The game will receive its next chance in 2025... as XCXDE obviously! Honestly though, thank you for the collab man :D Was a really nice experience to work on these videos with another passionate xeno-creator! May this game get another chance soon...
Tbh - The story we've got was better. I know that most people wanted a repeat of Shulk story, but XCX instead created something better. In XC you have a special Blade, in early concept of XCX you had a special mech that was this game version of special Blade. In the final game YOU are the special Blade, and not only you, but all of the other players, characters we meet, aliens we recruit, we all are the Blade. Making your character a special person with some connection to main plot would kinda ruin it - The point is that we are just one of many people working together to make the future happen, game even shows that with possible companions - Many of them don't have anything to do with the main plot, yet during final battle you can see them fighting with others, because they are Blade. This is what makes this game memorable for me.
when Luxin did a video on the artbook a couple of years ago he brought up some interesting points on the black knight. Also to correct one point, there was actually plans for NLA to be New York as stated in the E3 interview by takahashi himself talking about the vision for the game while the devs were playing the game for us all to watch.
This is a thing that was mentioned but from what I can gather, New York was only an idea for a brief window of time and its difficult to piece together where New Tokyo ended and an America began
@alfiewilliams2852 he said they couldnt do it because the buildings were too complex in development and wouldnt work on the hardware if it was to be 'true' open world.
It's not like Monolith Soft needs the money, but y'know what? It might be fine if they just edited & released the "novel" of the original story of Xenoblade X to tell that original story for people who spent the last 10 years not buying the game. Monolith Soft has made it clear that it's not an easy port-job like bringing The Witcher 3 or Skyrim to Switch. As someone who bought Xenoblade X at launch and played through it at least 3 times, I really want them to spend their game-dev time & money making Xenoblade X2.
25:00 L'cirufe is a reference to Lucifer, and judging by how his fellows look, I think the whole species would've been an allegory for fallen angels. Whether they would've been villains, or heroic allies in an ironic twist, I'm not sure, but I think the Moebius speculation here is spot-on; some have likened Z to being Xenoblade's "Satan", based on his design and how he trapped humanity in a world of their own desires. Speaking of Moebius, Celica's armored design at 23:01 looks quite similar to Consul M, heh.
THIS GAME NEEDS A SEQUEL I THIRST FOR IT THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS SO UNDERDEVELOPED AND HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL MORE SO THAN ANY OTHER XENO SPIN-OFF LIKE PLEASE MONOLITH PLEASE I THIRST FOR IT or remake it T_T.
This becomes the same issue with Xenosaga tho. How much do you change and by the end can you still call it the same game?? Personally, I feel as if they will either bring back X as it is with QOL updates and the such (With a DLC story) OR just re-write the game entirely and give us something completely new. Doing something in the middle just creates this awkward mix where some fans and people will be upset because aspects they liked were change. From a development perspective, it makes more sense to either commit to it entirely or not all
@JBspherefreak i think they move on to something new, like what they did with xenoblade 2. Maybe hints to Xenoblade X, for those who played, but most joining wont need to play x. Maybe they can rerelease x after a sequel, but by then, it'll be past 10 years old...idk how well it will age
@@JBspherefreak I think it's the other way around; keeping the original story but adding onto it and tweaking it in a few small ways tends to work better than a complete reinvention; hence why something like Persona 5 Royal generally went over better with longtime fans than Final Fantasy VII Remake.
In it's current state no but thats likely because much of the plot was changed and re-applied into XC2 and 3. What you really notice after playing X is just how many similarities the two series have whilst never necessarily being the same. I'm fairly confident that X is just a pot of ideas that Monolith has been dipping into ever since and that a new X story would follow that general structure and story but use the modifed elements like the Ares actually being an Ouroboros and so on
I agree. Ideally, I’d like to see Nintendo get the Xenogears trademark from Square and have Xenoblade Chronicles X remade, re-written, completed, and rebranded into Xenogears Episode 1 (or Episode 0, since technically Episode 1 comes a bit later on the timeline).
I'm caught between waiting for a well deserved remake and wishing Monolith would just release the script for closure, I finally understand how people waiting for old N64 and Gamecube titles feel.
I honestly kinda dread having this game made because that would mean having even more content to grind away at because I want to eventually have played every game in the series played to completism(I know, selfish reason, but still).
