They're really good it even hard to believe Gemini used to fail in drama class he's so amazing, and fourth did say acting has always been his dream that's why he does it so well.
The fact that Heart and Li Ming are just side characters makes each of their moment so precious. The acting of Gem and Fourth really gives their characters justice and it feels so realistic. Gem and Fourth really have a great chemistry and I am sure they would be very successful in the future.
Is it just me who got goosebumps and freaked out on First's entry? It was an AESTHETIC and MYSTERIOUS way of introducing him like those fantasy movies or series cliffhangers..... THAT SCENE N THE VIBES IT GAVE LITERALLY CAUGHT MY ATTENTION LIKE ANYTHING
I love these series that do NOT take place in Bangkok. The old architecture, the close knit community, neighbours who all know each other, all this adds to the feel of the story. This is what makes Uncle Jim as a character work, as he takes care of his friends and community. This is why we feel so bad for Jim and others vendors. Makes me want to travel around Thailand, some day. It's not just Thailand. Big corporate real estate does this everywhere. I'd be fine with taking down an old factory, or a run down area, but not a living community, no matter how old it is.
Heart is the typical example of “an idle mind is the devils workshop” and Li Ming has become his cohort lol. Refilling with tea I wonder how many times he has done that 😂😂
The way Heart and Li Ming look at each other 😭 Their chemistry is out of this world. Just them looking at each other is enough to create butterflies in my stomach - no words needed, just them communicating with their eyes I can already feel so much raw emotion. Fourth & Gemini are such amazing actors 😭

Li Ming and Heart's scenes are what I live for. So wholesome. I really like their cute little dance. And the promise that they made with those smiles and facial expressions is so genuine. So proud of Gemini and Fourth for portraying the characters so well.

Wen’s stepdad is so cool Meanwhile I want to smack some sense into Heart’s mum. What kind of mother slip the notes under her child like she’s the kidnapper. Both Gemini and Fourth acting are really top notch at this age. HeartLiming story is so pure,heart fluttering and saddening at the same time. They both fell for each other at the same time. No words just eye contact alone deliver so much emotion. First’s reveal is short but really impactful.

fourth is outstanding for a rookie actor most of the time actors remind me of their previous characters and it really brings down the mood for me but fourth here and in msp are totally different I wouldn’t know that was him tbh good job fr
i love that heart and li ming's interactions are youthful, full of giggles, their only problem is estranged parental figures (and maybe financial on liming's end) whereas on the other hand, jim and wen's interactions tackles more on adulting, the real life struggles, being a corporate/capitalism slave (!!!). but it doesn't stray away too much from the plot, they are still connected in some ways which makes it easier to navigate the connections and friendships.
Wen surely got a cool step dad. His dad understood he was talking with his boyfriend (soon to be bf) over the phone 🤭 These high school boys are very naughty. Heart is drinking his father's well preserved alcohol with Li Ming😂, shiyaaa he even filled it up with tea 🤣🤦🏻♀️ It just melts my heart whenever there's a scene between Li Ming and Heart 🥹❤️🥰 21:37 finally Alan (First) is here
I can see that, through Wen, Jim learn to understand Li Ming more. It's kinda goo thing that they met each other. Apart from that, i love how Li Ming found his own way to free himself from stress. By working at Heart's family, he found a place to forget his problem. And yes, by doing so too, Heart found a friend. He's not lonely anymore. For sure, each one who come into our life has their own reason given by God. That's also what happened to Jim, Wen, Heart and Li Ming. In other way, this path had made Gaipa and Wen's boyfriend (First) to lose their love one. Maybe God tryna show to both of them that that's not their destiny. Sometimes, the end will bring a better beginning for both of them. I hope, by the end, all of them will find their destiny or bring them the better path for rhem.

Moonlight Chicken if you look at it, is also about a study about the clash of generational thinking. Jim is old school, a traditionalist, where a degree & education is important to a better life. Jim is a Gen X though mostly thinking like a Boomer. He braves through life sacrificing his own happiness for the sake of a better future. His disciplining is stern because he feels that is how you raise a rebellious kid to be a better person. Li Ming is from the age of rich influencers who doesnt need education & the rise of gig economy. Gen Ys tend to be aspiring to success in a different way, and also more emotional and wanting to be understood and seen as equal.The idea of success is different. Emotional needs are different. Wen in this EP is like a bridge or a translator that helps Jim's Gen X understand a Gen Y Li Ming a little better.
The take on 18:03, the way the camera moves, the background music, it's just perfect! love it very much. and then Li Ming suddenly there, sleeping with Gemini (idk his character name sorry xD), and then he's saying "sweet dream" in a very charm and gently voice. That has shaken my heart ☺️ i haven't felt this way for so long from a series, such a good series ^^

EarthMix praying together and floating floral baskets made me weep maybe because I could connect to their conversation about studies, life choices, jobs and future so much, I missed my best friend so much in this episode. Love the characters, story, acting, direction and everything around. Thank you for the amazing series. :)

i love that heart and li ming's interactions are youthful, full of giggles, their only problem is estranged parental figures (and maybe financial on liming's end) whereas on the other hand, jim and wen's interactions tackles more on adulting, the real life struggles, being a corporate/capitalism slave (!!!). but it doesn't stray away too much from the plot, they are still connected in some ways which makes it easier to navigate the connections and friendships.

I can see that, through Wen, Jim learn to understand Li Ming more. It's kinda goo thing that they met each other. Apart from that, i love how Li Ming found his own way to free himself from stress. By working at Heart's family, he found a place to forget his problem. And yes, by doing so too, Heart found a friend. He's not lonely anymore.
For sure, each one who come into our life has their own reason given by God. That's also what happened to Jim, Wen, Heart and Li Ming. In other way, this path had made Gaipa and Wen's boyfriend (First) to lose their love one. Maybe God tryna show to both of them that that's not their destiny. Sometimes, the end will bring a better beginning for both of them. I hope, by the end, all of them will find their destiny or bring them the better path for rhem.

Moonlight Chicken if you look at it, is also about a study about the clash of generational thinking. Jim is old school, a traditionalist, where a degree & education is important to a better life. Jim is a Gen X though mostly thinking like a Boomer. He braves through life sacrificing his own happiness for the sake of a better future. His disciplining is stern because he feels that is how you raise a rebellious kid to be a better person. Li Ming is from the age of rich influencers who doesnt need education & the rise of gig economy. Gen Ys tend to be aspiring to success in a different way, and also more emotional and wanting to be understood and seen as equal.The idea of success is different. Emotional needs are different. Wen in this EP is like a bridge or a translator that helps Jim's Gen X understand a Gen Y Li Ming a little better.

This ep was full of emotions. I loved how Heart and Li Ming opened up to each other slowly and now becoming best friends. EarthMix praying together and floating floral baskets made me weep maybe because I could connect to their conversation about studies, life choices, jobs and future so much, I missed my best friend so much in this episode. Love the characters, story, acting, direction and everything around. Thank you for the amazing series. :)
