Hugh is well hnown all over the world as being one of the Original Sons Of The Pioneers. He is recognized by musicians everywhere as being one of the greatest fiddle players of all times. It was an Honor when this fine gentleman consented to come out of semiretirement and appear with us at the Hying X Chuchwagon.

Jim Blanton
Jim grew up on a farm at Blanket, Texas during the "hard times”
of the 1930's. He learned to play old time music on the fiddle and guitar during those years, and developed a great respect for the small western musical groups of that time. In more recent years, Jim has become interested in singing as well as playing fiddle and guitar. He sings baritone, yodels and M. C.'s the show at the Hying X.
Floyd Luker
Floyd grew up in Brownwood,Texas and sings the lead part in the
group. In addition to his talent as a singer he also plays the big bass fiddle. Floyd developed an interest in music at the age of eleven.As a hobby he hand crafts violins and electric guitars. We at the Flying X feel that we are fortunate to have such a fine entertainer in the group.
J. D. Blanton
J. D. sings tenor and plays rhythm guitar with the group. Listening to the record you will hear him hit the high notes so important in a group of this kind. J. D. is also a fine horseman and does some ranching in his spare time when he is not appearing on the stage of the Hying X Chuckwagon. We know you will enjoy hearing J. D. on this album especially on "Along the Santa Fe Trail."
