I played "Xenoblade Chronicles X", and I still watched this video.
Showing all the compromises XC3 took to make the maps bigger was sad, no wonder why Mira looks more like Aionios concept art than XC3 (curvy terrain and more floating terrain require more polygons and so) (although, Xc3 did include something from X concept art, the fragmented sea seen in the same Mira planet picture, that they cut from X for some reason), no account for portability and file size. Also, Monolithsoft is in a constant cycle of recruiting and training new young developers with each game, to prepare the next gen of workers. Can't wait for what the next game will look like (and the lightning), as you said, we are about to witness the biggest Nintendo graphical leap. Mira is a very good map to use or inspire from in the future. Bigger, with mechs, and old earth stuff.
I hope they revisit the game they had in mind before the online avatar stuff changed things.
A full remake using X as a basis would be amazing for Switch 2
I don’t think the music is really an issue for the DE/port/remake of X.
Knowing Nintendo, I’m pretty sure they assured the rights to use the music composed for the game in any ways they seem fit like a remake or re-release, and not just the original Wii U edition. They even used some tracks on XC2 DLC for Elma Blade. I’m skeptical about Nintendo not securing themselves about paying twice for the same work (Sawano music) on its own IP.
Other than that, yeah I pretty much agree, the port should imply improved graphics or at the very least better performance, so they’re probably waiting until Switch Next to release the thing as OG Switch would struggle so much.
Also, finishing Klaus trilogy arc was probably a greater priority after XC2 success, and I’m expecting it’ll connect somehow with XCX’s original concept/lore in the future.

Switch in handheld mode much weaker than WiiU but more powerful when in docked mode.. I dont think they want to port it on switch, it will run badly.

@@zultriova89 it’s not usual to reply a comment stating the same, so yeah it looked like a correction/different opinion. Otherwise the sentence would start with “I agree about…” or something along those lines.
In any case, I expect a XCX DE on Switch Next in the first 12 months after release, more likely for the 10th anniversary next year, and I can’t wait to see what kind of prologue/epilogue we’ll get!

yeah, hopefully they will release on next gen, im really looking forward to play it again in better graphic/fps.. not to mention the sequel.. they left with cliffhanger at the end.. it really dream come true if that really happen. im big fan of MonolithSoft works.. thou im still not finish XC3 yet..

Still need this game to come back, with QoL and some of the cut content back.
I would love to see a proper sequel too; and I am totally fine with another Cross type created character again, if only because it's another way for the X "series" to stand out from the mainline games.

I played this game for like 100 hours. All it needs is a Switch 2 re-release, some retcon to get it into the overall Xeno story, and an epilogue to explain what happens next.
30:30 No worry, that's a Hiroyuki Sawano thing from a long time ago, on projects like Kill la Kill or Attack on Titans. I still don't know the exact reason, perhaps he found german sounds nice.

But I can't help to be demoralized/depressed on how a XenoX remaster could run on the next Nintendo console while the Switch struggles.
German words are used a lot in Mecha anime and games because of Germany creating many prototypes for commonly used war machines in WW1 and WW2.
Super Robot Wars features mechs with German names and even weapons and attacks with German names.

Such an amazing game.
I first played this game when I was 7 with my older brother and I'm so glad that he showed me the game (if you see this sorry for hogging the game 24/7 and that you were moved to online research role😅). It is still by far one of my favourite games to this day and made me see games differently, sadly none of the other games have given me the same feeling and I get bored quickly due to the difference. P.S. I need to know what happens don't leave me on a cliff-hanger for the rest of my life😭

Have you seen Runa? Recently overdid its Kickstarter goal, and it has claimed inspiration from Xenoblade and Persona, even pre-Kickstarter it looks clean, even when one person pointed out some battle animations looked stiff (which I didn’t notice), the YT channel didn’t make an excuse and replied “thanks for feedback, we plan to polish the animation” or something to that degree.

Theres plenty of indie games that have way better art direction where the new pokemon games have next to none.
It's my favourite game from Tetsuya Takahashi and the Monolithsoft team since Xenogears - and many of the core devs have the creation of Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger under their belt (Tetsuya Takahashi worked on both).
I may add that the CPU clocks of the Switch drops to 768MHz in handheld mode. Same with the GPU down to 384MHz. Just to put it even more into perspective. Hope you guys enjoyed the video :D
It is just put the game to run at 500p on portable mod and whatever, they did the same with Xenoblade 2 and I had a great experience with it even if the resolution was bad.

I got stuck/bored at getting the skell licence years ago. When I want to jump back, I just can't figure out what to do. I will give it I try again if it is ever ported. Strange for me, as I completed and ended loving the main trilogy and their DLCs.

That’s what I’ve been thinking X was actually just Xenoblade 10 the whole time and all the skells and other tech is inspired from the events in the Klaus saga.
I would love either way but i want to know what is with this planet. Not loosing the awesome gameplay obviously.
I read in a comment in a video about the possibility of underwater areas and maybe, just maybe it would be an great idea for another skell-module.
And a thing i think about since its release: why is the level cap at 60? I hope that they would raise it to 99 and add new stuff for endgame (and make the endbringer a true superboss with an level over 100)

You mentioning the music licensing completely flew over my head when I realized that... there really are NO Xenoblade X music in Smash Bros either. Even Smash Ultimate at launch had a few Xenoblade 2 songs while X's music is completely absent. It seems like an odd comparison to mention Smash Bros for this, but considering we only had 2 Final Fantasy 7 songs prior to Sephiroth, and Smash Bros even has added several songs from third parties like Castlevania and SNK, it never crossed my mind how odd Xenoblade X's music has no representation. And when you said it could be due to copyright, that adds up more than it should.
Also, if they ever do make another trilogy with X. I hope it's titled X, Y, Z. In spite of Pokemon
Xenoblade 2 has Cross music no issue. The fact that there are no tracks on Smash is probably because other unrelated reasons, not copyright.
i dont think its due to copyright.. im sure Nintendo paid hefty sum just to get the right to entire OST alone, heck they not cheaping on music even from XC1 back then..
IMO, when Takahashi said it cost money to port XCX on Switch maybe because it will took a long time to optimized the game to running on Switch, and rather wait for next gen console and focus on development on hands..

