harr6w...glad the video was useful...in the various videos there are some things on gun mount ...but not a video solely on that subject...but I will do one soon...good on you and stay well!
You brought up a very valid point. I think this is where most shooters be it amateur new guy or even professional or somewhere in between have this issue of focus. The crazy thing is in my own experience some days I go to the trap fields and I'm not really up to it but you know what ... Those end up being some of my best days. And then the days I'm up in spirit I do crap. This is cuz I'm psyching myself out mentally. Distractions distractions some days you end up on the line with all a bunch of newbies, but we've all been there. This really breaks rhythm. When you have a group of guys that are all experienced you can have some amazing results with very little distractions .
Outstanding. Thanks, Roger. Just to brag on myself... a while back I was proud of going from 4/25 to 8/25. Now my best is 75/100 and 21/25. When I get an 85/100 or a 25/25 or three 20+/25 on three consecutive outings, I'm going to invest on that Beretta silver pigeon. I think I will hit one of the above this weekend. I'm putting 400 rounds down the barrel per week. Wish me luck.
Sometimes it's not the amount of rounds you put down the barrel. It's the quality of your actions during practice that makes a difference. but doing it every week is important. I've shot more than 400,000 rounds in the last 40 years and sometimes things go great and sometimes they don't and it's all because of what Rodger says Focus focus focus
Roger i would like to say thanks, because I have increased my scores by tenfold because of you. I had just gotten a new gun in December and shot two personal records on my second and fourth rounds with it and have only shot four with it as of today. Thank you
When I first started shooting a couple months ago I was doing pretty good then I took some lessons & I’m trying so hard to stand right keep my head down etc etc then I actually got worse…😕 I suppose this happens to allot of beginners.
You raise a huge topic. The most important thing to do is to set up your gun so that it shoots where you look...once that is achieved then just let your subconscious do the shooting...it's see bird shoot bird...dont think just shoot it...eventually it will all come together...best wishes ...happy shooting !!!
Thank you, Roger, for these wonderful videos. Your video on eye dominance kept me from quitting the sport. Do you have a video on gun mount
