- Sanguinius defends the Eternity Gate during the Horus Heresy during the Siege of Terra in the Warhammer 40k setting EXPLAINED in 60 Seconds.
Battling a deamon prince a deamon primarch plus multitude titans , yet refusing to yeeld. Truly a one of kind soul, the empirium didn't deserve Sanguinius.
That’s not even half of it… after all that, after 200 days of nonestop battle against the toughest champions the chaos gods had to offer, after battling through every rampart and battle there was on Terra slaughtering daemons and traitors alike in their tens of thousands, after breaking a greater daemon of Khorne over his knee(old lore, I know… they changed it, but it’s still my head cannon) and right after proceeding to duel Angron who he absolutely massacred… he would knowingly walk to his own doom to sacrifice all that he has.
Not just his life… but also the fates of his beloved sons. Knowing that his death would haunt his sons for Millennia. He gave all that he cared for to safeguard mankind.
And even that sacrifice wasn’t easy. He had to fight trough hundreds of elite Sons of Horus on the vengeful spirit suffering even more wounds, before he would even arrive to Horus.
And when he did, exhausted, wounded and wary Sanguinius would put up a fight that would cause Horus to deem him not just the fastest or the most skilled primearch, but also the mightiest.
And survives a sword stab, wait GIANT SWORDS STAB
what about the guard that was there basically demigods around and your like hell yeah we ain't quitting.

The way Sanguinius went out was just fuxking excessive. I understand it had to be that way to leave the impact it did on his legion. But the detail read like a gore fantasy. His wounds were at least as bad as the Emperors, if not worse.

Multiple Primarchs killed, trillions of lives lost, countless artifacts destroyed, Malcador's sacrifice, and The Emperor reduced to a husk. The Siege of Terra is still felt over 10,000 years later.

Honestly off the top of my head I don't know what makes it masculine, but I identify that principle primarily with masculinity SPECIFICALLY when we're talking about massive bloody battles like this
Dying to protect what you love is masculine and feminine I would say
But something about the thought of wanting to die fighting the hoards of chaos at your father's side seems to lean towards a masculine feel for me personally
But like a lot of things there'd be shades to it

Like I said before I think dying to protect someone you love is not exclusive to masculinity

@@jasoninthehood9726 primarchs heal and regenerate considerably faster than even astartes. Even a short break could have helped take the edge off. Or not. It’s all speculation about a fictional universe

A normal primarch vs all them, after getting back from a hellish world where he fought ka'puto. Pretty sure he fought other greater deamons too.
I remember reading that the traitors needed angron to counter sanguinius. Like..... no. You need way more than that. They needed an almost chaos god ascensed horus to kill him.
Imagine if Angron wasn't in his ascended deamon prince primarch form. Sanguinius would absolutely destroy him.
Remember Sanguinius' soul haunts the Vengeful Spirit. I wouldn't be surprised if once in a while he manifested briefly just to completely wreck some hapless black legionnaire

Fun facts.
The emperor used the primarchs as living containers of minor chaos gods, the major 4 got rid of enemies and empy got generals.
Sanguinis however, had two souls imparted to him, this is later revealed in his dual nature, number of passed on flaws, and strength, he also had more gifts than his brothers, foresight, flight, healing, powerful psyker, increased stamina, strength and speed.
The one primarch who can old the empire after his father

How many companies per legion were before the horus heresy?
At least over 100.
Depends on the legion but on average over 100. 100 companies was a bit of a low amount as that's only 10 chapters. Guilliman had over 250 chapters so 2500 companies. Even a smaller legions like the thousand sons had at least 30 chapters just before the heresy, although after prospero the number probably dropped by a good amount.

Sangy winning a 1v1 with a titan is the most crazy feat of power from a primarch i know of. Angron held the foot of a war hound titan in place but it blew his back out. Sanguinius killed a chaos titan, a greater daemon, and banished daemon angron all in the same battle though at different times.
Sang showed his mettle during the entirety of the siege.
His speech is one of the best. I would have loved to see a live action adaptation of it but WELP, we all know how that went

Objectively the best, sanguinius, not only better warrior, compassionate when needed, even when defending terra he gave them a chance to not participate in battle, that is so unheard of in the 40k universe(yes it was 30k, but i mean the verse itself), not only he had his own curse, not only he founght and killed everything there is to defeat in that moment in time except horus, but he also had badass wings.

When the guy who knows the moments of his fated death was not worried, that should have been a warning
Sanguinius had a secret ability, because he had two minor god souls vs his brothers 1, his god charisma worked not just on marines but other primarchs too.
This is why I absolutely love Warhammer

Unfortunately I think Sanguinius can't come back as his soul went to the afterlife.
But I think that if the remaining loyalist Primarchs actually do link up and meet in the current day Imperium, they'll probably start another crusade in honor of Ol' Sangy.
Imagine if The Lion, Roboute, and Rogal all managed to find each other and started a crusade in Sanguinius' name.
The enemies of the Imperium would be in trouble.
