Slaves has an album dropping August 7th with their new singer Matt McAndrew, who was on the voice a few years ago. They have been dropping nothing but heat since Matt joined the band.
Also, if you read into JC's story, it's very controversial, but he's made a solo EP that was #1 on the R&B charts for a few weeks and he's now working on a full length album. This man is fire, his girl is pregnant and you can tell he's genuinely working on being happy now, but still struggling at some points in his life. I believe he is currently away making the album while his girl is at home. Every band he's been with from Dance Gavin Dance, Slaves and to Emarosa, he's been amazing with, but his troubled past always seems to take over and ultimately be his demise. I'm rooting for him though, because he has literally been blessed with a voice from god. He is a self taught vocalist, so I don't think anyone can teach themselves that just naturally.
Jonny Craig (Frontman) is horribly troubled, but INSANELY good. Definitely has the best voice in the scene and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. His current solo stuff is good, but listen to "I know a lot of artists" by slaves or "The Pact" both are straight fire, and he really puts his heart on his sleeve. His Music with Emarosa was just on a different level compared to anyone else. No one was doing what Jonny was doing. The dude truly is a musical Genius.

He left the band a little bit ago for undisclosed reasons, but many think it is was about drugs. Matt MacAndrew (former The Voice contestant), thankfully was working with a guy from Escape the Fate (who Slaves had just left for a tour in Europe with before Johnny left) on a side project prior to tour, was asked by Slaves to hop on the European run with them, listened to about 30 seconds of one song and said he could do it. They now have five singles (Heavier, Prayers, Bury a Life, Talk to A Friend, and Wasting my Youth) out from their new record called To Better Days, coming out at the end of August. I know this made me sound super professional, but oh well. I love slaves and will always ride or die with them!
