- Update from Dr. Judy on the 1st round of test results relating to the suspected pet food issue we have been sharing information on since 1/3/2024. We will share another update as more test results become available. Testing is not a quick process, but we are doing everything we can to get to the bottom of this situation as quickly as possible.

The fact that you have to do this and the FDA isn't is teling.
The FDA is a comprised entity and should be disbanded and reformed without ANY funding from major corporations! They allow so many additives and banned in Europe. It is no wonder that so many Americans are overweight, laden with cancer and diabetes etc. if they don’t care about people, they certainly don’t care about our pets!

You surprised? fda compromised most of the processed foods shouldn’t be consumed, we are under attack on all sides by evil.
So vote for people that will provide more funding to the FDA. There are only a handful of people working at the FDA that's working to solve this, so it's not surprising things move slowly. All this means, you should consider voting Blue. If the Reds had it their way, the FDA would have been abolished, along with half a dozen other agencies.
Food and Drug(s)(in the food) Administration, WHY are these two grouped together? Less filthy, rotten critters to pay off and all under one roof.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK. I APPRECIATE YOU! For those being snarky, why would you even put your fur kid at risk by defending the pet industry when there is evidence of such actions in the past? Become part of the solution by being cautious, patient and supportive until Dr. J can get this sorted out. She is a warrior. I don't see anyone else stepping up to endure the cost or backlash. My fur kids have gone through hell from these products. Accountability and change is good start.

very difficult to find ANY person with a veterinarian certificate (identical to allopathic medicine) worthy of assisting one's pets. If U can find some kind of "integrative" therapist. Someone that is willing to address body, mind soul healing WITH a serious comprehension of nutrition and how to support the animals incredible system...this is RARE . The good news is listening to generous VETS like this one. If your ZERO vet continues the ZERO (but expensive ) care; change up. At least find someone you can relate to...and boy that aint easy. If you love your pet s you'll persevere and nutrition is quite the key.

get a food dehydrator , buy some fresh raw chicken , cut up the chicken into 1 inch pieces
my Mom feeds her dogs this and they love it

My 2 shepherds were getting diarrhea and vomiting. Diamond Naturals Lamb & Rice Large Breed. We were at the bottom of the bag so we were not sure what they were getting into. I stopped all food and treats for a week and fed them chicken breast and white rice. They both stopped being sick and we gave them their dog food again and they started again. We didn’t think it was the food, because we had already fed them 3/4 of a 40lb bag, but after the second round of illness, we went back to cooking them chicken & rice and when they were normal again we opened a new bag and threw out the remainder of that old bag. They are doing fine on this bag, but I have started researching raw and human grade. (Farmers dog, we feed raw, Ollie, pets table etc).

We almost lost my yorkie last week. Severe vomiting and horrible bloody diarrhea. 1000.00 later he has turned it around🎉. He didn’t want to eat his kibble for three days. It was a new bag. I thought he was just being a yorkie. I have gone back to homemade food. My last yorkie thrived on homemade food with the correct supplements until he was 15. I’m never going back to kibble. I greatly appreciate all of your efforts in finding answers as to how and why these dogs have suffered and died due to the crap they are putting in their foods. This is completely unacceptable! We have already lost our food source(Sams Club - Members Mark) for our (2) large Golden Retrievers, just from the Scare going on. They simply pulled/Stopped selling anything packaged under their private label.
We had no health problems and it was a bit unnerving changing Foods while not knowing what was the cause of this mystery illness or how our Goldens would adjust to the change.
Since we don't factually know what is causing this or how it's transmitted I'm even leery of taking the boys to the Vet due t o the possibility of exposure.

I lost my beautiful Rotty Tahoe back in 2005 to bleeding stool and vomit and had been feeding her Iams!! I wish I had known this then, she was only 10.5 yrs old and I know she could have been around for a few more years!!
I just took my dog to the vet today because he had diarrhea yesterday, then turned to bloody stool last night and today. I opened a new bag of Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream on 1-22. If you want a sample of the food I'd gladly ship it to you!!!

I recently ran into ONE PET AT A TIME on social media and watched their live recording and the Facebook page became so popular that now "Purina" is compaing about them calling them false, but thats to be expected with these big corp.
I feed my 2 fur babies Purina Friskies 50 to 60 cans a month plus my female gets weight management dry food first thing in the morning and in between canned meals. He gets the regular dry food they seem to be doing alright in fact my girl is heavy duty strong.

