Platinum Hits thing is slightly different, basically Microsoft gave that to any game that sold really well, which Sonic 06, despite it's quality or lack thereof, did.
This is a silver lining with a lot of the worst Sonic games. Really, a Sonic game is *truly* doomed when there’s not even a decent soundtrack to back it up, like Rise of Lyric or Chronicles.
Shadow does remove his IR in Sa2 that’s why sonic returns with one of shadows rings after the fight with the biolizard Sonic 06 was purchasable digitally on 360, Idk why you said it never was, they even brought it back a few years back on the 360 store
Another modern game that could have made super sonic playable but because they rushed it they just leaved him in a fight in space,the counter is now up to 6 or 7 by now(advance series,rush,adventure 2 etc)and sometimes its not even because its rushed its just a bad decision,theres no trophy for completing the game otherthan the final boss with super sonic wich should make so if you beat it you can now be super sonic whenever you want so you actually feel like you got compensated
Wait, so let me get this straight, so Blaze exists in the future of what is actually Sonic's dimension due to amnesia? Like, she forgot that she was the princess of Sol Kingdom? So, basically, she accidently did the same thing Sonic did back in IDW, at the end of the Metal Virus Saga, where Sonic got teleported to her world as a result of the Warp Topaz blowing up under using Super State? Like, the timeline is sort of untouched, then in this case, because there was two options in my head for dealing with the timeline cut-and-paste as a result of Solaris being removed from existence: 1. Sonic Rush Duology takes place after '06. (My initial take, because timeline is funky when Silver's involved.) If this was the case, then Blaze the Cat was never a princess, never knew what the Sol Emeralds were, and the theory of what happened after she sealed Iblis inside herself and sealed herself in another dimension and then Iblis was removed from existence is that the timeline corrected itself, where the Custom Action Gems became the Sol Emeralds and the Sol Kingdom just was somehow constructed on Solaris's power and Blaze became the princess somehow, which is a lot of weird multiverse correcting. It also would hypothetically mean that Burning Blaze can use Custom Actions, which is also weird. 2. Sonic Rush Duology takes place before '06. This one is also weird, because I think Blaze has interacted with characters in '06 and was unfamiliar with them, like Sonic, and it'd be really weird if they just all forgot the events of Sonic Rush. But, it'd go like this, Blaze landed in Silver's world, or 200 years in the future of Sonic's dimension, with amnesia like Sonic after the IDW Metal Virus Saga. She forgot she was both a princess and what the Sol Emeralds were, so she just helped Silver with Iblis. If the Custom Action Gems are the Sol Emeralds (which could be in Sonic's present due to time-space shenanigans), then Sonic was just drawing on the Sol Emeralds power to use Custom Actions, which wouldn't be so out of place seeing as the Chaos Emeralds can also give Custom Actions (or Emerald Powers) like in Sonic Superstars. After the timeline reset because Solaris was wiped out of existence and Blaze was sealed in another dimension with Iblis, I guess she just goes back to her dimension, memories intact, serves as the princess where nothing went wrong. I guess this would also mean that Solaris was somehow also the reason that Blaze even appeared in Silver's world to begin with, so there's not a lot of need for multiverse correction. If this would be the canon, then Sonic Team could always throw in that the Solaris is to the Sol Emeralds as Chaos is to the Chaos Emeralds, put the reason as some effect of the canon correction, and just leave it like that.

Then some market exec only saw the number of sold copies and decided to slap a “greatest hit” on the cover. “Greatest hit” indeed but not what the exec imagined.
