New SERA Six Axle Genset Switching Intermodal Container Cars & Grain Hoppers At Oakdale - G Scale

Follow along as I show two Sierra Northern Genset switcher locomotives switching intermodal container and grain hoppers on my g scale layout. Switcher #3450 is my newest locomotive. This is a six axle Genset built on an SD40-2 frame. This locomotive is modeled after Sierra Northern prototype six axle switchers #894 & 895. The two switchers featured in this program are still in their Union Pacific colors as are the prototype Gensets purchased and operated by Sierra Northern. Some of their locos have “SERA” painted on the cabs or number boards, which is the case for the four axle Genset in this video. This video comes with locomotive sounds, sounds of couplers slapping together and air brakes being set, all from the Railpro control module in the locomotives. We had some rp20ds down here in Houston.....im sure they look nice but they were the biggest piles. Great idea but everything you could think of needed improvement with them.

I just looked at a bunch of your videos and realized you should do a video doing a tour of your full layout on your property overhead and not just showing your engines running the sections of the layout. That way people can see what the whole layout looks like!!!!
