I’m surprised at the muzzle energy for a co2 powered pistol. I’m thinking that penetration could be improved with different ammo. Do you know what kind of fpe this is putting out?
Absolutely agree, would be awesome if you could shoot a larger variety of shaped ammo! And I know it’s a pain, but if you pause on the chrono readings, on the screen’s the bottom left you’ll see the FPE of each shot… Thanks for watching!
Great video and comparison. I think, however, the FBI's 6 to 7 yards is more for law enforcement or home defense. On the street a knife wielder isn't going to show their hand, until the are within more like 2-3 yards. In the home, if you choose the right vantage point to make your stand, 6-7 yards may be accurate. Shooting from 6-7 yards in your video is a plus, because anything closer, will be even more devastating. Thanks for all you do.
Airgun reviewer said he had a problem with the fitmen ailgnment, that the mock supressor screwed on crooked, or whopped, the extended barrel was straight and tru and fired correctly, just that the suppressor screwed on at an angle. Was that also a problem with yours?
7 yards (6 meters) is the danger zone within which someone with a knife has a good chance of overcoming someone with a gun. 10 yards (9 meters) is closer to the minimum comfort zone if you're defending yourself with a pistol.
In case I missed it, Please provide a link to the CVLIFE Red dot, and for the Pistelle x 68. I went to that link but did not find the Pistelle. Thank You ! FMR Intelligence Officer
Here you go sir! :) Pistelle: mercuryrise.com/products/nxw-pistelle-x-68-caliber-training-pistol-paintball-gun-marker Red Dot amzn.to/3PhK9fn Thank you again!
the CO2 doesn't "freeze" when not being used, unless the leak is quite fast, otherwise, the slow evaporation of the liquid CO2 in the cartridge will not lower the temperature significantly...very different scenario when firing a string of shots, and really fast, when you de-gas the cartridge.
it would be interesting to see a graph of the speeds, to see if the energy/speed decrease vs shot count, 'tracks'. it looks like the chamber pressure drops at a rate determined by the cartridge cooling, vs. the first/second shot difference from chamber temperature...
damn ! starting to look at my 40j hdx68 like a friendly shot to it shoots 46-52 with right ammo.... between this one and the 100j valken m17.... is 40j even enough for home defence ?
Sometimes i hate it living in the Netherlands 😂 Nothing is allowed here. I love guns of all kinds, cant use it in practice,so i have to do whit these channels 😊
That’s funny! My whole life I came to the Netherlands because it allowed EVERYTHING! Hahahaha Jokes aside, I’m sorry about that my friend, but it’s my honor to be able to demonstrate these tools to you via the screen 😎
As always great video. I have several air tools. What keeps me away from this one and most of that brand is price. I would pay no more than $200.00 for any air hand tool.
Thank you so much as always Harold! Understood, and surely the price of this will come down eventually. Sometimes it’s just wise to wait. Thank you again!
that first shot is +100% of the 'standard' short barrel! some it seems that even the first shot brings in cooler CO2 to the chamber, resulting in a fairly constant +/- 65 Joules...hmmm since i don't know anything about this pistol, can they shoot non-circular ammunition? Do the balls feed in the same orientation from the magazine into the "chamber", or do they rotate at all? does the CO2 drive the ball directly, or does it drive a "piston"? might be interesting to do an experiment to find a best-case barrel length for power, regardless of 'practicality'?
I've played paintball years ago and those ony shoot 170 feet per second. And it sucks getting hit with paint balls i bet those metal balls at 2× the power must be very nice !
Hi, this gun is not meant to shoot through a 2x4. It’s considered a “less lethal weapon. For that, there are plenty other airguns on this channel that blast thru several 2x4s
Good Sir, I have commented here in the recent past, in praise of your creative work and content, but received no feedback from you. Kindly be informed it is very important to give feedback here, to those of us who sincerely appreciate your creative efforts, especially the excellent choice of music to accompany the vid presentations. First why has no one built a pcp pistol with 4500psi but the tank made into the handle. Second Make you some light, white, zinc, slugs, hollow points they’ll pick up like 200 ft./s I did that with my t9 making my own zamac8 hollow point slugs. 33 grain 357 @ 930 fps. Makes the t9 a little more fun in my opinion
But, the entire co2 gonna blow out yer barrel, once you finally pierce it, in your time of need...🤣🤣 ..yea.. probably not. but I just had to put it out here..😁😁😂🤣 Video awrsome as ever. Thank you so very much! And, yes, I'd definitely want one of these - along with tge revilver model. Awesome products for sure.
