep going! you can do it!
after I did this, my voice sounds more higher even when I normally speak
im a soprano but slowly i lost my high voice and became good at the low voice
Same
Same here. Wonder if I can get my higher range back and can sing both high and low. ^^
Same shit happened to me.
Went from soprano as a kid to basically baritone/bass now.
you might’ve become a mezzo or your voice is maturing. Like Beyoncé used to be a mezzo with a bright voice and great support but not she is a mezzo with a darker voice but still has great support
Same here man...I was a Soprano but now I am tenor😔
Ugh, some of them get so high and I sound like a dying bird, but I hope this exercise will help me to improve my range.
@@bryandiaz1044 thanks!
@IcedTails thank you! It's actually really helpful

How much time did it take?
@@syedhamza5023 1 month to 2 month depends how dedicated you are =)
Try putting the leg of the side you write with infront and when is time to hit a note, put your weight in it when hitting the note, know when to use head, mixed and chest voice.
It’s been a week and I’m already improving, thank you so much bro

i was the highest tenor in my choir. i could belt a B4 with little strain. and now that my voice dropped i can’t full voice anything above an Eb4 without feeling uncomfortable. i’m going to do these everyday and i’ll update you on my improvement ✨
What happened????? 👀:O
@@randompersonb5320 if you don’t practice for a while you lose your voice. it happened to me, i practiced consistently for years in choir and took lessons and i got pretty good! but then i got too insecure and didn’t sing for a few years and lost all my progress.
I was tenor for most of life until adolescence came in and my range dropped like almost a whole octave I’m trying to get that octave back😢
Question. Some of these exercises tend to be a little high. Is it safe to attempt to do a whole exercise even though it ends up very high? Or should one do these and stop before they know they will struggle?
If it hurts or is uncomfortable dont do it
París Arts it makes sense. Will my voice increase overtime and will I be able to go higher comfortably? Is that how it works?
@@jammin0591 if you do it once a day and correctly it should. Make sure you drink lots of water though.
