    I loved seeing how Grogu is learning strategy. Was aware his force powers tired him and were not unlimited, so he used them sparingly until they were needed the most. He likely could have taken out the Guard early on but may not have been able to save himself Bo and Din later on. Smart baby!

    Something I noticed particularly a LOT in both this episode and this season, is they're taking the care to SHOW Grogu is growing, and understanding things. When Din says "You did good kid." Grogu nods right in response. And during the adoption scene, Grogu almost looks UPSET at not being able to be part of their Song. And when The Armorer acknowledges him as Din Grogu, he again nods right back. Not to mention he legit babbled "This is the Way." and I stand by that considering Din and Bo's reaction to his babble there. I really like that. Lil man is growing up.

    “The spies” from episode 7 was a biblical reference to Moses’ 12 spies (one from each tribe) who were sent ahead to scout the promised land and make sure it was suitable for them. Including Bo, there were 12 Mandalorians who went down ahead to scout Mandalore

    This season faced the adverse reactions of over analyzing from fans. People expected way more than they should have. Sure it would have been nice to have an Ashoka or other cameo, but this was a satisfactory ending to this season. We have Mandalore back, Djarin officially accepted Grogu as his son and they have a peaceful place to go to, and Grogu showed his growth in his abilities. He used his power way more than before and didn’t pass out.

      Satisfying? Moff Gideon appears in the end and gets "killed" shortly afterwards. "Killed" because we never see him die, just flames surrounding him. He's fully armoured up, so he could well survive that. If they can fly into space with those helmets, he can surely survive some fire with his own upgraded version. "We need to end it, stop running". "The Spies" is actually a biblical reference to a group which is echoed by Bo's scouting party. In the Book of Numbers, Moses sends out twelve people - one from each of the Israelite tribes - to scout the land of Canaan to see if it could be a good place for them to settle. The scouts are called the Twelve Spies.

    I like that they allowed the show to reset hard to a serialized father-son adventure story but didn’t commit to anything. They can continue the show from here if they want (in a year, in five years, in ten years, whatever) or the show can just be over forever if they want. I don’t think they’ll end it, but they might (and just have the Dins show up in other shows and movies in the time period) and now they’re set up so they have all those options on the table. Good stuff.

      Imagine how OP and unbalanced this show would be if they hadn't wisely removed his ludicrous disintegration blaster from Season 1. You'd think Mandalorian weapons like that would be more coveted than the Darksaber itself, and that Moff Gideon building an "ultimate army" would've been looking into _that_ tech this whole time... would've been a much shorter battle... 😳

Why did Gideon just learn about Nevarro from Elia, instead of it being old news?), just because they seized that preconception instead of keeping an open mind and letting things unfold before they judged.

    Fantastic episode. Taking back Mandalore was always in the background since the first season. There is finally a Mandalore and it's people are where they are supposed to be. Now Din and Grogu can go on adventures and while Grogu may never actually become a jedi officially, he still has the force. He will continue to develop and grow into his power. We already saw that even though he does need help, he can now defend himself fairly well. And to me, he is the future of Mandalore. He knows the mythisaur is there and at some point I'm sure there will be a meeting between them both.

    I think your reaction to this season and episode overall could be a result of expectation vs. reality. for me, it was a great season and since I’ve been looking at the show from a 3 season arc point of view, I think the entire story has been wrapped up so nicely. Din and Grogu are closer than ever, having now been officially bonded as father and son; Grogu (now Din Grogu) has grown so much in his abilities and confidence; Bo Katan has now broken free of the expectations the dark saber had placed on her and can now rule Mandalore based on her leadership abilities, rather than on a piece of weaponry; the Mandalorians have now taken back Mandalore and now have their own home, rather than a small place on Navarro, where they can grow and prosper once more; we now know Moff Gideon’s true intentions and have taken care of him (or have we?); and finally, the Mandalorians are working together and will now be able to be a formidable force once again. and they’ll have to remain formidable if Thrawn is coming back, which he probably is. seeing Din Djarin and Din Grogu relaxing in their little spot at the end was so satisfying to me. this season had so much emotional impact for me and I’m totally satisfied. ❤

