Wow that's a powerful scene. You look at them and you see them in their clone armour, but then you realise that these aren't the guardians of the Republic anymore. These are stormtroopers now, the Empire's elite. The galaxy is changing.
And that cold robotic movements that the chips caused
Also the way they walk
Really menacing and confident
Second before, you see the storm troopers walking, and is totally different

@@Attmanwart chips are a bullshit cartoon plot. this show fits in more with the films. In AOTC it shows that this is what the clones were bred for, to be cold blooded killers with ultimate loyalty to the Republic - and now the Empire

This flashback takes place a year into the reign of the Empire, so these are still clones for the time being. It is heartbreaking seeing them go from loyal soldiers that would have given their lives to protect these citizens to jackboot thugs that hang all the “rioters” including young Cassian’s father.
Imperial clone troopers are called Stormtroopers.

They're still called Clone Troopers just that now they're Imperial Clone Troopers in new Canon only the TKs were called Stormtroopers.

the empire clapped back hard at former CIS worlds (the OG rebels), and seeing the brainwashed clones carry out atrocities for the empire is very saddening to watch.

Could very well be storm troopers. Clone trooper armour was used for the first couple of years of the empire before being phased out, and this scene was very recent in the empire’s creation. Storm trooper clone trooper call it what you like, may as well be the same
Regular recruited humans never used clone armor (except for Crosshair's squad that one time), they only wore TK trooper armor. Clones were the only ones to regularly wear phase II clone armor in the Empire.

I thought that you were saying stormtroopers as in the exclusively made up of normal human recruits stormtroopers, but now I understand that you just meant the general designation of stormtroopers. In this case, you are correct. During the Dark Times period with the formation of the Empire, the clones were still called clone troopers, BUT they generally progressed into being called clone stormtroopers.

@@retrop1783 They initially acted the same but they aren't the same and never will be. Unlike true stormtroopers, the clones actually we faar more competent and many of them rebelled against the Empire, both in the EU and now in Canon via TBB. They know what they truly are and what they really fought for while Stormtroopers were just regular humans trying to make ends meet so the empire was their only way, to them, to do that. Clones felt a bigger, more noble purpose than any average Stormtrooper. That's what sets them apart and why they even both still using clone armor and not Stormtrooper armor from the beginning. There's a big difference, both narratively and emotionally, when you've watched the entire story of the clones up until now with The Bad Batch and beyond
Their "Clone-Stormtroopers" now their no longer good kind hearted soldiers with individuality anymore like we all knew them, I do agree it's heart-breaking seeing them go from loyal soldiers not guardians of the Galactic Republic, these are clone humans soldiers, any birth-born recruits should show leadership and strategic thinking were cloned, marching along side the normal clones we love.
But their the Empire's elite perfect soldiers they had their individuality taken off them even their colours of what legion they belong too, and now go by their number-names instead given nicknames.
It's just very, very sad.
Ofc for the scene itself it doesnt matter but them being clones is just that much impacting for the fans who knew the significance.

No its definitely Empire because of the human officer leading the clones instead of Jedi and they said long live the Republic due to the Empire taking full control but the citizens desire the Republic instead

@@TkayRobloxx you are getting it wrong, imperial stormtroopers was the recruits of regular people with a different armor. Clone troopers are clones from kamino that have different armor, the early stage of stormtroopers are shown in bad batch. It doesn't matter if it's after order 66, clones stayed as clones.

Those are clone troopers. Clones were still used by the start of the empire, stormtroopers were the new army that replaced the clone army. Republic names for things like the venator, gunships, clone troopers, stuff like that was still used just not the name republic, only empire. Dont know where people keep getting the idea of clones being stormtroopers from when stormtroopers were the ones who replaced the clones
The entire plot of Star Wars Battlefront II is literally clone stormtroopers continuing to fight for the Empire in TK armor.

The Clone Troopers are the ultimate cautionary tale against rampant militarism. The first planets "conquered" by the Empire were the actual Republic planets. But nobody realized it then. Well, a few wise Senators, maybe.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLONES & STORMTROOPERS
Don’t believe? Did you watch the Bad Batch? Why did the directors of the Bad Batch series distinguish them very well & several times? Why is it CANON in the first place? Why are Clones treated differently than others? Are you implying that the Directors is making BS for what they made in their work to distinguish them? They made the shows. Not the fans. They did
SPOILERS below if you haven’t watched the Bad Batch & Rebels series
Clones
1) Age faster than anyone else
2) Superior & Efficient than recruited bodies
3) Look all the same with different personalities. They’re all literally brothers
4) Clones remain wearing their armor to show they still exist
5) Only VERY FEW Clones still serve under Vader’s 501st Legion & as 1st Gen Armored Purge troopers
6) They were decommissioned after the war. Untrustworthy after committing genocide & too expensive to produce
7) Not a single imperial personnel in any movie & show has ever called a Clone “Stormtrooper”
8) They’re treated as property & not actual beings. Unlike the Jedi who did treat them as equals & indoctrinated individualism
9) Senator Riyo Chuchi & other Senators fought for “Clone Rights”
10) Clones were being experimented by Dr. Hemlock without their consent cuz again they’re seen as “property”. Not done towards the TK troopers aka “Stormtroopers”
11) Captain Rex, a Clone trooper (in Rebels series), even said “I hope you brought a better class of soldier than those Stormtroopers”
12) The only ones with the inhibitor chip designed to wipe out all the Jedi but eventually wore off & gradually returned to their former selves due to no Jedi in sight for a long period
Stormtroopers
1) Comprised of natural born human beings. Those who willingly volunteered to be part of the Empire
2) Never used Clone armor
3) They have their own armor & were called TK troopers
4) Palpatine & his associates threw Vice Admiral Rampart, an imperial officer under the bus. Pinned the blame as a rogue element when he ordered the destruction of Tipoca City on Kamino wiping out an entire civilization. Then Palpatine added that the Clones under Rampart’s command blindly followed the order inflicting such carnage. Therefore, the Defense Recruitment Bill was passed & convinced the Senate that they need that change more than ever. Sacrifice freedom for better security. Can’t trust their own military (The Clones) to protect them after committing genocide. Thus allowed them to approve for the Stormtrooper program. Furthering prejudice/hate towards the Clones cuz of that very reason.
Example: Lt. Nolan, an imperial officer & CO of Crosshair. Kept being disgusted seeing Clones & kept calling them “Clone”. Even said that “I don’t like used equipment”
5) Project War Mantle (mentioned by Tarkin) is specifically designed to further the Stormtrooper program/initiative
6) Cheap cost
7) Get salary unlike Clones
8) Not loyal to each other unlike Clones. People who ditch their own & consider anyone & everyone expendable with no sense of care

