    Thank you very much! I was wondering the differences between notification and alert options. This makes things clear.

    The great thing in this this video is that you put a lot of known tips together.

      @@Simpletivity Not a specific one. I already know all of them, but I loved to see the way you put all together in the video.

    Great video, In my case so I don't miss any meeting I set the alarm in my Apple Watch for each meeting I have. I want the alarm as it rings till I actually see it and stop it, as I get many notifications and got used to ignore them. Would be great to make an integration between Google Calendar and Apple Watch's Alarm, or similar. If you know how to do it, let me know.

    This was a great vidio. on my iPhones Google Calendar (Settings to General) I do not see "Notifications" Section. Not do I see "Notify on this device" ?? Can you tell me how to get that to populate?

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The way notification settings are handled for apps on iPhone has changed a bit, and it's not directly accessible within the individual app itself like it might have been in the past. Here's how to find and manage Google Calendar notifications on your iPhone:
      Open your iPhone's Settings app.
      Scroll down and tap on "Calendar". This is where you'll find all the notification settings for the Google Calendar app.

    Good video. Thank you. I wish Google would enable notifications more than 28 days/4 weeks in advance. Irksome for people with deadlines that span many months or years.

      You can kind of work around it by creating a Task, they can be pre scheduled without limit and also show on your calendar

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thank you so much! Question: I want to send a reminder to someone who has accepted a weekly event. I have an email notification set 3 days before for a reminder. For some reason, it only emails ME, the creator, NOT the person who has accepted the event. I've gone through every setting I can think of but can't get it to send them a reminder email. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Google Calendar does not send email notifications for events to participants by default unless they have specifically opted in to receive reminders themselves. The notifications you configure (like the 3-day email reminder) only apply to you as the event creator.

    • @abbyr3423
      @abbyr3423 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much! It would be great if they would develop the option for anyone tied to an event to get the reminder. I appreciate the reply!

    The notification settings you showed for your device doesn't exist on iphone. I can add or edit notifications but I don't see a setting to allow the settings on the device (and all of the other options that accompanied that choice). How does one do that for iphone?

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This may be a limitation on iPhones. Apple likes to 'lock-down' and limit more settings compared to Android.

    I have selected a specific sound on my iPhone 13 to play for my google calendar, but it is not playing the sound I selected! How can I match the sounds on my iPhone ipad and computer to be the SAME "SPELL" for the calendar notification?

    I want to send an email reminder from google calendar to remind a client of an appointment. The client has three appointments set during the month. When I set up the notification to send the email reminder two days before the appointment, it sends a separate email for every appointment the client has that month. That is, the client receives three separate emails all at the same time even though two of the appointments are further away than two days. How do I fix this so the client gets the email reminder for each appointment two days before each one, not all of them at one time?

    Don't see a way to have the notifications for receiving an invite or sending one be something other than an email. This is sorely needed! (Or needs explaining). If I don't use my gmail for email the notifications for this are muted, even though I use google calendar.

    I am still not getting any pop up notifications :( only the sound notification 10 minutes before an event, but not a pop up notification.

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Make sure you allow these notifications from your browser or desktop. When turning this on, you should receive a prompt from your computer shortly after.

    I went from a Samsung Galaxy (where I used to use my google calendrer and was able to set my personal notifications so that the SOUND repeated if I did not swipe on the event) to the Google Pixel Pro 8. I cannot figure out how to do the same on this new phone! So frustrating! HELP!!

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately, Google Calendar doesn't have a native feature to persistently repeat notification sounds until you acknowledge them. But here is a workaround to give you a similar experience:
      In your Google Calendar settings, try extending the notification sound duration.
      Go to Settings in Google Calendar.
      Tap on General.
      Select Notifications.
      Choose Calendar Notifications or a specific calendar.
      Tap on Sound and pick a longer notification tone.
