Hi Roger, just want to say thanks for taking the time out to explain simple steps for starters like myself !! You have already taught me so much by watching your clips. I went out to the range last week and had no idea what to do and managed to hit about 7 targets by luck. Hence I started doing some research on the net and found you, your directions are easy to follow & already positive on mounting my shotgun. Straw is also a brilliant idea. Can't wait to go back out and put your tips to the test, but feeling a lot more confident thanks to you. 😎
Hello Roger Just to say I am just getting back shooting clays after 20 years off ..... And your videos are helping me to get me back on track !!! Keep up the good work mate ..
Thank you Terry...there's a guy at the Club ...he's 82 and he still shoots really well...If I can shoot like him at 82 I'll be happy...stay well...Roger
Roger your explanation is great and is all well and good provided you have a shotgun that patterns above Center and has as a example 55/45 60/40 65/35 70/30 and some even 80/20 patterns. There are plenty of folks that shoot trap with shotguns that pattern 50/50. Myself included this requires the shooter to cover the target like you would if you are hunting game birds. Have to be quicker out of the house with 50/50 patterns shotguns. In my experience it's better for some but not so good for others. 50/50 pattern is better for doubles trap in my opinion. Keep up the great work though.
Thank you Roger, great info. I just got a 686 sporting with adjustable stock that shoots a bit low. I shoot trap with the imp. modified choke 18/25 (bought the longer full and imp mod). Do you think modified choke would do the job, and till what distance or point would still hit/break the clay? I learn a lot from you great person. God bless you.
Hi roger my name is adam from australia im just giving you an idea for your next video you should do a video on shooting equipment like glasses and if you need blinders for your glasses
Adam...at the moment I am working on a video about shooting glasses ...I don't want the video to be like an advert for a certain brand of glasses ...I am focusing on the colours of the lenses and what they actually do with certain types of backgrounds and orange and black clays...I want the info to be good so I am still 2 or 3 days away from finishing it...that is the second request about glasses ...your question about blinders fascinates me so i will delve into it as deeply as I can...thank you for your interest and I will certainly do the video...stay well ...Roger
What happen to your tip, "always shoot in front of the clay." In this video you don't talk about leading and you instruc viewers to shoot at the bottom of the clay!
Gary...thank you for watching...it is much appreciated...the video is trying to make the point that we need to shoot the clay on the rise...if we shoot it late then we do need to shoot under it because it is falling... yes you are correct we always shoot in front...stay well and thanks again !!!
Your drawings are worth a thousand words
Thank you Kenneth...much appreciated!!!
Hi Roger, thanks for the good diagram on the falling targets. This will help my shooting.
Glad to help and thanks for watching !!!
I've been taking trap shooting more serious lately and watch your videos every time I head out... Thanks !
sal... thank you...all the good shooters are deadly serious once they set foot on that layout...happy shooting and stay well...Roger

Tim...many people would agree with you and also say that with a flatter shooting gun their scores are more consistent.
Very useful Thank You

Hello roger! Can you do a video on your progress and why you think you improved over time, and what the main thing was that made you improve
Will try!
