My grandmother used to put the sheets in the refrigerator, and at bedtime, she would give them to us. It was so nice that we could sleep comfortably until one or two o'clock in the morning when the temperature started to drop a bit
Yes, that's what they say, but let's see. Luckily it's not that hot here anymore. As long as we don't have too many heatwaves or wildfires, we'll be ok 🙏
It is very nice in Rhodes at this time of year. I'm curious how you would react to 40 degrees in Athens at such a time. But then again, it's summer and it will be hot. You are not in the Sahara desert, but in Greece, there is no need for so much drama. If someone wants a summer at 25 degrees Celsius, let them take a holiday in Russia for example
Frappe used to be very common 15-20 years ago. Now its almost obsolete, its place has been taken by Freddo Espresso (Iced espresso). Have a nice summer, the heat can be insufferable at times. Greetings from Crete.
I am freezing in Sydney right now. We usually get the very cold weather at the end of July and early August. It's 3 degrees here atm. I prefer the heat. I would readily swap 39 for 3 degerees.
Last winter in Finland (where I'm from) the temperature dropped below -30 in many places. Some people had difficulties starting their cars. I don't think there's a place with constant perfect weather, but Rhodes comes pretty close to that. Now it's nice again here 34...25 🌴🏖️☀️
Yes & even such low temperatures in the UK this past month. It's been extremely changeable weather so far. Let's hope it settles down into proper summer temperatures. All the best
June you must always persevere in greece because its both humid and hot, and many times combined with african dust. jully and especialy august is better because its dryer and august has some nice north calm wind!
i think its the opposite at least where i live August is so humid you cant breathe , of course its humid all year around here but combined with heat is hell
@@panagiotisp8213 i dont know about the whole of greece, but for most, august is the time is "meltemia" (north refreshing winds), and june is the time when south winds combined with african red dust covers the sky and creates a humid, superhot, greenhouse situation.
Fun/"sad" fact after climate crisis where the things have changed a lot Greeks tend to like and appreciate winter more. The only complaining about winter is the cost of heating the house. And always has been the main concern. Summers in the past used to be 30-35°C with strong north winds and clear atmosphere. Maybe 7-10 days of 40°C throughout the whole summer where these temperatures were considering as abnormal and extreme. Now days are like 35-39°C with frequent south winds and dust for weeks. And almost a month above or close to 40°C. There is no pleasure in summer anymore. And its costly too.
Thanks for the information I am thinking to buy property in Greece (my be olive trees farm with a house) for investment and retirement in future would you recommend buying property there? Which area in Greece should I look for? What things I must check before buying? Thank you very much and I appreciate your onion.
Yes I would recommend buying property for retirement, if you want to retire here. For investment, maybe something like Airbnb? I would look from the mainland. Before you buy property here, you need to hire a local lawyer that will see all legal aspects for you. I hope this helps 😊
I think the best think you have to do is to travel Greece by yourself and check for your self the best location I had a German friend he did the same and he buy home in central Greece My advice
I love the heat in Greece its like you liberate yourself from everything and relaxing
Yes, I guess that's why so many people like to come here this time of the year ☀️🏖️🌴🌊

Great idea
You're so true about everything. June is already like so hot and the weather reports says that this summer will be the hotest ever.

A small tip to drink a better frappe, is to use fresh milk and not from a can, it makes a big difference. I wish the whole family a happy holiday!
Thank you! Next time I'm gonna use fresh milk 😊
Lovely video👍

Lovely video, but where is situated Haraki beach?
Haraki beach is located on the eastern coast of Rhodes island, approximately 36 kilometers from Rhodes Town.
