Also, in a way, there's a new perspective - not just coming from "outside the car world", but to paraphrase what Izzy said in this video: Car stuff isn't just for guys. So yea, have more Izzy, Abbie, Tati and others. Heck, try to get someone like @EmeliaHartford to do a collab with Izzy. That would be fun. Background: I do some work in the motorsport world, especially in different Rally series and offroad stuff. Not the hobby leagues, with official series. Every time I see the womens category (if there is a separate one) participant list only having something like 2 teams, it bums me out.
Izzy is growing into a terrific presenter. She is funny and likeable with clear grit and a competitive streak in her. Very entertaining and I cannot wait to see more.
Imma say it... Izzy is literally the female version of richard with a pinch of Jeremy Clarkson. I know there's no relation but that much influence around her family over the years it seems there's a little pinch of something on the "Powerrrr" side. Also... its fucking brilliant to see her absolutely schooling her dad on how to drive on a track. Keep it up Izzy.. absolute asset to the drivetribe channel

Izzy's transformation from _slight_ interest to full on racer and enthusiast has been amazing (and _fast_ ). Won't be very long before she's slapping her Dad's helmet instead and doing a victory dance. Since I've been seeing more of you driving and in my TH-cam feed, I've pictured myself being able to do that. You're bubbly, genuine, enthusiastic, and willing to learn and ask questions, which I identify with. I've always loved driving fast, but racing was never something girls were "allowed" to do. In 2 weeks, I'll be starting with an established amateur endurance race team, and I'm so incredibly excited about it. Thank you for being inspiring, and your relatable self!! It has been so great to see more and more women taking their place in the culture. Always thought it was so silly that women didn't feel like they could express a love for cars. I remember over the years I've had conversations with female friends who unfortunately (albeit passively) see being into cars as a boy thing. It's been nice to have people to point to show that's just not the case!
It's also connected to risk, we guys tend to go more towards risk and that's biology and brianwired nothing related to society though (the point I just made) the rest you said is also right
One of the most wholesome vids i have seen in a long time :) A father of 5 daughters and only the youngest who's 3 is into cars and engines, she is a proper little daddies girl and loves getting the tools and trying to use them, my eldest 4 daughters are all in their late teens and early 20's and not 1 of them ever showed an interest in cars, so watching this i can only live and hope that in 20 yrs, I get to experience something like this with my youngest :)
As a 22 year old girl who also only recently discovered her love for cars myself, I totally understand Izzy. Deep down, that love has always been there. With society's standards pressing on you it just takes a little longer before you finally figure that out.

It seems like for many in the UK, this could be an attainable level of motorsport (maybe not first time, but over a couple of seasons if you have the moolah).
This episode is so much fun, as Richard and Izzy are obviously having a blast. She obviously had talent as a presenter and a petrol-head in her genes, and she (and her father) just realized it. I find this positively brilliant to watch. Amazon should produce a spinoff of "The Grand Tour" with Richard and Izzy, call it "Generations".

Izzy's comment about feeling like a star in a reasonably priced car was spot on! Not sure how she got it in her head that girls can't be racing drivers, though-here in the US, we have/had MANY lady racing drivers, and that number is growing all the time. Maybe in the UK, perceptions are different?

I have been watching Richard Hammond for many many many years now across 4-5 different shows and I can truly say I never ever seen him as proud and as happy as I have today. He isn’t that good of an actor, that was a very proud papa.
That was lovely to see, a father and his child, really enjoying each other's company and having fun. I wish I could have been fit enough to do something like that with any of my children. Enjoy your lives.
Anytime there is a Drivetribe video notification, I simply stop what I am doing, hit like before watching it then watch it. Just love, love the content and direction more and more and it's just so exciting. I have always loved Hammond but Izzy is getting some of that too. She is amazing!

Anytime there is a Drivetribe video notification, I simply stop what I am doing, hit like before watching it then watch it. Just love, love the content and direction more and more and it's just so exciting. I have always loved Hammond but Izzy is getting some of that too. She is amazing!

Richard and izzy hotlapping around a track in lots of different drive tribe / remaining top gear cars would be So COOL! I can imagine izzy would have a blast smacking curbs and hitting apexes in a car that isn't hers with rich right next to her :) awesome video guys one of my favourite....sat here giggling the entire way through