Add Special Kitty to your list. Two of my dogs got sick getting in the cat kibble. Acted like Parvo virus....but they were both vaccinated (6 months ago as puppies.) Younger of the two was pooping and peeing blood...vet tested for parvo. Nope not parvo. According to stool samples they had me bring to back door.

Thank you!!! My two cats were getting progressively lethargic, stopped playing, and started refusing their canned food from Orijen (Salmon, tuna, beef with bone broth). One of my kitties also starting throwing up yellow liquid, which caused me to search the internet and find your initial TH-cam. I switch to Viva Raw pet food (Turkey) for one and Tiki chicken with broth, and Raw Z chicken with chicken liver for the other, who was vomiting, but refused to try the raw pet food. Both have had a remarkable recovery in 3 days of stopping Orijen, with return of great appetite, energy level, playfulness, and all vomiting has stopped. They are both thriving, again. Neither one had bloody diarrhea, diarrhea, or rashes but uncharacteristic food refusal, lethargy, vomiting, and lack of playfulness.
I do appreciate the time and cost you have put into this. I can see where labs would be a problem. I will keep following to be up to date on it
I suspected hormone content. My ferrets stopped breeding and randomly came on heat at the wrong times. Also a couple vomited. Completely changed their diet and things are more on track .
More and More I'm thinking this is why my service dog died in May! He was healthy otherwise. He had a combination of kibble and raw/cooked foods. He slowly started to get lethargic, less attentive, less active, had the runs, and started breaking out into hives for no known reason bloody urine, high white blood cell count. He was treated twice for urinary tract infection based upon that alone. The vet didn't do any further testing. Then he started limping, one evening he didn't want to get up. I made an appointment with a different vet for the next morning, but he didn't make it. He just emptied massive amounts of blood from his rear end, we rushed him to er vet, they had to revive him twice, but he didn't make it. I feel the vet we were seeing failed him and us. I trusted them the first time, got suspicious and started looking for a new vet the time they treated him for a urinary tract infection over the phone with no diagnostics, but he never made it to that next vet appointment. I nearly didn't survive his passing. I have the feeling the kibble he was eating (members mark) was tainted and killed him.

My dog died the same way last Thursday! Same dog food. My vet told me cysts had broken open in the end and she died from blood loss. Two of my other dogs passed the same way but until now I did not suspect the dog food. After reading your post I am positive the food killed my 3 dogs. All had enormous lumps in their abdomen and acted colicky, went off food completely, lethargic, shaking weakness and whimpering. I was also told it could be cancer. All in the exact same places is too coincidental. They only ate members mark their whole lives.

So glad to know there is even a possibility that these foods MIGHT be dangerous to our fur babies! Not even taking a chance. That old saying, better safe than sorry, works for me.
I would like to feed mine my own food too but vet says to much calories:/ and no to rea due to salmonella poisoning for me and my pets geez! I'm a reck! I love my baby's. I have 2 Bostons and a lab mix . I honestly think she's German/border Collie.

Find it interesting the one post I saw from someone testing their bag of food had higher levels of metals and arsenic. The testing should of been from the bags that dogs/cats became ill or died. There should be no medals or arsenic in pet food with no safe limits period.
We are so fortunate in Australia that we have Australian ethical pet food companies. Only have to search on internet to find them.
Be sure to look up the reviews from people who have actually tried those foods on their dogs…& independent reviews re quality. I’ve done that for so many & have been (horribly 😮).

Is any of the ingredients GMO
in the pet foods? Could it be a problem if so?
Hi Doc. I feed my two German Shepards "Nature's Balance limited ingredient" dog food Chicken, Sweet Potatoe, grain free, and the only thing they ever have had is itchy red rash skin which we've managed to control it with Apequil, however, they are constantly eating grass no matter what I do. Their stools are normal, and have been tested annually for worms and other parasites and they always come back negative as they are on a regular treatment of Heart guard and flee ant tick guard.

