I am definitely going to change my tranny to just 1 qt of atf, and fill the rest way of the way up with the pennzoil. Kills me at the track with that rough shift! Bad enough controlling the tire spin. Thanks for the heads up.
Im looking at getting a gt500 a 09 possibly. How do you install wide bands? Also it looks as if it uses two belts. How hard are those to change? Seems to be lots of hoses everywhere. How about accessing the alternator. On the 4.6 it's front and center and super easy.
I'll have the links posted below. I actually have some videos of those subjects you mentioned. Link 1 will be the wideband install. Link 2 will be the accessory and blower belt install. I have never replaced the alternator, but getting to it from the bottom doesn't look too horrible. @@OctaneSlain thanks lots I love mustang guy's. I'm have a supercharged 4.6 right now and looking at the 07 to 09 gt500s. I love working on my own cars. Started as wanting to save money on labor now I just enjoy doing projects.
I bought a low mile 2007 GT500. I had to upgrade / replace: Clutch Shocks & struts Upper and lower control arms Upper control arm mounts OEM radio w 6-disc changer I will change out the other stuff you mentuoned. Thx

Track Pack also came with 3.73 but you're right, good gear ratio is probably the most overlooked thing and yet the most effective for the money.
My partner has an Eaton TrueTrac in his '07. It's something I've considered down the line because the 3.31's feel like me with no coffee at 5am

Agree with the 10 model. I've got one, and enjoy it. Looking for a 2.3 supercharger to keep it as close to oem.
For what it is worth, my 2010 was built early November, 2009 with a 3:55 axle ratio from the factory.

My oem 6 disc cd took a Sh-t also needs to be replaced
