  • Welcome to Phase 2 of the Cheapie Civic build, and shoutout to Maxpeedingrods for sponsoring this episode!
The Cheapie Civic was in desperate need of new shocks - the old ones were worn and the stock ride height was making the coupe look worse than it actually was. The team at MXR reached out to me and after some discussion, they thought the T6 coils would be a good fit for the build!
Watch along as we unbox the T6 coils, overcome a little shipping mishap, and install them onto the car! Spoiler, these coils are great and are definitely made for the budget-conscious driver like me!

Upgrading the front and rear sway bar will eliminate the body roll

What camera mount are you using for inside the car? It's super smooth and not shakey.

The GoPro is wedged in between the headrest and the seat back when I have it attached to my tripod mount. At other times, it’s just strapped onto the headrest with a generic GoPro chesty. I have stabilization turned on while filming with the GoPro, I think that helps with the footage too👍🏻

Gotcha, I tried one time with one of those adjustable tri pod things and wrapped it around the headrest and when I looked at the footage it was shaking and vibrating the whole time. haha

What would you say is the best settings on the dampening for daily? 12 clicks in the front 14 clicks in the rear?

I've driven the car on 11 clicks in the front and 14 in the rear and it's been very comfortable for me on mostly smooth NYC roads. It gets slightly bouncy sometimes when the pavement is uneven, but I preferred this setting over 10 clicks front/12 clicks rear as I found that to be too soft. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