Well done guys. This was both entertaining and informative! 👏✨ I can't wait for a sequel to xenoblade chronicles x! We need it! Come on monolithsoft!!!❤️🇯🇵🗾
Obviously, I want the game or sequel to come to Switch. That said, seeing all the dropped content makes me wonder if part of the reason they didn’t put it on the Switch was because it wasn’t originally a finished product.
I think the major reason would likely be due to Hardware limitations. Sparks goes over it more in his video but the Switch would not have ran this game well at all. Perhaps there is some element of this game being unifinshed that led to no re-make or re-master ever being released but that is just one of many issues
@@JBspherefreak In the past, I never understood the "hardware" argument because it wasn't DS games where putting them on other consoles would be a tech nightmare. I'll have to watch Sparks video if I remember, but it's strange to think the game as it was couldn't be run on the Switch despite not having all of the content.
@jalengaskin8450 its 100% because the switch cant run it. I made this argument so many times in the past. Finally people are waking up to the switch's limitations and remember its a tegra x1 card sold en masse by nvidia because their GAMING IPAD failled as a concept and nintendo bought their stock. Ive been saying this for years before 3.
@@Implosion-Gaming I think people have always been “awake” to the Switch’s limitations since BotW, but probably didn’t know the full scope of what that meant. To be clear, I don’t know what kind of conversation you’ve had with this topic, just that I’ve never heard people say “the Switch could run any game”
@jalengaskin8450 ive had to argue against that exact argument and I tell fans to stop being fanboys and acknowledge their good faith in the nintendo switch will somehow make third party devs develop for it but its far too weak still. Frames drop consistently in xenoblade 2 and 3 and are notorious for updates and patches to fix their rushed development. There a still current graphical glitches in 3 with map data and polygons being messed up in certain areas. A few users have videos showing these development oversights in each game but the switch had to have so many sacrifices to make xenoblade even work, i mean check xenoblade 2's opening with gormott, graphical glitches in the cutscene and no animals visible from the distance we get that cutscene. On emulators it looks much nicer to see gormott first time. Its just a bit underwhelming to see the series have to jump through hurdles because of nintendos lack of urgency towards better hardware.
I love this game at it is because of the gameplay and i wouldnt want to miss anything. I think the story does its job even if the cliffhanger is hard to digest but yes it could be so much more. I hope a revisit is happening sonner than later and maybe we get to see more of the unused content. I would love an Integration into the other Xenoblade Titles. It would make this universum so great to explore further beyond mira
After downloading all the data packs the game runs smoother than any xenoblade game on switch docked im ngl (considering all xenoblade's worlds are loaded by region on switch). Also helps to restart the wii u often in between playthroughs (ik some people leave the wii u/switch on for days and it takes up ram/cache)
I very much disagree. I have hours of footage of X that would contradict that. The game whilst built for the Wii U and as optimised as possible has serious graphical and performance issues, most of which I never see on the switch games which are heavily optimised as well
@JBspherefreak the texture pop in and loading times are reduced heavily with the data packs and dont look nearly as bad as your videos. Its wild how different a data pack makes. Theyre all high resolution versions of the games textures since they compressed it to fit on disk. (i have the disc vers so i had to download the packs to make pop in and load times less noticeable). Theres no more sandy or rough edges in the games textures when using the data packs either so pop in doesnt look as you described.
@@Implosion-Gaming Thats the thing...all the footage you see recorded is from the Wii U version (Not Emulator) with the Data Packs installed. Sure, TH-cam compression may make it look worse but the loading times and such is on original hardware
@JBspherefreak are they downloaded to system storage then, or are you using an external hard disk drive/usb? The external data will slow down the game more and this even applies to downloading games on the switch sd card vs internal storage if you check loading time videos for xenoblade 2 and 3. The games are somewhat storage speed limited at how fast objects load in. Youll notice this especially in 2 during the gormott sequence, its so rough around the edges how they made cutscenes work in 2. Optimized a lot in 3. And x is the only xenoblade that has every continent loaded in at once.