One major problem is Carragegon. It's n most pet food and ours and it's a carcinogen !
Back when we had the train fires and chemical spills over a year ago, a lot of the chemical smoke settled on cornfields. The corn was then harvested, but deemed not fit for human consumption, and was thus sold to feed stores for pennies on the dollar

The end of November, our Little Baby Dukey got very sick with bloody diarrhea and vomit, lethargy and not eating....
The 1st Vet said he is just having gastrointestinal issues, KEEP FEEDING HIM WHAT YOU'VE ALWAYS FED HIM IT'LL PASS..
The 2nd Vet said Kidney failure, put him on meds, but by December 12th his suffering was so bqd he was screaming all night long.
It was torture bc no vet was open, and we had to wait until 9am when they opened.
We took him in to get help, left with him gone 😭 😔
The Vet said he was dying, his legs quit working, his kidneys were bleeding, his stomach was full of blood....
We were and still are shocked and hurt. We have never seen our babies be "put down"....
I KNOW it had to be his food....Purina.
I specifically told the 1st Vet that I got him some different wet food and Dukey actually ate it, but did NOT want his normal food....
The Vet literally said "Wellll you're not a Vet, I am, so do NOT feed him different foods, it'll hurt his stomach, keep giving what he's always eaten"
He was our 1st baby....He never left our side....slept with us, went everywhere we did....

Much Gratitude for all your effort in informing us so we can do the best possible for our furry family. i have a lot of cats, most are throwaways who made it to my porch during the Big C panic when people began dumping because the shelters filled up..the local shelter declared me a Foster Home, so i can do this without violating local laws. The cost is enormous, but it is what it is & Every month i do hours of homework before ordering their food & even their litter..
Their trauma at having been just callously tossed on the river bank across the street in the middle of the night, from a home & family, suddenly dumped out on busy streets & a fast moving river, left to fend on their own..broke my heart...i am an eye person & their eyes told of their heartbreak...so..when they make it across the busy street to my door..i opened it & brought them in. i listened to their cries & spoke to them in soft comforting tones...it took most of them a while but they all began to relax & feel safe again. Got everyone neutered & they have forgiven me for that too.
Our relationship is reciprocal..i have absentee seizures..and they let me know when one is coming on & they stay with me until it's over..even if it takes hours to stop. Some will climb on me softly purring in my ears & licking my face to bring me out of it as quick as possible, or, if i am going to fall over onto the floor. The concern in their eyes, as they are all crowded around me, is astonishing.
i am Firmly convinced Most animals are smarter than people & just as caring if not moreso. Thus...i want them to have the Best.
& lately...it's a nightmare.
Not only are the powers that dictate our lives feeding us toxic waste, they are now feeding it to our pets as well.
....i believe in Karma..and these so called 'Powers'..have earned a 'special place' waiting for them.

This is horrible. I had some Stella & Chewy freeze dried. It was on sale I should’ve known and four bags of the turkey freeze dried and my cats would not eat it so I contacted the company and they gave me a refund on all four bags. No questions asked, which is a sign that they’re messing with the food. as far as Merrick they change the recipes twice last year my cats would not eat either time something definitely is going on the rumor has it they are putting mRNA in the food could that really be happening? We need the answers.

thank you for the worj. had so many cats for so long but i want to make my own cat food yet my older cats so far won't eat it.. i will try different meats. i have mostly fed high end high protein canned food all these years but i know they all can be unheathy. I'm going to keep trying.

7 yrs ago my pet boxer was having problems with her intestines..vet recommended Pro Plan beef and rice..had continued bloody mucus-filled stools..she (the vet) then recommended Royal Canin Rx gastro food..issue cleared up but now the cost of that bag is $114 a bag..i now make my own food for my dog...i want her to have good, healthy food...

I know for a fact that if everyone knew what goes into your pets food and how its cooked, NO ONE would buy commercial pet food for their beloved companions! Its a real shame! I have 2 dogs, one has mitral valve prolapse. Before I knew the truth, I fed her commercial brand dog food. She's paying the price.
Years ago, the dog food advisor said, food with blueberries might be a contributing factor in health issues, MVP at the top. Go figure.

You should probably talk to a toxicologist - one who considers all possibilities. To me, just a general bio nerd, I would think of shiga toxin or surfactant/detergent to explain the bloody vomiting and diarrhea. For the hives, I would suspect high levels of histamine. The shiga toxin and histamine could both come from rotten meat. Best wishes for a speedy resolution.
Commercial pet food is so toxic to our fur babies. Unfortunately I figured that out too late. So we lost our poochieface when he was 12. But if he was never fed that canned crap he'd have probably made it to 18 or 20. Smh

As far as people demanding proof. I would assume some companies have a vested interest and can command large numbers of employees that could be the ones demanding proof. Or any other ridiculous comments.
Its interesting how we have been having so many recalls of human food. It's idiotic to think that there's nothing going on with pet food. My dog got really sick last month for no reason that could be found and he stopped eating the food . We did get a new bag and wouldn't you know he's getting better. Things that make you say hemmmm.
Could you post the brands and the batch numbers so we can check our food?
