    Great vids, have just moved to the Wiltshire area and have been looking at marks to fish. Really like the look of Brean as it is a sandy beach where as a lot of the marks further up are really muddy/rocky. Where about do you access the beach from? Easy Parking?

    • @ianclarkfishing

      Andy Young hi Andy it’s easy fishing. Park on church road In brean opposite the village hall on the grass verge. There is a walk through just to the right of the hall 100 yards to the beach. You can park on the beach until 7pm when they lock the flood gates. Dig bait on the beach fish large baits pick reasonable weather and fish last 3 hours of the flood. Cheers Ian

    • @ianclarkfishing
      @ianclarkfishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Lewis well you have to realise that generally you are using heavy gear to cope with strong tides and casting 6ounce weights 100 yards. Having said that this year we have caught big bass and smoothound which have taken line from our multipliers and given a good scrap. Generally though it’s not about the fight so much as the pleasure from outwitting a wild fish!

      James Mully hi James we have always done that here whereas in Chesil we fish them high. It certainly helps reduce neck ache and doesn’t seem to diminish bite detection. Also they lock the flood gates at 7pm and you will be stranded! So we park on the grass verge opposite the brean town hall on the road running parallel to the beach. First question why are you useing such over used boreing free music with a tune that is heverly used by TH-camrs?
    secondly why are you're rods so low like that?
    And thirdly why are you useing size 1 and 1/0 hooks when you are much bettter off with 2/0 to 6/0 for bigger fish with them sort of rigs your useing

    • @ianclarkfishing
      @ianclarkfishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fisherman and Biker rods are low to avoid neck ache and keep out of the wind. No point using larger hooks for worm baits as caught many large cod on them. Use larger hooks if using squid etc.

I mean you would be much better off with a much bigger hook for incase you latch in to a big cod or bigger fish then you would with small hook of that size. Also having your rods that low being that far away from the water will ruin your line and can end up with sand/mud on the spool of the reel inbeding in the line.