@JBspherefreak Also youre forgetting the switch runs xenoblade 2 and 3 at a LOWER resolution Natively and are using that to generate more framerate, while also being able to using MS taa UPSCALING to produce the high quality 720p/1080p cutscenes we praise the games for. But if you take the switch out of the dock youll see their resolution scaling technology at work and see the entire parties model resolution drop significantly to accommodate for the smaller screen and the fact its using battery now to run. Also the resolution will drop and the fan speed will increase if the game gets too many objects on it at once. A lot of smart development tricks were used to make us think botw even looks better than it does.
Xenoblade Cross is Takahashis magnum opus that only 840,000 people worldwide were able to witness. I was one of those people and nearly a decade later, I cannot wait to enjoy it once more....
Thanks for making this. I think I would have enjoyed your version. Seeing more alien races come together to fight a common enemy would have been cool and given a more driven story throughout, but I kind of do like the sparse nature of final product that we have. It adds to the open world in a way. We have to piece all our interactions together to get a sense of the lore and world. It feels more sci-fi than getting walked through a more conventional narrative. I know, there are too many things to really connect and remember on one play through, but that gives it replayability, in my opinion. I loved the world of Mira and NLA. I hope we see a sequel or spiritual successor to X specifically with Skells and other interesting Alien races. I also loved the verticality of the world and gameplay that is not as present in the mainstream Xenoblade games.
I remember there being a comment an NPC in X makes about humans being strong (might not be the exact adjective, but same idea) enough to take on the Samaar federation and the section you had at the end I feel could actually show that happening. As much as I already love X I can't help but wish we lived in the world where the development wasn't derailed (and possibly also had a game where the MMO idea was baked in from the start.). It seems the online features were put in to give X more appeal but they weren't that great and it derailed a lot of the rest of the game so it's kind of like we got the worst of both worlds. Really makes me wonder how much more I'd enjoy the hypothetical game
At this point. I think about how could a even a sequel to X look like. Vaatividya, the biggest From Software TH-cam once had a contest for his audience for a bloodborne 2 setting. So why don't you let us brainstorm for a possible sequel to X? How it would look, what could we expect (even if it Dont come to live in the next years probably)? ?
I speculated and made a video on a X sequel actually a lil while ago. It's admittedly outdated by this point but it still does outline a possible sequel idea but it just depends what direction X was originally meant to go in which is difficult since its only half complete or so
So the explosions on Earth's surface were annihilation events? I feel like that line about matter and antimatter cancelling out and /cough "leaving only light" /cough is awfully familiar, too.
Wonder how much they will adjust in the Definitive Edition releasing in 2025. They teased story updates and additions in the DE trailer, how much will change, who knows. I am guessing not much, it will probably add things to the ending a bit and getting the game to mesh with 1-3 in some way. The core story will probably remain mostly the same but I would love to be wrong on this and issues being fleshed out in since its been 10 years now.
Aside from the ending, Chapter 7 is a complete nothing Mission where you literally don't do or accomplish anything other then defeating Goetia so I hope this one gets tweaked also
I feel like there will be very few (if any) story changes outside of putting something in the postgame to, if not tie X more to the Klaus saga, at least imply some way that it can be possible. Imo the most ambitious change I can realistically see is a few alien party members. If there are any, I think Ga Jiarg and Ga Buidhe are the 2 obvious picks, followed by Tatsu and then maybe a Prone or Orphean character: I forget if this was ever confirmed, but the main thing stopping other alien races from being playable was having to model new armor and create new animations for them. The Wrothians both already use weapons that humans have access to and have their own affinity missions so they’d probably be the least effort to implement. But I think significant story changes are a little much outside of MAYBE tying the dlc characters (Yelv, Alexa, HB, Bozé) closer to the story since they won’t be dlc anymore.
Yo, if you want to understand L you just have to read Childhood's End. He doesn't actually share much with Moebius at all. That book actually contextualizes a ton of stuff in the game in general.
Inhales the densest copium to ever exists* later 2025, Nintendo Direct, Monolith Soft logo appears in the screen, new Xenoblade X remaster announced with a redo of the story featuring a new main protagonist with actual character development and retcons to fit better in the better-stablished-now xenoblade universe . . . trailer seems to end BUT WAIT, an scene of the arc falling into Mira appears in the screen and then it's announced: the additional precuel story content with the hero from the past of the story where we can play a "short" story of how the hero protected Mira with Elma and helped the early humans in Mira to live there. Ends the Direct, absolute cinema
Your description of XCX is better than the current version of the game. Let's hope someone from Monolith Soft has seen your video from when you published this and realised their vision of the original game isn't as good as your vision of the game, when it comes to releasing XCX DE. Only time will tell. Also I had no idea there was cut content of XCX, and so I was quiet intrigued.
