Love this piece! My favorite part is that the crotale isn't overplayed in the piece, it's very tastefully used. Great composing!

A beautiful piece, well defined rhythms and excellent dynamics, the tempo of the music fits incredibly well with the cords and musical notes within the piece. I love the addition of the crotale it gives it a good emotional feel to the piece as well.

I just love this piece and was curious if you decided a specific note for the crotale? Plus I’d love to play this one day.

Very pretty piece. What made you want to add the bells? They sound nice coupled with the marimba but I'm not not very sure as to what their purpose is. Overall, I enjoyed listening to this.

+Jacob C. The solitary tone provided by the crotale symbolizes the straightforwardness, unwavering, and "unbent" characteristics of a good friend.

Just wondering for anyone who knows, why does he (and some other burton performers) use more shaft out the back while some use less? What changes?

Would you say that the crotale is “required” for the piece? Or could it just be used as a nice addition to the piece?

Dr. Chad, please be so kind as to share with me what kind of mallets you are playing with. They have a nice round shape and seem to be overpowering the Musser 4.3 bars.
