      Shia Lebouf introduced it to me then the algorithm pulled up the second episode of Mass of The Ages which I had to watch. I was blown away and had to get to go see it and experience it myself . I am so blessed to have a TLM being celebrated 20 min from where I live. I’ve had a 2nd conversion to our Catholic faith since then . My life has changed since , all for the better .

      You seek permission from the local ordinary then the local ordinary seeks the vatican.

    During episode 1 my wife and I had never been to a TLM. After episode 1 we went to a local FSSP parish. Which turned out to be an incredibly beautiful church and mass. Now in episode 3 we are regular attendees to the TLM through FSSP and I can say when we make the occasional Sunday to the novus ordo it doesn’t feel the same. The reverence is gone, the people aren’t taking it as seriously and it does impact the way you receive the Host. The TLM truly is a great treasure and it’s no wonder why it lasted through the ages. For me personally, it is a special time out of my week where it’s not about me. Not about entertainment. Not about modernity. It’s truly a moment in time to worship our God.

      Can you pray for my husband to someday be open to attending the LM? We have been Protestants all our lives and by the grace of God, he’s wanted to join me at Mass, which thankfully is a reverent NO. The priest really tries to celebrate in a reverent way which I’m grateful for but I still long to go to the LM. My husband is afraid of going because the Latin part intimidates him and I’ve told him there’s nothing to fear because we can follow along in the missals. It is a very big step for him since we had been going to a baptist church. I feel what you’re saying though. The lack of reverence from some of the people greatly saddens me and I think that’s why he’s having a tough time believing in the real presence. It does effect our beliefs in how we all collectively worship and present ourselves the the Lord

      @@shieldoffaith8798 Such a blessing that you have joined the Catholic Faith. It is a big difficult step to leave a "Bible believing" church for Rome and the Latin Mass. In good conscience I no longer attend the Novus Ordo (or rarely) but know many folks that attend both. Keep this as an option with your husband. It takes about six months of regular attendance at TLM (Low and High Mass) to become fully "acclimated." Perhaps he would agree to attend once a month? Start slowly. Wishing you well.

    I’m a fourteen year old catechumen in the church (to be received this Easter vigil). My parents are atheist (keep that in mind) and when I was looking for a denomination/church the TLM is what led me to Catholicism. Where I used to live (Southern California) we had a Latin mass within 20 minutes of our house that our neighbors would take me to. Now sadly I live in a small town (northern Arizona) that only has 3 Catholic Churches that are all Novus Ordo. I don’t hate the novus Ordo but I love the TLM and the closest TLM is 45 minutes but I’m 14 so I can’t drive. I hope we get more near my house, but I finish my conversion soon which is exciting! Please pray for me and pray that my parents come to the faith 🙏 I hope one day more TLM churches are built and we are able to celebrate the Mass in, I truly believe the TLM will bring more people to the church and I hope the Pope realizes how crucial the Tridentine Mass is.

Forever thankful for the Latin Mass, its defenders and the real tradition of the church. If the TLM was allowed to flourish and be celebrated more, many more protestants would convert! When I saw the consecration and elevation I cried, because I had not witness something so beautiful, the love and devotion of the priest and the way the mass was structured and the chanting and everything all points to the devotion of the Holy Trinity.

    Even as a non-SSPX Catholic, it appears increasingly evident to me that God placed the very courageous Archbishop Lefebrve at the right time in the right place in history to preserve the Mass of the Ages. Like St. Athanasius, he manfully endured the wrath of an obstinate hierarchy. Anyone who cherishes the authentic Latin Mass owes him a great debt of gratitude.

    • @mateuszmachula6707
      @mateuszmachula6707 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      Your statement is not factual. If the hierarchy was so set againt the 1962 missal why would Pope St. John Paul II initiate the FSSP. Lafebvre was disobediant and wanted things his way as Pope St. Paul VI stated in his letter to Lefebrve.

    • @jeffbrewster7475
      @jeffbrewster7475 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +50

      Yes, facts can be pesky things. You will not convince any serious observer of the TLM over the last six decades that JP2 and crew were actively laying the foundation for Latin Mass alternatives to the SSPX before Abp Lefebrve felt compelled to consecrate bishops. The formation of the FSSP, as wonderful as it is, was a purely reactive measure to the SSPX. JP2, as "great" as he was, was no strong advocate of traditional worship. Bottom line - no SSPX, no FSSP, ICKSP, etc. FSSP was promised its own bishop by Rome...something it reneged on.

    • @mateuszmachula6707
      @mateuszmachula6707 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      St JPII created an alternative SSPX when they excomunicated themselves with their actions. The Church has always been cheritable to B.L even when he was disobediant, and over stepped, and when he was rude and called the heirarchy "antichrists'. The FSSP was formed by B.L best pupiles, who lead his advisory commition and told him he was leading them to schism. The reaction was to disobediance, to schism, to acts the Church calls "criminal and sacriligious"; how can they be praiseworthy as well??

    • @thomasneal800
      @thomasneal800 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mateuszmachula6707 I would recommend you read Msgr. Lefebvre's own writings from that time, and also Michael Davies's "Apologia pro Marcel Lefebvre," which explain the archbishop's mindset and the chronology of events much better than anyone can in a comment on social media. Msgr. Lefebvre did not want to proceed with the consecrations without Rome's permission, but he felt compelled to. Rome knew he was dying, and both he and they knew that his death would cut off the life support of the entire traditional movement. I'm sorry, but there is simply no way JPII would have founded the 'Ecclesia Dei' communities had Msgr. Lefebvre given up the fight. Every single person who celebrates or assists at the TLM owes Msgr. Lefebvre an enormous debt of gratitude for heroically defending the faith in the most difficult and trying of circumstances. Santo subito!

