    I witnessed these pellet guns being very effective in personal defense years ago during a traffic jam..
    They shot 2 or 3 times with a Co2 pellet gun in the face of a big man who came out of his car with a stick, and that big man suddenly fell on his knees, holding his face with his hands.
    Everyone sees these weapons as a mean toy, but the most vulnerable part of a person is his face.
    they are effective and can penetrate deeply.

      @AirgunAlley  ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Wow what a story! Thanks for sharing, you just answered the eternal question: are these good enough for defense? Not many real life stories out there, so thanks for sharing.
      I do believe that when it comes to defense, the scenarios are infinite and they all mostly require different tools, depending on the situation. But if a guy come at you with a stick, hehe, pellet shower to the face it is!!

      yes, I shoot for the eyes, windpipe, carotid, and the most painful point...temporal nerve. located in front of ear lobe. a hit here paralyzes the individual due to pain. most go unconscious, and death has occurred due to extreme pain. I also soak my pellets in ghost peppers. a hit in the leg immediately paralyzes it. hit the face and they hit the ground, screaming. I mean SCREAMING. if I miss the TM NERVE or I can't get a shot there. the ghost pepper will stop them no matter where you hit them. tetracycline powder pressed into a hollow point does the same thing. very toxic to tissue. that's just a few of my tricks of the trade. there are places that prohibit firearms. an air pistol is not a firearm.

      I totally agree..air guns are not "firearms" and in some cases are much more useful and effective than firearms..
      Also, I really like the ghost pepper idea..

    I've had an SNR357 for quite some time now. I have a ridiculous number of BB cartridges for it. I ordered some BB cartridges, and some pellet ones, from Pyramyd. They made a mistake while packaging my order and sent all BB cartridges. I contacted them and showed them what I received. They told me to keep the extra BB cartridges, and sent me my pellet cartridges I ordered.

    • @AirgunAlley
      @AirgunAlley  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hahaha sounds like you better start shooting some bbs with that thing! They should be fine, unless you’re planning to get that son of a b of course :)

    • @halfcirclehranch6877
      @halfcirclehranch6877 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AirgunAlley It's great. Between BB and pellet shells, I can go out and burn through two CO2 cartridges without having to reload any shells.
      Really cool thing here... nearly all brands of CO2 revolvers using shells like that, they use exactly the same shells, just with a different brand marking. The only one I've found different is the Gletcher Nagant revolver. It has more narrow shells, which was necessary to keep the correct dimensions of the revolver and its 7 round capacity.

I know for a fact that getting hit with would hurt like hell, and it just might be good enough for personal defense, or at the very least serve as a strong deterrent. But I'm really wondering just how effective a .177 would be...and how would one test that? LOL
      I'm currently thinking about the Evanix Viper in .25 caliber as a decent personal protection gun. THAT will mess someone up. It's just that the price is a bit high, so I'm on the fence right now.

      I figured I’d still make you proud with the crapy cola. The spaghettios I think would’ve been a bit too much for .177 pellets.
      When it comes to defense in general it’s always so hard to pin point a perfect tool. I still think the T4Es are better. When it comes to non-lethal I believe that the “knock-out” effect is more effective than the “sting penetration” - if that makes sense….
      Thank you as always my friend

      Sadly I find both to be quite inaccurate from anywhere above 15ft. I attribute that to the short barrels they both have. That said, I think the 357 would do better in accuracy. The two guns are so different from each other, they’re a bit like apples and oranges :)

    Love your videos I’m shocked that you think the plan is the best. I have the exact pellets from 1520 feet away bounces off a cardboard for me. I hate them.

    How many FPS are considered lethal or incapacitating

    • @AirgunAlley

      For that you need to divide the FPS by the mass to come up with the energy power (Joules, FPE, etc.). The lethality is usually measured in FPE or Joules :)