I wouldn’t say I was sold on an “expectation” on what plot would be - everyone had guesses on what might happen but little theories don’t equate to expectation. This more so comes down to execution. I wasn’t a big fan of how things were executed overall regarding the handling of storytelling in terms of writing & direction. By the way, I discovered your channel through your reactions of Mandalorian s1, followed one year later by s2, and your passion and enthusiasm was so infectious it actually managed to amplify my own love of the series !
    I feel so sorry to see you all so dejected after this whimper of a season 3...
    BUT
    I'll go out with 2 more upbeats notes.
    1/ this season has been written and started production 2 years ago, when KK wasn't busy with the movies anymore AND Chapek was still very much in full force. These 2 together, as Michael has said, were REALLY not making for a good working environment at both Disney and Lucasfilm. If Favreau has already written all of s4's during this season's post production, now that Chapek is gone and KK is probably on her way out, there is hope that s4 might be less restrained, and we get back to s1 and 2's form. No guarantee, but well, hope is what keeps us alive. I'm already glad they didn't offed Din Djarin
    2/ Much earlier than s4, we're gonna have Visions vol 2 coming on May the 4th.
    I'm working in the animation indsutry, and I know at least 4 of the 9 studios brought to the forefront with this volume ,and BOY ! You're not ready for these !!!
    - UK's legendary studio Aardman, who's created the iconic Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep franchises ;
    - Ireland's Cartoon Saloon, creators of the wonderful Secret of Kells, Song of the sea, Breadwinner and Wolfwalkers, all of them Oscars nominated ;
    - S.Korea's Studio Mir, the studio who produced all the animations from Avatar the Last Airbender and the Legend of Korra, nothing less...
    - And my personal favorite (if the previous ones weren't already fantastic enough), France's Studio la Cachette, who have worked on Love, Death, and Robots, and Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal and the coming Unicorn Warriors Eternal, on top of a bunch of formidable french animation features and series, like Ernest and Celestine, a Trip to Gibberitia.
    And if you want to see some more personal works of them, go check out on youtube their graduation movie from les Gobelins : Le Royaume, and a trailer they've done for one of their own director's comic book, Kairos ! And prepare to be blown away ! To me, they are well on their way to become France's Studio Ghibli.
    All these studios are among the creme de la creme of the worldwide animation industry, and from what I could see in their presentations at Celebration, I'm already salivating ! Cherry on top of the cake : for any studio outside of Lucasfilm working on star Wars, they're on a mission ! We already saw it with Visions vol.1, with every studio bringing their absolute A-Game, so given the talents involved this time, I'm every bit convinced that our minds will be blown even further by vol.2.
    And best of the best : You can be sure they stayed far from KK's greasy clutches, so their visions (haha) will be unstained.
    How sad is it for star wars to see that the best Star Wars content comes from the far outer rim of Lucasfilm...
    But hey, if it spins out into a whole Star Wars animated multiverse, I'm all for it !
    Bring on the Twins and the Ninth Jedi as full fledged series !

      I know you're exaggerating, but the stakes were actually low in the finale. I don't think we even see a single Mandalorian die. It's 0 losses for the good guys, and all the losses for Gideon. The plot with the force-wielding clones was introduced, and then discarded in a span of 2 minutes. I guess it's a good subversion of expectations. Mandalorians just came in, killed everybody, and went on without elaborating.