I don't know, I enjoyed the story of a city from Earth landing on a planet and being forced to survive, and then later on thrive, is a much more interesting story than the other Xenoblade games. I mean, I've played Xenogames since Xenogears (and even the proto-Xenogears games of FF6 and Chrono Trigger) and Xenoblade Chronicles's story was more or less a stripped down Xenogears set in Bionis and Mechonis, and it felt like a lot of stuff fell flat because of what was cut out. And I love the Xenoblade world, that's my favourite element of the game - especially Makna Forest and Fallen Arm. Interesting, the concept of vertical worlds with one living and one mechanical, was done by a dev team related to Tetsuya Takahashi. His first studio was Nihon Falcom, who made Xanadu. They licensed Faxanadu, a sidescrolling adventure game with RPG elements where you climb a giant living vertical tree world and enter a mechanical mountain via a branch, not unlike the sword of Bionis. There's little doubt Takahashi played this gem in his formative years as a developer. The Bionis world is one of my favourites in an RPG, and Faxanadu was one of my favourite NES games. Also, much like Xenoblade, Faxanadu featured "The Evil One" who was an alien entity that had been influencing and controlling the dwarves of the mountain into becoming more aggressive.
Anyway, to answer the closing question. I like the current Xenoblade Chronicles X, but it could use more polish. But anything Tetsuya Takahashi does well can only be a good thing. The game is already massive, and the longest Xenoblade game, but asking for even more content than what exists is always a good thing. I'm wondering if XCX was envisioned as the possible basis for the remake and sequel of Xenogears that Monolithsoft was created to make. It would probably have to be done under the Xenoblade banner, since (while Tetsuya Takahashi has copyrights to his own work) Square Enix owns the Xenogears trademark.
Coming to xeno post X, I would love for them to do a remaster sooooo much. Hell, if not I'll buy a Wii u JUST for it. I have it emulated on PC but it's just not quite the same.
l liked the online implementation tbh. Gotta be my favorite Xenoblade game. Still super cool to see all the lore and content that never made it into the game, but why you hating on it so much?
While im sad much of the story was scrapped. it isn't the end of the world. Xenoblade 1 was intended to be standalone and then was added to. If they do go back to x, they could always give us repurposed bits of story in a sequel or a FC/FR style add-on.
I think expecting so much out of a DLC story would be so much as the current game is probably between 50 to 60% complete at most. That said, I do see a possibility of them releasing that original story and original vision once again in a new re-branded XCX experience
@JBspherefreak oh i dont mean they glue the original story to what x is now. More that elements of the scraped story can be recycled and reinterpreted for potential sequels. Like how saga takes a lot of backstory from perfect works.
I think I get what you mean but every game Xeno game Takahashi has written takes from Perfect Works. I defo feel now that the next game "Xenoblade 4" will be an adaption of this original planned story with elements of Xenosaga and a new twist to keep it fresh for folks who have played X previously
I really really wonder if this game was originally intended as a xenoblade 1 sequel, lots of elements in the Artbook just remind me of Xenoblade 2/3 stuff, and that became the sequel to 1... This game's development is an infinite rabbit hole
What do you mean by take over? This game is all but dead on the switch tho I'm sad to say... sure theres a good chance for their next console but it just wont happen on the switcj
Online capabilities weren't the main reason the scope was cut down, it was mostly because the devs wanted to focus on making their first hd game because they were inexperienced, this is why they focused on gameplay rather than story and Takahashi also says this is why they made the avatar. At Pax they explained more of Nielnail and her race saying that they're race is, saying that their "planet was the final destination for ancient earthlings who left Earth several tens of thousands of years ago. This is why Celica shares a similar appearance and has similar DNA structures." And they also said Neilnail was the leader. They seem to be extrememly important which is why they're being saved for later. About L, I don't think he used plural words in Jp, although I haven't checked in a while. That seems to just have been added in EN thing to show his poor understanding of english. The Shion party member seems to have just become Lin, Lin also used to have a buni emblem she wore like Shion so it seems they got turned into her slowly. My own idea of the black knight is that he's going to be a person who seemed to have died and got brought back to life since that's already happened like 3 times in xeno and already happened with Lao. They'll either from earth or from the white whale attacks since a lot of characters are briefly mentioned in side stories without much else, I specifically think they'll be the lone hero because their return on the opposite side will make some drama with Elma. And they'll probably also be led by some bigger character like always who wants to work for the greater good or something.
