And you have to keep in mind that Nissan isn't an exotic supercar producing dynasty such as Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. It is a Japanese tuner car company, so for them to make a 450+ horsepower vehicle that tops 190 MPH, being electronically limited, is an amazing feat on their part! So kudos to Nissan and their new monster, the GTR.
I was driving today and I saw a black one parked in the gas station so I made an immediate detour ran into the gas station rolled down my windows and told the guy "only came in to tell you sick car" and hes like "dude I've seen you around you have told me that 2 times now" haha. He ended up being awesome and has a loud ass exhaust and he burnt outta the station this car is honestly a beast I was blown away by the sound
195mph with 480hp in a car that weighs that much? pretty damn impressive if you ask me, alot of cars wouldnt be able to do that with 480hp, the transmission and aerodynamics really does its job.
No, the advantage with turbos is that you can get same crazy horsepower levels with smaller blocks and keep the weight down. That, plus you can easily tune turbocharged applications for more power than stock with little mods.
how many models do they have for the skyline(aka line of crap) for 2009? gtr,gtr-v spec,r35,mines,gtr-v..do i add 4dr or 2dr or is that just the same? oooh and the infinity models as well g35...did i miss anything? yea theyre made for the special olympic track.

@pier456 Dont confuse the lap time with traction. There are many factors involved in a lap. As you said ZR1 has 150 more HP and 100+Tq and of course a lighter weight. So these factors help ZR1 in a long run to have a better time. The driver is another factor because a split second can make a difference and that can very well be a driver error. But what is obvious is that GTR has a better grip or the road this is why GTR beats ZR1 in slalom.
@noshabibis How fast did the ZR-1 go around the Nürburgring? Because if I recall correctly, Nissan's goal with the GTR was to beat the time of the Porsche 911 turbo around the Nürburgring, not beat the ZR-1 in a 1/4 mile drag race.

Their strength is their modification potential? Compared tot he Z06 and ZR-1 and the 911 GT2 and GT3, the after market for the GT-R is tiny and there is next to minimal modification potential. The various 911 and Corvette models have been used in production racing series for years and their after market is huge along with the number of shops and tuners out there compared to what is available fo the GT-R
look up the hks gtr, they did some pretty significant changes and i think the whole setup cost like 9K, i think about 562hp im not sure about torque, but i know for sure they probably wont be bringing that package to the US, but if youre talking 25K u must want like 800whp and a str8 track beast for that type of money

@altimgamr The GTR has more technology assisting it then Lukes X-wing while the Vette uses suspension technology lifted from a Roman chariot and it can still lay down faster lap times then the GTR not to mention it comes standard with ceramic brakes. GTR wins in the interior department but that's about it. The Vette is simply a faster and more driver oriented vehicle.
@iBEaSTEYY17 Ariel Atom has 240hp and weighs around 1300lb. The car runs 0-60 in 2.7sec. It's basically a street legal go-kart. But, it has no comfort whatsoever.
There are so many replies to this video regarding it's acceleration? It's a top speed video, not a 0-195mph video! the driver wasn't changing gear at optimum revs and changing a bit early, he didn't even launch it aggressively, as it wasn't the aim of the run...
@altimgamr the C6 Z06 vettes are nothing to shake a stick at compared to last gens. I've seen the two race and the vettes will pull HARD on the GT-R. Both are easily in the same price range. I drive a turbo supra so i'm not biased to domestics, just stating the obvious facts.

the srt 10 also is right there. 1/4 11.6-11.9 and faster on the circuit if you consider splitters and suspension to be still stock.

GTR IS a track car. It's intended to handle and compete with a 911 turbo. The 911 is the benchmark competitor they used while engineering the GTR.