There are plenty of places where criminals have access to improvised firearms or make them themselves, varying in quality from, "how many fingers am I about to lose," to, "are you SURE this isn't factory mass produced?"
again, zero knowledge about these guns: just wondering if you could coat the aluminum balls with graphite, to reduce barrel wear, possibly increase muzzle velocity? Asking because 'raw' aluminum galls badly against steel, so that it may increase barrel friction, and/or leave aluminum deposits in the barrel that would eventually lead to excess drag, possibly imparting "spin" to the balls...I've seen the spin problem in paintball guns, where the balls start to lose accuracy dramatically, and cleaning the barrel brings it back to being a 'straight shooter'?
Thanks for another great video on a co² "home defense " airgun. I've been watching your channel since I bought an umarex HDR50 a few years ago. I love your content about these airguns. But please let me correct you on your explanation about why these guns are so popular in European countries. I live in the border region from the Netherlands and Germany and here we have the most extreme strickt gunlaws. Normal citizens are not allowed to own firearms Unless you are a licensed hunter (wich takes about 1yr of courses and shooting lessons and tests you have to take at approximately €2500,- ) Or if you are a licensed sporting shooter, witch means you have to be registered in a state registered shootingclub where you actually are an active member and register each time you come in for your mandatory (!!!) Shooting rounds in order to maintain your license. It's definitely a huge misconception to think that criminals don't have firearms over here. In fact Criminals much more often have guns than the average person. Criminals don't follow these laws and get their hands on guns a lot easier and faster then the law-abiding citizens. However even if you legally own guns they need to be locked awa in a safe and the key to that safe needs to be locked away in a separate key-safe. And it's against the law to use firearms to defend your home and property. deadly force only is allowed to defend yourself or another person if there is an active deadly threat and no possibility to get away. So therfore people need other, less- lethal options to defend themselves and their homes.
The suppressor is just cosmetic right? Don't see a Need for both being bought. W/o it, imagine it is already expensive... like the cost of a police grade Pepperball gun... wait, can this shoot 68 caliber pepperball rounds? AKA make a tear gas cloud before the pain of metal?
I have to say, the suppressor does its job pretty well. Maybe DonnyFL will come out with a better one, but it does really bring down the noise. As for the pepper balls, absolutely! They shoot just fine. I demonstrated them in the previous video I made of this gun. Thanks s lot
Merry Christmas my friend! OK, so about $450 which puts it on par with your average real semi-auto. Ah, ok, so you're just reviewing the extended barrel - note - that suppressor is purely for show as there's no porting on the barrel to make it work - you should score a decibel reader so you can share whether or not these airgun suppressors are really worth it. Good news on airguns for self-defense - stats are now showing that criminals surrender/flee up to 90% of the time when confronted by an armed victim and this actually looks like a real firearm, meaning you likely won't even have to fire it. Good grouping and its doing damage to the wood - would just hurt on a torso hit but that could create some real problems getting hit in the head/face with those balls. Looks like the long barrel only adds 50 FPS - inclined to say not really necessary unless you're plinking for distance - wouldn't waste the money for purely self-defense.
Hey Sean, belayed Merry Christmas to you too my friend and as always thanks for your well thought, spot on analysis. Altho I will say that the suppressor actually muffles the sound quite well. Doesn’t make you cringe for the neighbors at every shot, like it does without it. Thanks again Sean, have a great NYE and talk again in 2025! (Get ready for another AEA invasion!)
I am sorry not to believe that. The intended coconut target was busted by pellets, I just thought it was busted by LR live bullets. Did you show us that it came from this air pistol?
Illegal in my country to use such a weapon for self defence assuming you could get your hands on one to begin with.I would think that it would be treated the same as shooting someone with a firearm as it would be based upon the intent and they would argue that you intended to produce the same effect a firearm would produce.
since i had mine , oct.11 2024 i went through 80 co2 over 600 shots , never changed orings , never had problems because maybe either i got lucky or my special formulation secret break in grease kept it in tip top condition . make sure to keep it well lubed and oil buddy . i recommend filling the piercing knob 1/2 way up with silicone grease , and before you drop in co2 , spray 2 seconds of pure silicone oil in ! . people use to laugh at the amount of lube i use , just about everyone else who has one of these had to change o-rings , mine is still being used and carried everyday ,no probz !!! . when i first got it , my first thought was to have a longer barrel made , my second was to have a 8 or 9 shot clip made for it , and my 3rd was to mod it to accept slug type ammo , internals and mag !!! . if stupid byrna can do it , i know i can ! . I have been wanting this long barrel and can for a week now , it seems to be a good deal , east coast less lethal is making some cool stuff for it also , so is dan sterling ! .i also discovered my first day , drop a ball in then your 6 shot clip that way you got 7 shots ! . great show my brother as always !!!
Well said!! As always my Ninja! Hope you had a nice Christmas and wishing you an even better NYE!! Are you fully recovered now from your back/hip issues?
