Never underestimate the power of a Chase, one of the most valuable tools (no offense) in any garage! Also, someone leveled up in production skills. It's that Skillshare/Udemy paying off!
Jesus Christ, shit just got real, now it's way more complicated hahaha. Good thing you uploaded this in youtube for everyone else to see. You can never go wrong over killing specially the chassis, everything will break but the frame would take more time. Enjoying every minute of the build.👌🏼
This project is so cool. But if you guys can turn the music down a bit in future videos I'd be grateful. I'm riding the volume over here trying o hear what you're saying while not getting blasted by the music. Thank you for posting this. 620 is such a great looking little truck. I look forward to pt 3
I've had that rendering of the black widebody as my phone background for over a year.... It's been my inspiration for my hardbody project that I've been planning/saving for.. like for a min.
A good idea for this project would be to add a few additional frame supports, clean up rust and dirt, then paint the frame and subframe, it was a really nice touch on throtl's 240sx
@@Jon-jc1jf if it doesn't look like it it's all good, but if they try to replicate it then tehey're gonna be in trouble because Kyza will know about it easily and he doesn't like that lol
Just wondering fellas, what made y'all choose such thick material to do the add-on? Its almost 4 times thicker than stock. And double of what I would ever think necessary. I was just wonder in if y'all were going with the "thicker=stronger" mentality, or if someone gave you direction in that way. It just seems a little overkill, thats why I'm asking. To each their own in this business and I applaud you for making the cuts and the effort to pull this off
@@chasetrippe that's cool man. I'm just glad y'all got advice. I've seen some stuff that scares me to know its on the road. I like stuff thats well engineered and done correctly. Y'all are doing extra, but it doesn't look to be going anywhere. Good job
David Lyall my man you are talking good sense there!

Only possible in america to cut the frame in half. So sad our cars in europe need to look at max oem +. Every one of parts we install have to have tuv and we need to carry it with us in our car translated in our language.
I feel bad for you,... here in Texas as long as you have a windshield, working wiper blades, working brakes, working lights, and working horn you pass inspection.... and the cops don't even bother to check if the inspection is legal, unless you have dark tinted windows or flashing underglow lights. They only verify if the tags are current, and if vehicle is insured as well as for drivers license. You could literally be driving a car with no doors and still be legal.
I can see it now: He hides it in Alabama somewhere and watches us all go insane trying to find it. Want it? Come get it! The locals will mumble about the "tourists", area restaurants will see a decent spike in revenue....everyone wins! Except for us, because the truck is actually in Michigan.

When welding thin to thick it helps alot to use a torch and pre heat the thicker plate then weld everything together
Thanks man. We literally talked about that right after I finished welding lol. I have an oxy acetylene set sitting right next to the datsun. 😅
Damn the films are to short!
Keep building! Love to watch these kind of projects!

Did you get the approval of Khyzyl Saleem to build his render ? :)
I highly doubt it. But I also highly doubt it'll look anything like it

We felt it was overkill and that seemed like a better idea than cutting it close. We did get some direction from a 30+ year welder/fabricator.
