Chad Gray says, "Planning a wedding is grueling - from flowers to location to picking the music. We initially chose 'Dream On' for our first dance song. Now I'm not sure how or why I landed on 'Always on my Mind.' I'm assuming I heard it in passing and it stuck. I just remember, late one night, thinking about it and going online to search the lyrics and listen to the track. As it was playing, the lyrics were so emotional and compelling that it actually moved me. So I reached out to my producer and very good friend Kevin Churko and asked if he would do a cover with me. He responded, 'What song?' I told him and he was like, 'WHOA! Okay.' So he reached out to the keyboard player for Ozzy, who is obviously not doing anything in this shit time we're living in, and sent us three different takes and flavors of the song. We landed on one and started tracking it vocally. It was super cool when I started it, because I realized that this was such a different way of singing. No one has ever heard me doing anything like this. This was done for my wedding, but I thought, 'Should I release this song to the public?' I always talk about how I look at my fans as more than fans. They're family, and I wanted to share this moment with them."
The track was produced with Kevin Churko at the Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, exclusively marketed and distributed by ONErpm.

I listened to Undeniable and singles from Welcome Home while I recycled everyday to eat. I am a Domestic Violence survivor so Hush spoke to me deeply. I am also a recovering addict with almost 7 years clean. I had a cat on the street as well. Unfortunately she disappeared and I knew in my heart she was gone. The line in Welcome Home “Why does this feeling of loss feel like a welcome home” resonated within me. The day that the Welcome Home album was released I received the keys to my new home. I'm glad you survived. I too have had a rough life-survived my physically and emotionally abusive father, brutally beaten and raped by a stranger, and am now battling lupus for my life. Without music and cats I don't know if I would still be here. Stevie Ray Vaughan helped me so much after the rape when I was 21. When he died I took it really bad. Music surely can save your soul as you know.

This really moved me chad. I've been a huge fan since the beginning of your career with mudvayne to the brothers of hellyeah. Life has sure thrown it's curve balls and I was right along with you in it with your music helping me through it. And the biggest storm hit for me last week as we had to lay to rest my closest cousin who was like a brother to me, he lost his battle with depression. Life couldn't get any harder but I pressed on. Then I come across this song this morning and immediately felt peace... like the hulk channeling his anger to being only human.
