Sonic unleashed's CGI was so good if they made unleashed into a movie just imagine how f cool it would be actually i think we already have atleast 1 hour of CDI
I'm surprised you didn't cover that infamous "yelling CGI Sonic face" thing that fans saw during early previews before the game was released, which got fixed in the released version. It spawned some memes but also was used as thumbnail bait to lure angry Sonic fans.
I remember one of the reasons as to why the werehog was so controversial (back when the whole game was controversial) was that people claimed Sonic Team "ran out of ideas" and decided to make Sonic turn into a werehog at night. They clearly haven't if they made Sonic fight a knight, save some powerful aliens, master parkour, and team up with a player-made character in a lot of future titles.
Something I think should’ve been on there is that Amy asks sonic on a date at the end of the game which you can say yes or not to that might have gotten a callback at the end of black knight when Amy gets pissed at sonic for missing their date. I think it’s possible considering black knight was literally the next game right after unleashed
Btw, In first episode of TailsTube, made by the official Sonic TH-cam channel, Tails said that humans and the mobians live in fact in the same world. Mobians live in small islands, while humans live on big contenants.
This was my first 3D Sonic game so it holds a special place in my heart. However, I didn't beat the game until I got a memory card for my PS2. It's a long game but the final boss and ending is totally worth it. Also, the opening cutscene is freaking beautiful omg

My headcanon of how sonic got Dark Gaia powers. (Btw this is gonna be really long) DG woke up way ahead of schedule, meaning it barely had any energy. Dark Gaia used to the Chaos power thrown at him by Eggman to try and sustain itself. At this point sonic was still linked with the emeralds while DG was awakening so, Sonic, the Emeralds, and DG were linked thru chaos. Chaos emeralds and their power can operate remotely. Sonic transferred enough power to Shadow and Silver for them transform despite them not being in direct contact with the the emeralds. (This could also explain how Sonic Manifested chaos energy thru a fake emerald 🤔) DG took the emerald power (draining the emeralds) AND the Excess Chaos that was still in Sonic from his recent transformation. During this Chaos Resonance, while DG used Chaos, and Sonic’s leftover chaos to wake up, DG’s energy was transferred into sonic to fill the energy vacuum from the suddenly absent chaos power. Which explains why it looked like Sonic was having a stroke when DG took his power back.
Fun fact: the Wii-PS2 version of Unleashed was developed by Dimps, likely to avoid repeating the mistake of splitting Sonic Team between two projects, which marred both 06 and Secret Rings.
Also, Jason Griffith had strep throat throughout the Sonic Unleashed sessions. That's right, he even had to do the Werehog fall-out scream with a strep throat!
I can explain the chip bracelet. I can imagine that sonic has a house? Or some place on Green Hill where he keeps things, like souvenirs from his adventures. Maybe in tails’ work shop or something.
talking about sonic unleashed, i don't actually have many problems with the werehog stages it's just that some werehog stages are extremely long while others aren't, not really consistent otherwise, i think it would of been ok
I'd be curious to hear your opinions on Sonic Unwiished, as it was one of the first Sonic games I played. I remember playing this game religiously and still think it's extremely enjoyable to this day. As a bonus, a lot of the 'quirks' of the HD version aren't there, such as mandatory medals grinding, extra long night levels, and the fact that you battle Eggman in the Egg Cauldron and then he later says "I should have know you'd still be alive?" in Mazuri, referrring to Sonic's fall from space. When I finally got to the HD version, I was blown away and didn't notice any issues; to me it was absolutely flawless. I didn't mind having to collect medals or the fact that I could often count the frames displayed on one hand. It was truly magical to experience my favorite Sonic game through a new remastered lense and I'm glad I played it in this order. At the end of the day Sonic Unleashed probably wouldn't be one of my favourite games if it weren't for the Ps2/Wii version
The werehog (in the main version of the game, at least) is actually nicely fleshed out God of War style beat-em-up. It just wasn't what Sonic fans wanted out of a Sonic game.
EggmanLand actually originated from The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, in which it was called RobotnikLand, the name that it would be given in Sonic Adventure.
15:17 actually the PS2 also had Sonic Unwiished with less polygons and lower res textures, as if the Wii textures weren't already weak. They pretty much rectified the power of the Wii in Sonic Colors to the point where Sonic Colors Ultimate graphics seem underwhelming.
Shadow and Knuckles would be really neat as swapped day and night stages, Shadow being revolved around night time boosting and Knuckles being like a day version of the Werehog gameplay.
heres a neat little thing i dont think many know about: the quick time execute for enemies is easier the lower on health you get them, if their health is higher the QTE's go faster, if their health is lower the QTE's go slower
In Windmill Isle there's some Menus you can make out by the shops that feature various drinks named after a colour and type of terrain, one of which is "Red Moutain" like the SA1 stage! Coincidence? Most likely but I literally never heard anyone talk about it so there you go.

Unleashed was truly the last Sonic game where Sega and ST really freaking gave it their all. Even Generations was kind of “debatable” in terms of overall quality compared to Unleashed. But Colors, Lost World, and Forces don’t even remotely compare to the effort and just overall creativity and passion that went into Unleashed. Heck even the Wii Version of Unleashed was more polished than Colors, Lost World and Forces.
Dude I don't think that picture of Sonic on a laptop is proof that a pc port is being developed. That's laptop is probably just being used to develop the game.
It got bad reviews, it got a worse score then 06 and was hated unnecessarily by the Fandom. I don't blame Sega for not porting it. Most of the people asking for a port were the same people hating on the game. Sonic Fans always be bandwagoning. It's a lose lose situation for Sega

you forgot the one scene from the intro cutscene that sonic was being electrocuted. there was a screenshot of sonic having his mouth being very uh... pointy and the sonic had one eye closed and there was no purple electric coming from it.

Today I want to talk about a Sonic game that I hold close to my heart and that is Sonic Unleashed. This game is crazy, controversial, and very high budget. I love Sonic Unleashed but this game has some very mixed opinions.

Actually, the Wii and PS2 versions of Unleashed weren’t actually made by DIMPS , but there was one Sonic Rush level designer that worked on it.