This more of take on Xeno series time:
Xenoblade Chronicles 1-3(20XX-4XXX) happens in a pocket dimension caused by a crazy doctor thinking he's God and accidentally calls Earth to disappear for 4,000 years and to a pocket dimension but there are multiple versions of Earth. Eventually these pocket Dimensions two of them merged into a new Earth again after being split into then put back together.😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
Xenosaga 1-3(4XXX - 10,000)takes place in the rest of the universe, pretty much Earth disappear for 4,000 years caused by the conduit/Zohar but the funny thing is the zohar is in three places it's on Earth, and the pocket Dimension until it disappeared from the rest of the universe, and on the edge of the Galaxy( Xeno gears )but looks red, pretty much a red Zohar meaning somehow it can split itself into three parts since it can manipulate reality so it is possible and the one who controls it is God/ U-DO who's been observing Humanity from the very beginning.
Xeno gears(4XXX-10,0000) pretty much at the start a spaceship that left Earth in the 21st century and also this event happened exactly the same time and date as xenosaga episode 1, went to the edge of the Galaxy with the red Zohar even though it's on Earth, but were attacked by some type of creature that came from the Zohar and killed off all the crew except for one Survivor who somehow gave birth to every living creature on the planet. This creature is technically an angel / creation of the Zohar or God/U-DO. And God is sort of neutral he just gives the Zohar to humans to see what would happen I only interferes when it's necessary.
Now Xeno gears takes place 10,000 years later after the events of xenosaga 3, where most of the Galaxy Federation was nearly wiped out by a giant gnosis that can destroy entire planets and it destroyed about half of them which was over 500,000 planets. Pretty much the surviving humans are cut off from one another in theory.
I love all the Xenoblade games including this one. I just wish the cutscene cinematics during intense scenes hit the same way with X. It’s a shame they had to shift development to an online focus
Been gaming since Phoenix was new. - Xenoblade Chronicles X is easily one of the best games ever created. My character gets hired out by other players so much! 😃

Cross is kind of like the Zelda II of the Blade series. It was a wide departure from its predecessor, and while not exactly a bad game, the route they took wasn't well executed IMO. I've tried a couple times to get into it, but it never managed to hook me like the other XC games did. It starts slow and throws a lot of exposition and mechanics at you all at once. Honestly, unless you're a diehard fan, there's not a ton of reason to play it. It's (probably) not canon, and maybe should have been its own thing. Then again, like Zelda II, we have the hindsight of 3 other games (6 if you count the expansions) that kept the basic style of XC1. Things were different when it was just the two. There's a lot of demand for a remaster or remake. But so is there for localized Mother 3. TBH, I think Saga will probably get remade first. Just with the breadcrumbs we've gotten over the years, plus FR heavily implying those games are part of the Blade canon (probably be retconned somehow).
I did in fact play it, and while I thought it's going to appeal to some I didn't like it. The world is pretty cool and the combat is also nice but it's very complicated. The game is very confusing to a point where you need a lot of patience, which isn't really necessary in Xenoblade. I mean, many managed beating 2 without understanding anything about the combat! In X, good luck, better learn it.
Went back to play this on Wii U not long ago the game is pretty much dead/unplayable without online support unfortunately because most of the games mechanics/functions are tied to online functionality hopefully monolith learns from this and not make online play the core experience in their games anymore
It was a fun game but that story was even weirder than normal…and that says a lot.

I don’t know why it took people so long to come to this conclusion, I said this in 2020.
Nintendo spent too much money on X to let it die on the Wii U and X is too big to come to the Switch with even minimal upgrades or even a faithful port.
Xenoblade X is destined to be reborn as a Switch 2 game.
The hardware is not a problem for the game simply because it has sold 140 million units (or more) to this day and every Wii U game ported to Switch runs better.
17:08 The data packs were for speed up the loading times for the disc version only, and they were optional.
The point here is to improve on it like we saw with the original Xenoblade Definitive release. The Switch wouldn't be able to bring a meaningful improvement as the video clearly gets across. So why waste dev resource cost on porting it when it wont be improved artistically or technically. Switch 2 however...
@@Timotribal Because the game DOESN'T NEED technical improvements, just to be playable on a system a lot of people already have (and better tutorials). The game can be patched so it can run better on Switch 2 anyways (same with the numbered Xenoblade games already released).

Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade X are two different games and here's why:
They removed the Chest Slider for female avatars
Xenoblade X had DLC where you could grind friendship points and other things and you had to beat the game to unlock the fashion slots
Xenoblade Chronicles X you have the fashion slots from the start, but you have to beat the game to unlock the DLC and at that point, it's pretty pointless.
not the main point at all, but man I wish people would stop poking the bear about pokemon graphics while talking about x specifically. It happens so often now it makes the tiny x fanbase look like its trying to pick a fight with the pokemon fanbase. Not to mention the weird moralizing that always comes along with it
Scarlet and Violet were the most shitty pokemon games I've ever played. And I thought Sword and Shield were bad.