    This was such an incredible episode. I loved this one so much, I thought it was perfect. I felt like everything about it was just so fantastic in every aspect. The the story, the writing, the action and the interactions between the characters made this episode even more incredible. I also loved the score for this episode, it gave us both that classic Mandalorian theme that we love and some action, thriller sounding themes. And the set design for the locations in this one were so amazing. Whether it was the ruins of Mandalor, or Navarro they just looked so real, fantastic, and really lived in through out the entirety of their scenes. Right off the bat it was really cool to see Mando escape from those Imperial Mandalorians, the choreography was awesome and it was really cool to see Grogu come in and help Din. And that Mando hallway fight with Imperial Mandalorians was also really awesome. Again the choreography was amazing, its always just so great to see Mando beating up Imperials, especially with all the unique and different ways he went about it. Also I found all the R5 scenes so funny. Whether it was the way he acted/moved or the things he did with those Mouse Droids. And then we get to see a live action Attack of Mandalor. This was so amazing to get to see, it was awesome and really visually and ascetically pleasing in every way. It was so great to see Bo-Katan leading the army of Mandalorians into battle while wielding the Darksaber. And again the choreography for this battle was amazing, seeing all the Mandalorians fighting the Imperial Mandalorians was awesome, seeing all the unique and different ways the Mandalorians were able to take them out was so cool. And its always great to see more of The Armorer in action. Then we get the reveal of Moff Gideon Clones. This was an insane reveal that I could have never seen coming. All this time I’ve been thinking that the Clones he was making were to reincarnate Palpatine, but it was really for Force Sensitive Clones of himself. I wonder if this plot line will come back up in Season 3. Then we get to see a really cool fight scene between Moff Gideon and Din. It was cool to get to see these two have a rematch after their last fight in Season 2. I will say though, it was a little weird to me that Moff Gideon was able to overpower Din so many times. From what we saw in their fight in Season 2, Din was a much more skilled fighter and was easily able to take him down after he disarmed him of the Darksaber. So maybe that Mandalorian, Dark Trooper armor he was wearing was giving him a little added strength. Then after that we get to see another cool fight, between Mando, Grogu and the Praetorian Guards. I loved being able to see the two of them working together in order to defeat their opponents. Especially when Grogu would use the force on one of the Praetorian Guards that would allow Mando to take one of them out. And I loved the fight between Bo-Katan and Moff Gideon. It was so great to finally get to see these two fighting. I thought that the choreography in this was really cool and I really liked the way how you could feel Bo-Katan’s emotions throughout the fight. It felt like with each strike she was releasing more and more of her hatred for him. And, wow, Moff Gideon literally broke the Darksaber with his hands. Further proof of my theory that the Mandalorian, Dark Trooper armor he was wearing was giving him a little added strength. I also feel like the destruction of the Darksaber could be a very important part of the Mandalorian’s future. Now that it is gone, none of them will fight over who should rule purely based off of who owns the Darksaber. And it was so awesome to see Axe Woves crash the Light Cruiser into the base. Not only was it just a really cool move, but it also proved how far he was willing to go in order to help save his people. Also Moff Gideon just die? Or is this some sort of trick to get us to believe he’s dead when really that was just a Clone. Either way it was satisfying to finally get to see him get what he had coming to him after all the bad things he had done. I also loved the way how Grogu stopped the explosion from hitting him, Din and Bo the same way that Kanan did in Rebels. And I really liked the ending of this episode, it really felt like it was able to wrap up (or for one case check back in on) the remaining storylines for this season. It was really great to see the Mandalorians finally coming together in order to rebuild Mandalor. I also liked how we got to see them restoring Mandalor in both a physical and spiritual way. They were able to physically start the restoration of Mandalor by restarting the Great Forge, and they were able to spiritually restore Mandalor by doing the ritual for the Children of the Watch. And it was so heartwarming to see Mando officially adopt Grogu as his son. I also really liked getting to see another glimpse at the Mythosaur, but I will admit I was a little bit surprised that this was the most we saw of it after Episode 2. Maybe this means they are setting up for its true return to be in Season 4. Speaking of Season 4, I loved the setup they made for it by having Din becoming a private contractor for Carson Teva in order to hunt down other Imperial remnants. It was really cool to see Greef Karga again, I always enjoy getting to see Navarro, especially when Din and Greef do their special handshake. And I loved that we finally (really) got IG-11 back, I have been waiting for his real return ever since they teased us with it in the first episode of this season. And I like how Din kind of left him as a present for Greef as the Marshal of Navarro, I wonder if he will be present in Season 4. Also what was up with that weird, cartoonish, Looney Tunes looking, closing transition? Don’t get me wrong, I loved that the final shot was of Din and Grogu together, but still what was up with that thing. Also this is the first season in the show where we didn’t get to see Din’s face. I actually found this really surprising. I thought at the very least we would have gotten to see him with his helmet off while he was sitting at his Navarro home at the end. Anyway, I loved this episode so much. It was so perfect in every aspect and served as a great action packed thriller. I really loved this season, despite its ups and downs I was still able to enjoy it a lot and appreciate it for everything it was able to accomplish and give us. I cannot wait for next season and to see what it will be about, whenever it may be. It was so great to watch your reactions to this season and I can’t wait to watch more down the line.

    One thing that does make me optimistic for the future of the show is that this season, while trying to go bigger, ultimately left things in the perfect setup to go back to the simpler formula that many people seem to love about the show. Gideon is gone for good, most of the Mandalorians are gonna be rebuilding their civilization, the New Republic is still terrible at maintaining peace in the galaxy, there are more Imperials scheming in the shadows, and Din Djarin is ready to go back to bounty hunting, only now he’s gotta raise his son as a Mandalorian. All we need is for something to go horribly wrong for our heroes to have to fix.

    I'm ok with this finale because I was expecting the worst. Since they've already shown connections to the sequels and one of the actors said that the finale wasn't gonna be for everybody, I was like "wait a second, there isn't a single mandalorian in the sequels, are they ALL gonna die??" so I was expecting either that or like 3 mandos surviving. Which could've been interesting but 100% not what I would've wanted. And that's pretty much why an "ok I guess" finale like this is good enough for me.
    I think the main problem this show now has is that it's no longer its own thing, now it's part of "the bigger picture" and it'll be used for that instead of showing us more stuff about the characters we already have. I would fucking kill for an Armorer episode and retaking Mandalore should've probably taken a few more episodes IMO.
    BTW, Din and Grogu chilling at the end kinda made me feel like this was the last season of the show.
