I’m all for Baroque but when you have an instrument like yours you sing Alcina, Cleopatra and Rodelinda and then you move on to what will get you in the hall of fame, because you do deserve to be there and we deserve to hear it from you. Bit of Mozart to showcase the beautiful timbre and coloratura frenzy..Donna Anna, definitely Konstanze. A bit of Bellini say Amina and Elvira. A touch of French coloratura, say a Lakme or Ophelie. Then on to juicy stuff Violetta and Lucia.. and then when the time and they sit well perhaps a go at heavier repertoire Bolena, Stuarda, Semiramide.. Pretty please 🙏🏼
For no reason, i seem to only enjoy baroque operas. I also think that in these times, baroque operas are gaining more popularity than classical era or romantic era operas .