It's literally stated by the interviews that this was the major reason and that Development took a massive turn at this point. I'm sure this being their first HD game also played a factor but it wouldn't result in the game being so wishy washy after 5 years of development I did know about the Pax info but was unsure how much of this was actually kept in for the game since it was seemingly cut from the Artbook. The Qlurians are for the most part a massive mystery anyway so I tried to leave out as much speculation as possible I'm not sure about the JP version either. I asked our resident translator Lugalbanda as well but they didn't know off the top of their head either Reina and Lin are for sure similar but I feel there is a large enough distinction between them thanks to the mention of Sakuraba. If Reina truly was just a different rendition of Lin, I feel as if this aspect would have remained the same also but who can say It's hard to say. I agree if you look at X from its current state as that would make sense but based on the original story, it doesn't so much. The idea I mentioned before goes into the Eternal Recurrence stuff and loops back to the line about teh Samaarians arriving at the dawn of the cosmos but its tricky
@@JBspherefreak Takahashi has said this being their first HD is the reason they cut the story. "In RPG development, the sections that cost the most are the cut scenes and events in the main story. Since this is Monolith Soft's first high-definition open world title, we decided to focus less on these and instead shift our resources into improving the quality of the gameplay - which is most important - especially the "hack and slash" combat. This is the reason that we decided to make the player's character an avatar without a real personality." “We deliberately distanced ourselves from having philosophical themes intertwined with the core of the story. Given that we at Monolith Soft had no experience with developing HD titles, our goal with this project was to experiment with and implement the assorted tech skills we needed for HD game development. We decided that trying to balance that with an epic theme-laden story would pose difficulties. Our hope is that we can start by creating the core system, then expand on the story and thematic elements in our future project.”
Exactly...i feel like they knew what they were getting into and prepared to not repeat a xenosaga mistake and plan more than theyre ready for. By segmenting the story this way they save money, time, and build suspense for future plotpoints to be expanded upon as theyve clearly been doing...even chances for crossovers
@JBspherefreak Luxaar mentions the Qlu system being the only other race in the galaxy to have Tri-on barrier technology. Those lines were intentional hints for future plotpoints while also serving as a mechanism for the player to wonder what other technology exists that humanity is capable of using. At least thats how i view these things in developing a cutscenes narrative. Every line is usually important in the voiced scenes. I assume this wasnt dropped and will be introduced later.
It dossent make sense to destroy the rose garden. I beleve the hunans on mira wuld use it to find the other surviving project exodus colony shipps as well as using it to Hunt down the ghosts
Why wouldn't it? The Samaar federations Mothership would pose a huge threat, one that couldn't just be shoved aside by comandeering the ship and on top of that, the Ma-Non quoted that they have more advanced tech then the Samaarians anyway so why wouldn't they just use their existing alliances?
@@JBspherefreak humans are explicitly stated to be creations of Samaar for the purpose of keeping the Ganglion in check, they wouldn’t declare war on humanity over humans doing exactly what they were made to do.