@@numeitor7075 I did say a few, didn’t I? Some still are. Just not numerous/all which is still safe to say they’re not Clones. Fine if you want to call them that but in my case, only if it’s under Vader’s 501st Legion & the 1st generation armored purge troopers. Not when Vader is present in some areas of the garrison. What I mean by garrison as in the troops stationed or assigned to a planet, city, etc. under different imperial officers in different units/groups are not Clones cuz they’re not moving around with Vader or aren’t wearing 1st gen black armor & a red visor.
Like having different class sections/batches but mixing/merging together in some circumstances. But in this scene of the film, those are still Clones in Mark II Clone armor. In which case, they’re still in the process of being phased out

Explain why change is necessary if the Clones under Rampart’s command blindly followed orders? That’s like you’re blamed for it but not? Explain why "decommissioned" is a thing for them Clones? Explain why a Bad Batch episode is named "Replacements"? Explain why Clone Commander Mayday wondering & asking about the "New armor" for the shiny new military and they get the scrapes? How does that make sense to you? Directors' choice, not mine. Why create shows and scenes that contradicts in the first place? Are you implying the Directors actually made BS then? That they didn't do the research before making the show? That's more or less what you're saying here. Not to mention, the Kenobi series/show, did you not see that 1 Clone begging for credits to Kenobi and there's stormtroopers walking around the area? Shouldn't he be in a Stormtrooper armor? Isn't that against Empire regulations by then already? Improper attire. Does that look like the imperials want him in service still? What happened to being a "property" of the Empire? Why is he not jailed or killed for being off duty by the Empire? How is the Clone on break if he's literally begging on the streets? When you take breaks from your job, do you do that as well?

Hell I can even sign up/register and put the details myself to impose my beliefs. Don't complain if got replaced sooner or later or until somebody can and will create another topic of his/her own. And other users may see that first before anything else. Things come and go in different ways, not everyone gets the same thing when looking up stuff on their own.
All I've said have proven otherwise. Just cuz you have that quote of yours doesn't mean it's true especially without backing it up. And you only got 1 vs many I've stated. Believing that is like taking orders without question. Like Trump saying COVID-19 is just a flu that can be swept away with ease and we're in no immediate danger. So you just happen to believe one person saying that above all others who have said otherwise and that are well proven by the experts. So who're the experts here? Shouldn't it be the Directors? Again, why did they made these things in the first place in their work to do so?

@ultrabrian8151sure in terms of role. But they are still Clones TKs are stormtroopers. The only instance where we see normal humans in clone armor is season 1 of bad batch with Cross hairs squad. That's it. We have no confirmation or depictions that those are conskrpts in Clone armor. Those are Clone troopers.

Bad Batch showed that StormTroopers never wore white clone armour. The first group of civilian troopers wore a black coloured clone armour set instead, before making the change to the first phase of TK armour. So these are very much all Clone Troopers, and not stormtroopers.
Haven’t watched this show yet, but are those what remain of clone troopers or are stormtroopers in clone trooper armor?
This scene depicts the earliest days of the Galactic Empire after the fall of the Republic, those are Imperial Stormtroopers in Phase Two Clone Armor. Most of them are likely clones that turned to Stormtroopers after Order 66.

Incorrect. They are Imperial *clone troopers, as the Bad Batch continues to emphasize. Big difference here. There's a reason why they still have the clone armor, and it's not just because they haven't phased them out yet. It's to show that clones are still around and still there. They have a bigger thematic meaning to them and always will. And as The Bad Batch further depicts, Proto-Stormtrooper & Stormtrooper armor comes along but that's when ONLY regular humans wear them and the clones are all decommissioned--given nice retirement benefits and the like.

@@powerhourcollective They aren't, Clone Troopers retained their CT designation for their entire existence. The Bad Batch explores this transition into detail.
@ultrabrian8151 well, Palpatine ordered the clone-program to be shut down after the first clone insurgencies. So it has been shown that CT's never transitioned into TK's. All the clones received their stand down orders and were sent to retirement.

There is an episode where Emperor Palpatine specifically announces the replacement of clones with Imperial Stormtroopers, and those are TK units who were trained by remaining Clone Commandos and other instructors all around the empire. These Clone Troopers shown here cannot be called Stormtroopers, because the Emperor himself differentiates them.