    The Tridentine Mass brought me back to my faith. I witnessed irreverent masses while I served in the military, it destroyed what I had left in my heart to fulfill my obligations, my pride and ignorance led me away from Christ into a life of sin. The FSSP parish I have here has been amazing for me. I have no personal issue with the Novus Ordo. I was an alter server for a Novus Ordo parish while it was run by amazing Franciscan priests...the best priests you could ever meet. They were always fantastic to serve under. I was not catechized very well, but much of that is to blame on my own faults while I was young. I learned next to nothing about the faith, I couldn't even get through a Rosary. Now I am praying the Rosary in Latin, and I am learning more about the Church than I ever have before. I have made friends with Byzantine Catholics and have learned the Eastern Chotki/Prayer Rope. The fullness of the faith is in the Catholic Church, with so much history and tradition in all of its canons.

Second time watching it and I choked up. 10 months since my diocesan TLM was suppressed in Glasgow, Scotland. We have another diocesan TLM but in an area not easy to get to but we also have the SSPX. As Patrick Madrid said in the film, we're in it for the long run. My dear Fred Stone (former Una Voce Scotland chairman) who returned to Our Lord last October, would have loved to have seen the finale of the trilogy. He loved the first two but he would have been so pleased about this one. God bless you all and let us all pray for those who have yet to discover the liturgical beauty and majesty of the TLM. 🙏

      My introduction to the Latin mass was at Saint Andrew’s in Glasgow. I was there visiting my son who was a student at the university of Glasgow and I randomly walked into the Latin mass. I loved it!

    As the faithful explained their love of the TLM, I spoke aloud again and again, "YES!" Many of us have had our lives completely changed by the grace and blessing of the TLM. God, in Your mercy, preserve and propagate this beautiful and sacred liturgy so we might be a fitting offering to You.

    I’ve been to many Latin Masses, and my boyfriend has just been introduced to them pretty recently. My boyfriend and I watched this together, and, after we finished it, he said we might have to look into switching to the Latin Mass (we go to a church with a reverent Novus Ordo).
    This series is allowing so many to see the beauty of the Latin Mass, Deo Gratias 🙏🏻

    Wow! The beautiful Chapel turned into a hotel... The Rose window, an A with M was Our Blessed Mother's greeting from St. Gabriel.

      I looked it up online and I read it was the Latin phrase “Ausipce Maria” which means “under the protection of Mary” and is a way to dedicate a church to Mary. Ave Maria works too though!

    This was just beautiful and so factual. Loved everything about it. Much congratulations for a beautiful series. I’ve been going to the TLM for 36 years, have raised our children in it, have driven countless miles for it, thankfully we have one nearby now. God is so good. He will provide. Thank God for FSSP and pray that it continue to flourish. The Mass of the Ages it is indeed. Heaven on earth. ❤

    I'm from Mexico. When I first saw Mass of the Ages I thought it would be another Euroamerican-centered thing. I kept watching because, well, I'm interested in keeping the Mass of the ages alive. I'm glad to see they got even a tiny portion of Latin America (my country, and my state only) and Africa into this. Sure, most is centered around the US and Europe and that's mostly where the Mass of the ages lives, and while this documentary reflects the fact Latin America and Africa face the most strict restrictions against the same Mass "as always" (de siempre), it does so indirectly and briefly. Sadly our dioceses continue to be the most liberal, our bishops the most ruthless persecutors of the Latin Mass but we're also the countries with the most seminarians. My diocese roughly has 1 M people and we have like 220 seminarians and 400 ordained priests. Many of those young men will never know what the Mass of the Ages is and will actively be sheltered from it by bishops. My brother in law was a seminarian for 1 year and he didn't even know what a Latin Mass is. I went to the Covadonga pilgrimage in 2022 and I was amazed to see diocesan priests who celebrate Latin Mass. No such thing here, not even in our wildest dreams. So yeah, kinda glad they included the "3rd world" in this even if briefly, I know producers may have focused on areas in which it is allowed because focusing on those that aren't would probably be too confrontational. After all, this is the part of the world that His Holiness comes from. I found it amazing how they didn't go to Argentina to see how his diocese is and how things are and were.

    My heart longs for the TLM. I’ve been a few times. Every time without fail I sense the presence of God so clearly. What stood out to me last time was how much the priest prays, like a good father who loves much in his family life. After Communion I felt Jesus simply talking to me, in my heart. Dear dad, my God, please, call all sinners to repentance. Thank you

    I'm a Catholic convert coming from a Southern Baptist household, and all I can say is, if it wasn't for the SSPX I don't know if I would have ever have finished my conversion. Soon my SSPX parish will be the only one in the diocese that will be celebrating Latin Mass and I find that really sad. I've gone to a few diocesan TLMs and they were good and it's a total shame the bishop wants to get rid of them. After having gone to a few Novus Ordo masses, I truly don't understand how the Church is going to survive if that's all that is available.

    Incredible and exciting documentary! We watched it here from Brazil.
    TLM is the Church’s greatest asset and must be promoted.
    I am Eastern Catholic, grew up in the Ukrainian Rite and love attending TLM! I feel at home! The similarities between traditional rites are enormous! I attend Novus Ordo reverently too, but I don't feel as at home as I do at TLM.