So basically you're saying that a lot of X's lost story became a big chunk of 3's story? Cuz a lot of it sounds very similar to 3. I wonder if that was actually the goal after this game didn't turn out how they wanted it to 🤔
I’d say it’s a bit deeper then that. Many aspects of X were also implemented into 2 in some form or another like the Wrothians being very similar to the Gormotti with similar lore. The thing is, it’s unclear whether these connections are the same or re-adaptions of the ideas cos ultimately, you could remake X as it is but replace these aspects either way their new versions and things largely remain the same
“The game would be made into a pseudo MMO experience for the sake of taking advantage of the Wii U’s online capabilities” Club Penguin and Dark Souls 1 had far more online interactivity than the entirety of the Wii U
I'm not saying the Online Capabilities of the Wii U were good but there's no chance that Nintendo wouldn't have had them incorporate some form of Online aspect if the Devs didn't decide to themselves anyway
Having never touched X, i never could have realised just how influential it was towards the story of the entire rest of the series, its genuinely mindblowing knowing none of the rest of what we have would have existed if it weren't for that novel Takahashi wrote for this game. That said, I'm glad that X wasn't the jumping off point for that. I much prefer the way the characters have been presented and written since 2 and its release, and i think the focus on a unique universe with different rules and limits rather than some sci-fi extension of our own makes for much more engaging world building and fantasy that ties in with the characters' growth and stories and the way they shape the world around them by the end of their journey. Xenoblade 1 succeeded because of how fantastical and unreal its setting and its residents were and X could not be the game to continue that story i personally think
It wasnt an unfinished mess. I was really dissapointed with the main story yes. But the environments look better than the best of the mainline series and it ran as well as them as well. It would be a technological marvel on the switch, never mind the wii u. Good video otherwise though!
I should point out that I love this game and it's arguably my favourite Xeno game but it is still an unifinished mess... ever since I beat this game back in 2015, I've felt the same way that the story was incomplete. Since then, I've looked at many other aspects and could consider it a mess. This game is still great and is still one of my favourites but it is still an unfinished mess
@@JBspherefreakThere are definitely areas where that's the case. I suppose I just find the open world an incredible technical achievement, but you do credit it in the video to be fair. Keep up the good work
@khalimblank i always thought movies and books that left cliffhangers weren't bad and just left more to be expected...idk how its unfinished, rather than, they just scaled back a grand vision in order to develop something worthwhile with their limited time. This way we can get expansions of the plot elements without tiring the player with information. We have 6 different races in game currently and each have their own intertwining stories with multiple endings. I feel like they had a vision and stuck to their own development cycle to keep themselves from repeating a xenosaga /xenogears horror of development...
I don’t know if there is going to be an omega coming in a future game, since a certain dlc tied Xenosaga into things, and that series already had an omega. Omega metempsychosis to be precise.
As someone who personally doesn't like the original X and feels frustrated how we were cheated out of a really interesting story if everything regarding the original protagonist, the Black Knight, and Reina Sakuraba is to be believed, I would definitely have preferred your version. I feel Monolith really shot themselves in the foot making the game part MMO.
@le1660 its kinda annoying how loud the sensitive people are at everything. Ngl. Even if it is weird for her to get those outfits. -but if they change that for her itll probably be the other characters too.
@iceneko9170 they didn't change most of the other cosmetics for the normal female body type. Only for Lyn. Although some of other ones ended up really scuffed and should've just been re- designed
The game will receive its next chance in 2025... as XCXDE obviously!
Honestly though, thank you for the collab man :D Was a really nice experience to work on these videos with another passionate xeno-creator! May this game get another chance soon...

This is what makes this game memorable for me.
Agreed
You are quite literally a Xeno BLADE
I’m sorry but, this games story is CRAP ON A CRACKER when compared to the wider series.
Still one of my biggest gaming disappointments

new new york?
@alfiewilliams2852 he said they couldnt do it because the buildings were too complex in development and wouldnt work on the hardware if it was to be 'true' open world.
@Implosion-Gaming I was just joking, mate.
I’m sure there is a New York Space Ark somewhere out there, at the very least
It's not like Monolith Soft needs the money, but y'know what? It might be fine if they just edited & released the "novel" of the original story of Xenoblade X to tell that original story for people who spent the last 10 years not buying the game.
09:00 that mic quality switch haha 😆
This is a fascinating video oh my goodness, i love learning about this game's development
watch us get at least half of the stuff in this video in the remake
It would be peak and crazy to think of how this all came back but we will see
Monolithsoft should do a “definitive edition” with extra story. Like SMT V vengeance and persona 5 royal.
They can fix the story and add the stuff they need to connect all the games
@Implosion-Gaming when did Dragon's Dogma 1 release considering 2 is coming/out?
Peak is returning
to be honest I don't think it matters if it connects to the Klaus saga or not, I don't think it can but anyway I'd love to play a Xenoblade X DE
@@JBspherefreak also the testament/Mobius looking black knight was never explained
Good timing for this video. It has been on my mind all year! Glad its coming back.