For $500??? I would rather keep my HDR68. So much cheaper for same power. Seriously, I wish someone would find way to 3d print a nice air rifle for very low cost, like you can 3d print 9mm carbine for next to nothing. Cost is huge barrier and 3d printing is the way forward.

These Pistelle's/intrubuster's have massive power, great video brother 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much my man!! This things are incredible indeed!
@AirgunAlley 👍🏻👍🏻 oh yeah
Love it ❤

Model pistol?
Video 🔥🔥 air gun 🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I’m surprised at the muzzle energy for a co2 powered pistol. I’m thinking that penetration could be improved with different ammo. Do you know what kind of fpe this is putting out?
Absolutely agree, would be awesome if you could shoot a larger variety of shaped ammo!
And I know it’s a pain, but if you pause on the chrono readings, on the screen’s the bottom left you’ll see the FPE of each shot…
Thanks for watching!
You’re absolutely right - great points to consider!
And thank YOU!!
Awesome, thanks for this
What is the propellant? Fps?
In case I missed it, Please provide a link to the CVLIFE Red dot, and for the Pistelle x 68. I went to that link but did not find the Pistelle. Thank You ! FMR Intelligence Officer

the CO2 doesn't "freeze" when not being used, unless the leak is quite fast, otherwise, the slow evaporation of the liquid CO2 in the cartridge will not lower the temperature significantly...very different scenario when firing a string of shots, and really fast, when you de-gas the cartridge.
it would be interesting to see a graph of the speeds, to see if the energy/speed decrease vs shot count, 'tracks'.
it looks like the chamber pressure drops at a rate determined by the cartridge cooling, vs. the first/second shot difference from chamber temperature...
damn ! starting to look at my 40j hdx68 like a friendly shot to it shoots 46-52 with right ammo.... between this one and the 100j valken m17.... is 40j even enough for home defence ?
TH-cam was offering up almost one ad per minute for your video. I hope they paid you for this.
I hope so too, I put dozens of hours of work on this video!
If you add dimples to the .680 round, like a golf ball it will reduce aerodynamic drag and increase the impact .
My barrel kit is on the way will be making a video soon.
Y nosotros esperamos!!! Can’t wait! You’re gonna love it! GENTE, SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL if you’re reading!
@AirgunAlley 🙏
✌️😎
I wish I was your neighbor! 🤘
i always said that too bro lol !!!!
❤️❤️
Hahahaha! 🙌🏼
Sometimes i hate it living in the Netherlands 😂
Nothing is allowed here.
I love guns of all kinds, cant use it in practice,so i have to do whit these channels 😊
That’s funny! My whole life I came to the Netherlands because it allowed EVERYTHING! Hahahaha
Jokes aside, I’m sorry about that my friend, but it’s my honor to be able to demonstrate these tools to you via the screen 😎
Not for sale in europe.?
can we get these in the uk?
No. It's classed as a section 5 firearm here. You're looking at 5 to 10 years in prison if it's found in your possession
No one will be kidnapping those knomes 😂
that first shot is +100% of the 'standard' short barrel!
some it seems that even the first shot brings in cooler CO2 to the chamber, resulting in a fairly constant +/- 65 Joules...hmmm
since i don't know anything about this pistol, can they shoot non-circular ammunition? Do the balls feed in the same orientation from the magazine into the "chamber", or do they rotate at all?
does the CO2 drive the ball directly, or does it drive a "piston"?
might be interesting to do an experiment to find a best-case barrel length for power, regardless of 'practicality'?
I've played paintball years ago and those ony shoot 170 feet per second. And it sucks getting hit with paint balls i bet those metal balls at 2× the power must be very nice !
Oh then you’ll surely appreciate these even more! Hope you get yours soon!
Shooting thru a steel soup can and a coconut seems pretty impressive. How about a 2*4
Hi, this gun is not meant to shoot through a 2x4. It’s considered a “less lethal weapon.
For that, there are plenty other airguns on this channel that blast thru several 2x4s
@AirgunAlley right on thanks👍
have someone shoot with jacket and some layers, to if it stings?
You never put an extended barrel on hdrs lol
Because they’re not screw on/off like this one 😂
@AirgunAlley sure they are with the tuning barrel? Are you saying this comes out of the box like this?
Good Sir, I have commented here in the recent past, in praise of your creative work and content, but received no feedback from you. Kindly be informed it is very important to give feedback here, to those of us who sincerely appreciate your creative efforts, especially the excellent choice of music to accompany the vid presentations. Appreciative Regards, FMR Intelligence Officer
My friend!! I am so so sorry if I missed any of your comments! You are one of the kindest people that write on this channel and I’ve appreciated every single word you wrote so far. And I actually look out for your inputs (very distinctive, as they’re signed FMR Intelligence Officer).
