Great video, tried the screen protector though, and ended up taking it off bc it took too many attempts to use the screen with it on because the touch response was so thrown off.
I do find the new car mount very appealing, however, that price point is steep. For a fraction of the cost, especially when it's on sale, the Delkin Fat Gecko Triple Suction Mount is a great alternative. I currently use that mount, which took apart and jerry-rigged my X3 on it. And it holds as "spirited" speeds.
On that chest mount what does the footage look like? Can you still get birdseye view and behind you? It doesn’t make sense to me. Isn’t it looking up the nose?
It’s best used in 360 mode and you can then reframe facing forwards when it’s on a chest mount. You’d be able to see behind you when it’s on a helmet mount. For a Birds Eye view you’d need the camera on an extension arm or stick. It would only look up your nose if you were shooting in single lens mode and pointed it upwards.
I like the new dive case, but its very expensive also. And there is a huge risk that if next year the X4 will be introduced, that you need to buy all accessories again since they might not fit the new model. This happenend also when going from X2 to X3 where someone needed to buy all new accessories again.

Yes the fat gecko seems to be a great choice, I read a lot of comments mentioning that rig
Is new stick is better for water? previous not good at all. Glue goes out really fast
None of the sticks are ideal for underwater - you’re better with the nubear stick which has been designed for underwater use - do a google search

How do you extend the carbon fiber stick half way??
It’s friction controlled so just stays in place when you extend it to whichever length