I have so many memories of playing with my friends in the multiplayer mode but the original version of the game sounds really cool. Tough choice
@@lpfan4491rip
My favourite game in the xenoblade series. Yes the main story wasn't as good, but the world was magical.
Well done guys. This was both entertaining and informative! 👏✨
I can't wait for a sequel to xenoblade chronicles x!
38:51 in reference to the later question, I would have preferred a standard Xenoblade story, but the game as it is was till good
Finally, its coming to Switch!!!!!
Obviously they could totally make use of a lot of the cut stuff for a sequel, right?
please.
Guys I have some news
I want a remake or something from x
came from Sparks video, really cool content guys
I didn't even remember this had online features. 😅 "Loosely connected" is an overstatement.
I love this game so much
XCX 2 on new Switch😢😭
🤝
I want the X series to become xenoblade's versjon of final fantasy 14
We've missed you!
0:55 I feel concerned
Its not that much Copium compared to what the Saga fanbase is smoking rn 😂
No kidding! @@JBspherefreak
How the fuck did I get my internal clock off by a whole fucking year?
Do you think its 2025?? 😂
@@JBspherefreak No, I thought X came out in 2014 for some reason!
Nice one!
Coming to xeno post X, I would love for them to do a remaster sooooo much. Hell, if not I'll buy a Wii u JUST for it. I have it emulated on PC but it's just not quite the same.
gran video
You are aware that you can eat a potato, unlike Tatsu.
l liked the online implementation tbh. Gotta be my favorite Xenoblade game. Still super cool to see all the lore and content that never made it into the game, but why you hating on it so much?
Your telling of the story would be way more enjoyable. I like it.
more xenoblade X content🗣🗣🗣🗣
@JBspherefreak im going to be brave and predict the new plot will somehow be the zohar's fault. Glory to the shit stiring cross. ✝️
X must come to the Switch it's tood good, I'm sure regular Xenoblade gamers think they are scared of X taking over
What do you mean by take over?
I'm sure this being their first HD game also played a factor but it wouldn't result in the game being so wishy washy after 5 years of development
I did know about the Pax info but was unsure how much of this was actually kept in for the game since it was seemingly cut from the Artbook. The Qlurians are for the most part a massive mystery anyway so I tried to leave out as much speculation as possible
I'm not sure about the JP version either. I asked our resident translator Lugalbanda as well but they didn't know off the top of their head either
Reina and Lin are for sure similar but I feel there is a large enough distinction between them thanks to the mention of Sakuraba. If Reina truly was just a different rendition of Lin, I feel as if this aspect would have remained the same also but who can say
It's hard to say.
This is the reason that we decided to make the player's character an avatar without a real personality."
“We deliberately distanced ourselves from having philosophical themes intertwined with the core of the story.
The thing is, it’s unclear whether these connections are the same or re-adaptions of the ideas cos ultimately, you could remake X as it is but replace these aspects either way their new versions and things largely remain the same
“The game would be made into a pseudo MMO experience for the sake of taking advantage of the Wii U’s online capabilities”
Club Penguin and Dark Souls 1 had far more online interactivity than the entirety of the Wii U
I'm not saying the Online Capabilities of the Wii U were good but there's no chance that Nintendo wouldn't have had them incorporate some form of Online aspect if the Devs didn't decide to themselves anyway
Can you check the SparksOpus link? It doesnt work apparently
Fixed, thanks for pointing that out 👍
This game needs a 2nd chance.
Yea, I can agree with this, I'm glad it existed but also like how its its own thing
Omega metempsychosis to be precise.
first
11:47 cockpit mode not a cutscene
Well shit
As someone who personally doesn't like the original X and feels frustrated how we were cheated out of a really interesting story if everything regarding the original protagonist, the Black Knight, and Reina Sakuraba is to be believed, I would definitely have preferred your version. I feel Monolith really shot themselves in the foot making the game part MMO.
You and me both sister, looks like it's gonna stay that way for a while.
I hope this game gets a second chance. it is my favorite in the series despite its flaws.
just dont censor the outfits.
Oh no, you can't have a 13 yo girl in a bikini, whatever shall you do!
I've always wished that the game didn't tie itself to the actual real world by referring to the real city, Los Angeles.
How come?
