Oh my god I'm gonna stop watching this, or my money will escape from my wallet again...this is too beautiful, but I think the biggest factor that makes it beautiful is your twist on this beast. You really have great taste in music and your arrangement is awesome. I'm really indulge into this, just watching is an aural and visual enjoyment.
Beautiful and really immersing ! I just recently purchased a Polybrute; it's my very first analog synthesizer and the first time I switched it on, I spent 8 hours with playing it...
I always come back to this piece; it's really moving and inspiring when I sit down to write - as, each time I listen, I feel like I'm taken on a wee journey. Thanks Jay!
@@ycnakajsph For me she would have to be an amazing girlfriend to limit my synth choices. I could easily make room for more synths with cutting out a girlfriend.
great video and the on-screen notes were very helpful. The Polybrute is definitely a pleasure to play, more so than any other synth I've ever owned so tactile and sensory, at times it becomes an almost meditative experience. Love the random patch generation feature too for the random directions it can take you and inspiration
Thx for this sharing. from castel in the sky to Origin BO, taste so great. thx for record this pure moment of beauty. you are an angel bro! thanks for being , with us too🙏
You are making relatively little polyphony go a long way here. I think that limitations really spark creativity. The Matriarch is the best example of that in my studio. What an absolute gem. It’s an all-time classic.
Amazing stuff as always Jay, you definitely took us on a joruney with this one. I very much enjoyed it and didn't realise that I kind of needed it. Thank you 💙
Very nice Video, like always! Its a long time ago, that a synthesizer put tears in my eyes and give me goosebumps. This one does it...I have got mine today and it will replace my beloved Andromeda A6. But I will still keep the A6 :-) Again Thank you very much for this cool video...
@@shane864 Yeah, with its complexity that does feel more accurate! It replaced the Juno as one of my dream synths, so I may have been projecting that a bit 😅 What a beautiful instrument nonetheless!
@@sebastianmuzeja6516 I have a JP8 and a 60 and a bunch of other rare stuff, this sounds like it could replace most of it. I haven’t used one yet but the minibrute and matrixbrute definitely had that vintage soul to the sound, it was the build quality that was questionable. If the y worked that out this could easily be a top tier synth. I’m looking forward to hearing and feeling it in person.
Beautiful stuff Jay! I’m absolutely loving mine, and find it makes a great partner for the Matriarch! Hope to see more of you with this beast, all the best my friend!
It can’t be compared to the Minilogue which is a toy compared to this one. A fantastic toy, don’t make me wrong. But the Arturia is a bottomless well of creativity and inspiration. Like the Summit I guess 😄
I just bought one of your albums. I can't believe how much music you get done, I don't understand it Jay. If you work full time as well as doing this you are some kind of fkn magician as far as I'm concerned.
I have never seen this synth...stunning design...superb playing......I have just got a Micro freak...took me a while to get used to as it is my first synth but I am loveing it and the unique sounds you can make....
Really nice jam. Incredible sounds, a joy to listen too. The PolyBrute is on my list, yet since I am just starting down the synth path, I have a couple of other smaller synths ahead of it.
I finally succumbed and got a Polybrute to compliment my Matriarch and Pro 3 SE. Wow.. what an instrument. Endlessly inspiring. Arturia created something truly special with the Polybrute.
I think Polybrute is a super super complex synth, endless possibilities, extremely strong functions and sounds insane. The only thing that I dislike is it’s price…which is not Arturia’s problem, it’s my problem 😂
splendid. Love that vibrato movement - though thats probably oversimpliying that modulation. I guess thats using aftertouch. Lovely. One of these days Im just going to have to stop buying low to mid-range synths and get myself a beast like this.
It's too common to have youtube music on in the background, and hear something that makes me check to see who the artist is, to find that it is Jay Hosking again.
Jay, this is as wonderful as the first jams on your channel that caught my attention, where you melted Matriarch's sound and the sub37 into a beautiful composition! How did you achieve this lovely stereo effect on this track? Is it built into the polybrute or did you add this afterwards in production?
Built into the polybrute. The term usually used by manufacturers is "pan spread", which just means that each voice of the polybrute is panned into a different spot in the stereo field. One cool thing on the polybrute is that you can also control the spread of the filters. There's also a stereo delay and reverb for a little more space. And thanks!
"So much to say about it's features..the this/that/other and the skateboard.." ( frantically looks for skateboard...sees "skateboard" graphic in lower left corner...search over) Classic Jay ❤
How do you like it compared to your Moog One? I've really wanted this synth, but the two pieces of hardware I've gotten from Arturia so far have both had issues.
The PolyBrute is truly a joy to explore. For pure exploration purposes, I'm currently enjoying it more than the One. It's a really well thought out and designed synth. For the end results, the two synths different but equal quality, and that's really a preference for sound types.
With all those glorious controls everywhere , I doubt you could make a module version much smaller than it currently is . Might as well take advantage of the space with the limousine keybed and extra bells whistles and mini-bar . It's definitely in the right hands sir .

amazing synth, but what really caught my attention is the amount of emotion your playing carries, beautiful stuff man.
I second that.
I dont know when last time I was so hooked into jam session, great job!
I listen to this so much, its a masterpiece
Ugh. I was perfectly happy not wanting a PolyBrute, but now there's this! Now I have to rethink everything!
I've wanted it since day one, but kind of forget about it since this... But GF won't allow that big of a synth in the flat anyway!
@@ycnakajsph time for either a) a new flat b) a new girlfriend. I hope she will be happy in her new life. :-)