I have a very demanding full time job, a 3-year-old to bring up and this channel that takes dozens of hours a week, just to produce one video. It get’s very challenging sometimes to balance them all. But God knows how hard I try.
So again thank you and apologies for missing any previous comment. Please do know that you are EXTREMELY appreciated as is your always insightful input
@@AirgunAlley I understand better now, your circumstances. You do one hell of a fantastic job with Airgun Alley, considering all your other obligations. Let any ideas I offer be helpful and thoughtful, but please do not burden yourself with a felt obligation to respond. Your Life's Plate is pretty full. Wish I lived closer to help you advance your presence on YT. Kind Regards, FMR Intelligence Officer
Good Sir, I joined your channel. $5 / month is a good way to start to support you. Kind Regards, FMR Intelligence Officer
Grazie a te Gianni! Dici bene, 7,5 joules sono pochi… ma possono sempre fare danni!
In the land of the blind the one eyed man is King
BB King.... 🤣
@@brorjordas1979 👍🤣
But, the entire co2 gonna blow out yer barrel, once you finally pierce it, in your time of need...🤣🤣
..yea.. probably not. but I just had to put it out here..😁😁😂🤣
Video awrsome as ever.
Thank you so very much!
And, yes, I'd definitely want one of these - along with tge revilver model. Awesome products for sure.
😂😂 that’s definitely NOT the plan ahaha
Thanks for your support my friend!
There are plenty of places where criminals have access to improvised firearms or make them themselves, varying in quality from, "how many fingers am I about to lose," to, "are you SURE this isn't factory mass produced?"
True, but I’m sure ammo can be a bit more challenging to produce in many counties.
Thanks for your input
Only one ting I godda say... *OUCH!*
😂🙌🏼
Does any does anybody know if I can get a ship in the Atlantic city over here?
again, zero knowledge about these guns: just wondering if you could coat the aluminum balls with graphite, to reduce barrel wear, possibly increase muzzle velocity?
Normal citizens are not allowed to own firearms
Unless you are a licensed hunter (wich takes about 1yr of courses and shooting lessons and tests you have to take at approximately €2500,- )
Or if you are a licensed sporting shooter, witch means you have to be registered in a state registered shootingclub where you actually are an active member and register each time you come in for your mandatory (!!!) Shooting rounds in order to maintain your license.
Sorry guy, airguns are always awesome for target and fun.... But for self defense, less than lethal is for the less than limp wristed.
Uffa ma qui in Italia non si possono prendere codeste cose 😢
Eh lo so caro mio.
Instead of round ammo use something pointed.
Unless muzzle-loaded, this gun only shoots round ammo…
+50% energy is "non-trivial" !
Someone could get hurt with that thing. Someone;'s going to lose an eye.
maybe you see how it feels.
since i had mine , oct.11 2024 i went through 80 co2 over 600 shots , never changed orings , never had problems because maybe either i got lucky or my special formulation secret break in grease kept it in tip top condition . make sure to keep it well lubed and oil buddy . i recommend filling the piercing knob 1/2 way up with silicone grease , and before you drop in co2 , spray 2 seconds of pure silicone oil in ! . people use to laugh at the amount of lube i use , just about everyone else who has one of these had to change o-rings , mine is still being used and carried everyday ,no probz !!! .
when i first got it , my first thought was to have a longer barrel made , my second was to have a 8 or 9 shot clip made for it , and my 3rd was to mod it to accept slug type ammo , internals and mag !!! . if stupid byrna can do it , i know i can ! . I have been wanting this long barrel and can for a week now , it seems to be a good deal , east coast less lethal is making some cool stuff for it also , so is dan sterling ! .i also discovered my first day , drop a ball in then your 6 shot clip that way you got 7 shots ! .
great show my brother as always !!!
you do NOT want to over oil your airguns
Well said!! As always my Ninja!
Hope you had a nice Christmas and wishing you an even better NYE!! Are you fully recovered now from your back/hip issues?
Yea…. U def don’t wanna get shot wit dat bih
😂😂 nope :)
What every Blue Line Shiny Badge Gang member fears!!! A air gun they can't confiscate from you and it's deadly!!!!😮😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
For $500??? I would rather keep my HDR68. So much cheaper for same power. Seriously, I wish someone would find way to 3d print a nice air rifle for very low cost, like you can 3d print 9mm carbine for next to nothing. Cost is huge barrier and 3d printing is the way forward.

Another good job. Why can’t you own a real firearm?
Thank you very much!
I can own one… but I can’t make videos in my backyard hehe
@@AirgunAlley great answer my brother , it has long been a misconception , us airgun freaks cant own guns , airguns are the best way to get in practice , plus they are such fun !!!! lol plus you can shoot em almost anywhere !!! lol
:-p
😂 powerful.......not even. You are confusing energy with power.
