Very cool man, I don't know if I ever will get this far into a bike but it is super interesting to learn more about them. This bike is going to be crazy when your all done with it!
Stubby Screwdriver's or the ratchet setup >> I don't own any tools nowadays but knowing what you're showing here will save some guys a lot of trouble AND it might save them from stripping out either one of those screw heads ; the flat one inside or Phillips head that holds the plate. So you can't get a regular length screwdriver handle when the motor is mounted. Great point & I hope they see the video / read about it.. you could mess it up not having a set of short screwdrivers or the ratchet bits. And is this your new head or the old one? I ask because I didn't notice how the oil would cool the head there? If it does, no matter b/c you'll show it all later - at the appropriate time. Right now ain't that time yet - told you I'd ask dumb stuff but I get what you're saying about all of this. And I know I'll be doing an upgrade once I get mine. No way around it b/c I want more power. Anyhoo, nicely done// Nice catch. peace
@@diggy-d8w yeah, a stubby screwdriver with a skinny tip would work. This is the 78mm cylinder jug. In my last video I show at the end that I’m going to tap into the valve cover and have it go through the oil cooler and spray on the cam that’s on top of the head. Go head and ask away, I don’t mind at all.
@@DustySteel - I happen to like the Nutz/Boltz of these mechanical things even though I'm not a Car/Bike Mechanic type. My area was Heating / Air Conditioning & I was a mechanic of that stuff. Some plumbing & electrical too w/ an emphasis on how that stuff works. The only likenesses are knowing that using the right tools is paramount to doing good work which is something I liked about Mish Mash from the start. I also like what both of you are doing & even if I never get a bike I won't consider it a waste of time because I enjoy seeing things trouble-shot, worked thru, and properly completed. That's why I say get lots of video(2-3 cameras) on each piece of work & then you can get the best parts from each view & edit it in the best way. That's why I said it is a lot of work, possibly more hours than the actual mechanical work but doing a good job on the video is where it's at !! MM is pretty good at that stuff & I'm watching ~ see by the time I get ready I'll want to get the stuff You have shown us & you should also out the parts name/catalog numbers ect, maybe a link so you get a commission? I appreciate the time you've shared & remember to = Take your Time and do a good job..... peace man
@@diggy-d8w oh yeah, I do too. I know a decent amount about building a house; it’s my dream to build my own someday. I will definitely get better at filming but I definitely need to work on story writing also. I honestly don’t want people messing up their XR150L so I’m not sure about mentioning where I got the parts until I’ve had a lot of time to test them. I feel bad that MishMash already messed up his clutch but I know that he understands the risks. I definitely am going to put more disclaimers on the next 300cc update video.
Good to know, thank you!
@@DunnMotors you’re welcome! Thanks for watching!😎
