A quartet that could sing almost anything and make it sound great! And Joe Bonsall was a huge part of it! RIP Joe!
In 1983 I was i young guy working in truck stop on midnights. On lunch break 3:30 a m . Joe Bonsall played a couple of games of Joust with me, got a picture and everyone signed it for my wife. I only spent 30 minutes around Mr Bonsall, vut it was long enough to know that he was a true gentleman thak you for a memory
I met him in person and Las Vegas backstage. My husband’s daughter was married to Dewey Deaux who played saxophone in the band. All of them were very nice. Joe brought so much happiness to so many people it will be forever remembered.
My mom died a year ago . She had the biggest crush on Joe . Now she'll finally get to meet him .😍

Mine too! R.I.P Joe.❤
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Joe. I've been an Oak Ridge Boys fan since their beginning. ❤
I’ve seen the Oaks probably 8 or 9 times over the years, and Joe was fearless to testify of his love for Christ. His passing is sad for us, but there’s joy in Heaven tonight as he is welcomed into his heavenly home!
R.I.P. Joe, you maybe gone but your voice and music will go on forever.
I saw the Oaks in concert 4 times. It is hard to believe there could be anything that could have slowed Joe down. He was always jumping and moving around the stage while singing his heart out. Joe, you will surely be missed down here and welcomed with arms open wide in Heaven.
Joe Bonsall,Toby Keith, Rusty Golden and all the greats are singing with the ANGELS in HEAVEN 😢😢😢. Till we all meet again

RIP another piece of American folk music.
Yes, Sir,
It certainly is , and I miss these times so very much and especially all of the people who are gone now that I enjoyed it with. I guess I do fear aging, though I am just 61, so much change, along with the loss of most of my family, really gets me down often, though I try not to dwell it was my entire childhood.
I love hearing the Oak Ridge Boys. Fly high Joe and sing at the throne of our Lord and Savior. You will be missed
I do too. Loved the Oak Ridge Boys ❤
I've had a lot of chances to meet him, even when his health was on the decline. He's one of the greatest country artists. Not unlike a lot of others. Because Joseph S Bonsall, will always be an Oak Ridge Boy, a friend & a brother. With love Joseph.
I'm saddened that THE REAL SINGERS ...are leaving us ...😢 this was bonified SINGING and such a joy to hear!! Can't wait to HEAR THE HEAVENLY CHOIR SING 😍
God bless you all ...know you've DONE WELL and are missed.
Till we meet ☝️☝️☝️

Oh no…. I saw him in concert had front row seat. He came up to me and shook my hand several times along with the other members. He was such a nice man the whole group was and they played their number one hit songs! They ended the concert singing “Elvira.” In fact we were the last ones out because we were so close to the stage I was able to set my phone up on the stage while I was dancing and swaying back & forth to their music! They came out after the concert & talked to us the lead singer to Exile who is best know for the hit song "I Want To Kiss You All Over" is married to the lead singer of The Oak Ridge Boys so we also got their autograph! I was so close I got great pictures too! What a great loss to Classic Country Music. It seems like we are losing all the Great Ones.Awe....now this really makes me cry as it was stated about Joe Bonsall "But JESUS and his family always came first-and we will see him again on the Promised Day.” Believe me I saw him in concert up close you could "see" Jesus in him! You really could!
July 2024 watched Joe joined the angels and having a little talk with Jesus.
Rest in peace 🙏 🎉
Love and blessings to the Oak Ridge family ❤🎶. Solid Americans 🇺🇸
When I was Sheriff I was fortunate along my wife to spend 15 minutes alone with my wife. So kind original and common. Rest in peace Joe. God bless them all.

RIp Joe Bonsall 🙏
Rest In Peace, Joe. I've loved you and the Oak Ridgel Boys since I was 12 years old.
I'm 54 years old now and 42 years later, and it still feels like the first time when I hear an inconic Oak Ridge Boys song. Fan for Life!❤

RIP...This brings sadness to my heart. I am not a big concert goer, but I saw these 4 more than any other performers. I saw them in Chicago for the first time in 1979 at Chicagofest. After that, I saw them 4-5 times at the Holiday Star Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana on New Years Eve. They used to come down to the Jolly Gingers Lounge and mingle with fans. God Bless all of them.
Great venue now gone too.
My heart is broken😢 RIP Joe, you will be missed 🙏🏻💜🎶
RIP Joe Bonsall. I met his parents when I installed CATV in their home in Philly. They were wonderful people.
I am so sad...Heaven is rejoicing with his coming home. Looking forward to meeting him up there someday soon!
Rest In Peace Joe. "I Guess It Never Hurts To Hurt Sometimes" ❤🙏🎶
Such another great song
Every Saturday, when my mom would do her weekly cleaning of the living room, she would turn on her phonograph record player that she bought in the 1950's. One of the records that she played was the Oak Ridge Boys greatest hits. Blessed be her memory, Mr Bonsal's, and my sister's memories. So glad that they both saw the Oak Ridge Boys in concert in St Cloud MN!
God bless you guys. You all have been dealing with a lot of heartache lately.🙏☝️💓😥
When Joe died, so did the music. The Boys had a unique sound that will never be duplicated. Also, no one sings 'I'd Rather Have Jesus' as good as Golden. He sings it with conviction, and no one else comes close.
RIP Joe. God bless his family and the Oak Ridge Boys. 🙏🙏
Rip Joseph Sloan Bonsall Jr, you will be missed
Icons of my youth. Thanks for the tunes Joe. Rest in peace.

Joe Bonson will be missed by the music that he made and recorded.
These men were all so gracious for those who came to their concerts. I feel totally blessed to have seen them at Schroeder Hall. I loved his interaction with his beautiful yellow cat that he loved so much (and vice versa). Blessings to his family for peace and love.
Me and my wife patty met Joe getting of his tour bus at the same hotel we were staying at in north Georgia. Great man. We will miss his great voice. Praising his heavenly father now.
There’s a high tenor voice around the Throne of God worshipping Jesus! I sure will miss him. But will see him soon!

Thank you Joe for sharing your talent is a great sing tenor singer, for sharing your love for Jesus Christ, for sharing your love southern gospel music. You’ve touched Megan so people throughout the years that you’ve thought you’ve been singing with the Oak Ridge boys and the other two groups that you sang with. I can honestly say that I believe that you’re in the arms of Jesus on the day of your passing and took your first breath in those heavenly realms singing in the choir. I loved listening to you sing with your tenor voice. You were among the great city of the gospel singers that had a beautiful tenor voice your range was amazing !!! Rest in peace Joe, you’re with Jesus and the other great singers that are there in heaven with you. My prayers go out to his family, friends and to the Oak Ridge boys. I pray that God will wrap them in His arms and give them peace and comfort in their hearts today.
