Watched for the first time ! Good video Tony ! Thanks for sharing ! It's amazing that the dozer ran great ! My husband just sat smiling ☺....he loves all the big boy Tonka toys to play with !
Removing the Poke salad. Lol. It’s amazing because most people here in Indiana have no clue what it is. We have eaten it my entire life but my family is from Georgia originally. Great with scrambled eggs for breakfast. Lol. Great work guys. Stay safe! - Tom “Outdoors and Country Living”.
Thank you!!!! I dated a woman from up north who just wore me out when I told her there was waspers in the bush in the front yard. I swear I thought waspers was the plural of wasps. But I tell you what, my grand mother said waspers all her life so it’s waspers to me and always will be.

I will have to admit, I love my watches. This watch cost a bit more than some of the box store watches, but I have beat it to death. I just don't think about it. I did have the crystal polished once. I welded with it on. LOL.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah, it costs a bit more but worth it IMO. I don't weld with mine but it regularly gets worn when I'm in the tractor 🤣
I though it had been setting 4 or 5 years. After talking with the owner, he told me it has been setting there for 7 years untouched. The tree gave that away too! Tony
@@TonysTractorAdventure Yeah judging by the size of the sumac tree That sounds about right. y'all where pretty entertaining. Enjoyed the video and had a laugh or two

I've got the same dozer. Need to take out clutch packs and free up brakes. Original had steel fibers that will rust in place in matter of months of not running.
I love mine. It handles brush and chert like a pro. It is a learning curve . The blade pivot it a little far put from tracks so reaction time on contour jobs has to be warp speed. Mines been a war wagon for sure.... I have contacts for parts if he decides to have you go through steer clutch/ brake packs. There about 4 hour r&r per side and not bad at all.

No being very mechanically inclined i find these videos immensely satisfying.
Thank you. We find it to be a challenge and something fun to do from time to time. Going back out today to try and fix the old crane truck.

It is a funny story! My wife is from Germany, and she learned "waspers" from an East TN family member. I tell her it is wrong, she likes it.
It was enjoyable to watch you 2 at work making some old machine live again. Great video!

Seems way underpowered.
It is running on 7 year old diesel and the clutches are frozen. These are strong little cut dozers.
It looks like Tony is doing all the work. Haha. That Hank, he’s a character.
Love that old boy. I am heading down to see him next week. Tony

I have a '88 Mitzi excavator. Works like a champ. Even has tinted windows in the cab. Also a Chinese Yuchai dozer which is not unlike that one.
There is a reason CAT bought them. They are tough machines.
I hope you guys buy it nice little machine
It is a nice machine. I am not sure they will ever sell it.
I'd say it's old, still has levers & peddles, no joy sticks, That's what I learned on way back in the 70;s still like the feel of pulling levers
Me too. I learned on a D7 Cat. This works a bit differently, but i figured out.
@@TonysTractorAdventure I learned on a army surplus D9 . Moved a few of them in my day, I wasn't a real operator but a truck driver on a lo[boy

You got that right!
I was waiting to see Hank take down that tree with his adjustable wrench.
Brother you got me this morning. I bust out laughing out loud when I read this.
Seeing it start was just magical 🙌🏿the fact that it moved 👌🏿priceless!
I think with some love, it could be a usable dozer again. It had a new undercarriage put on just before it was parked. The owner passed away.
