Good to see you doing RC reviews again Tigger; always enjoy the way you enjoy yourself ... even when crashing :-) Keep your reviews coming as they are both entertaining and practical. Fpv on this one worked pretty well!
Happy to see you back Jimmy McQuad. :-) You seem to be the only reviewer decent enough to include the somewhat important detail of the true all-up flying weight. Thank you kindly!
oh my you dont know what you dont know, after surviveing a stroke in august 2020 about the time this video posted, and not long after a damaged ipad i lost track of you tigger, didnt even remember you at all till just today when this video appeared on my fone, crazy welcome back ha ha actualy not funny our lives are so fragile, fly every chance you get im now 73 just bought another xk x450
Thank you for your review. I was looking at this as a transition tool from drones to planes. It appears to be exactly what I was looking for and at a price point that I can't refuse. Appreciate the time you took to make this video and show that even if I break the nose off is repairable and back in the air.
Just a brilliant return !!! :) :) Proper "Dad" flying - love it !!! Singularly the best advert for the product, they should pay you for that and use it in their advertising "The worst that can happen is you stuff it up - then it flies again" now THATS an advert !!
I have the Eflite Maule M7 and the XK 520. I've never flown a fixed plane before so I'm practicing on a simulator, and slowly improving my skills..Nice flight my friend! During that crash, you litterly had me shouting; turn it off, turn it off, before those motors go bad ..lol... frightening!
Nice to see another Tigger review. You certainly gave it your usual through tests. When it all goes squirrelly in 3D press the red button again ;) It usually (but not always) saves a WoS. _This is the only thing I've flown since I became to ill too walk to any of my usual flying fields_
It has a barometer altifude hold, turn too sharp you can lose lift and it falls out the sky, surprised the tail's fell off did you screw them in to start with. It soo fast in both multirotor and plane mode. I Have one as my first flyer apart from ten minutes with a micro contra rotor heli which lasted ten minutes until I crashed into the ceilinf fan then my Greyhound jumped on it and finished the destruction of it, so having 8+ 5th scale gas truck's and buggies and a couple of electric. You have an emergency stop set up, if LED's flash bring it close to home, it has a auto take off and landing mode.
This plane is amazing. It looks very easy for take-off, is no need to throw it as at usual planes. It looks also very stable for FPV, not a lot of bouncings at camera. I saw some reviews for this plane, but you are first who putted on also FPV camera. What is for me most interesting at this plane. Cos as I said it looks to be very stable flyer what is great for FPV. Great job. (Y) Great review. (Y) Could be great Black Friday purchase. :)
i have this csj x8 battle wolf drone, not a great camera but a fast powerfull drone so fun to fly, i swear it looks to do about 50mph, but the proprietary batteries puffed, i can not find this drone to buy another, so ill attempt to open battery plastic cases and replace the cells
Wow... you transitioned really well! Impressed! This one looks Cool. One thing though... I never crash. 🤥😝🤣 You were bringing up what you’ve been up to. I for one am interested, my friend. Please tell. ????
Mine crashed 4 times during the maiden flight. Both ailerons broke off, the left servo arm broke, the right servo motor broke and one prop broke off. Replacement parts have a 4-6 week ship time. This plane is much more fragile than the X520 and it's prone to stalls in airplane mode. Vertical mode is basically a death sentence. It seems to fly better than the E-flite Convergence but my advice would be to only fly it over tall foliage to cushion the crashes or save your money and stick with the X520. We're going to see more of this concept but for now I think the Eachine VWhoop 90 is a better design.
Blizofoz45 You made me look up the Eachine BWhoop 90. It looks like a styrofoam quadcopter. Not a plane. If you want a safe easy to fly almost plane try the parrot swing. It has a barometric sensor,/sonic sensor for perfect altitude hold. Very short range/height (40 meters). Must fly in very calm wind (less than 5 km). I’m a Quadcopter/drone person (50+ quadcopters) The x450 looks too fast and has too much range for a nonplane person. I would inevitably fly it into a tree or building or into the ground.. You can’t drop the throttle and let it fall like most drones or let off the sticks and have it hover like a drone with gps/altitude hold. If I lived in the desert I’d buy one.
@@gimpman1357 Look up the Blade Inductrix Switch Air and you'll understand what I'm saying a little better. It's rear props have to be manually tilted---servos on multirotor flight control boards seems to be rocket science in this hobby. Since my 450 is pretty much toast I've thought about just using the one working servo to rotate the motors. With variable thrust you don't need a physical rudder and I'm thinking you don't necessarily need ailerons either.
Blizofoz45 That’s a Quadcopter attached to a wing. If I was to get into planes I’d start building up my skills with something like the Qf008 Boeing 787 from banggood for $40. The x450 would be my 3rd or 4th plane. PS. I was thinking of buying the x450 but now I know not to. I will stick with what I know.
Happy to see a new "warts and all" slightly rusty Tigger review, where have you been all year? This turned into an extreme durability test didn't it? 🤣 But with what with kind of drone/controller setup do you push the right stick forward to ascend? I didn't think you ever used mode 1? 🤔
A purr-fect Tigger review : honest about the mostly worthless vertical mode, good detail about the different inputs for airplane mode, the willingness to try things out and explain the process, popping on the fp video, and the pure joy that comes through the whole experience. It's so nice to have you back in whatever time you have available 👍 *_here's a reminder to make a "what I've been doing" video_*
Look what I found a 10% discount voucher "BGVTOL" yaaay XK X450 VTOL Plane: bit.ly/2nAvAtQ
Good to see you back Tigger - we've all missed you
Just picked one up new in the box off marketplace for $50, really enjoying it
It’s been ages since I watched your channel.....good to see you are still flying and trying anything!!!!

This is what I love about tigger's reviews, they are honest and you will try anything rc.
😱 At 3:30 the problem of pitching down simultaneously & pushing upward is exactly the Boeing MX 737 OMG 😱

fpv on your own, and flying near and around powerlines. what a hero. bet you don't do the caa registration either

The two unattached fins are secured by one small screw on each side (provided with the driver in the extra parts bag).

One of my favorite RC reviewers. :)

This thing takes a betting!! Thanks for showing how much this thing will take.good job with this review!
Yep it sure does! And most of the "betting" is on how long before 1 of those servos strip and send it Kamikaziing in!
Great video I was wondering how long it would be before you put a camera on it. Nice job..
You my friend have some of the nicest spots to fly (wee bit jealous) been watching for couple years love channel

Welcome back chum. Great looking plane that has certainly peeked my interest :)
Yo tigger mate nice to see your well , thinking about adding this to the hanger .. about time we get a proper tigger review again 👍👍😉😉

Looks like fun! It was cool in FPV👍
Hope all is well with you Tigger👋

you should watch the RC Saylors to see what can really be done with it

What is the difference between mode 1 and mode 2?
You didn't put the screws in that hold the tailfins
You try to give the video more brightness it will be great if you do
Seems to me that that rear fins are not even necessary. What do you think?
Your back! cool i missed your videos
Who's idea was it to switch the sticks around?
Best price on ebay now 👌🏻
That was an awesome review! Too bad they are out of stock :_(

Trust you to be different. Get a ready -to-fly then turn it into a kit!
I am buying one of these babies :-) Then a nice glider too, Hehehehehehe!!!
That's a cracking little model, must have a look at getting one😎👍
What sort of range, flight time? 😎👍
Fantastic video...!
Very cool, thank you.
great!
