Stunning day to be on the boat, that last blonde was a beast! I fished a lot with the late Paul Crossman on the BENJOMA out of Penarth, it was always Pennel rigs we would use, it seems frowned upon on the Somerset side of the channel though, everyone seems to use single hooks…2 is better than 1 though I think!💪🏻🙂

Yes we don't get many days like that at sea to give us opportunity to visit the best marks .Paul on the benjoma was well respected by both private and charter vessels. His knowledge was exceptional.tbh we mostly always use pennels when uptiding mostly for bait presentation and keeping it on the hook in the huge tide rips we sometimes anchor in.never had any problems/ we always hit the bites straight away and t bar most fish at tge side unless its a big one for a picture 📸. Thanks for your comment. I'm watching 👀 your Chesil vids at the moment. Thst area is so vast /how on earth do u fish it all .
